Good Morning Lovely Ladies
I had a big day yesterday. Went to DMums determined to get some answers as to why she is still in pain after 11days. Took her to Dr and convinced him Xrays were needed, then to Xrays, then back to Dr. Somehow managed to convince radiographer to give us copies of not only new xrays but also xrays from hospital stay so Dr could compare, then managed to convince Dr to see us 'after hours' to read xray. Long story short, her original problem seems to have cleared so we now know we can stop giving her so much of the medicine AND Dr believes she may have a crushed vertebra and now that is what is causing all the pain. As she has Osteoporosis it is possible for this to happen without much impact. So I finally convinced DMum to come over here for the weekend so we can look after her and she can just sit and rest. The pain seems worse on movement. This pain was there when she presented to hospital twice and both times they took Xrays and she also had 1 CT Scan. They made original diagnosis and just stopped looking, turns out she had 2 problems. Would have been nice to have them treating both and maybe they could have reduced the pain she was in.
Also yesterday I managed to get DMum's washing dry, despite a day of rain. Feeling like the 'washing whisperer' right now, 6 loads line dried on 2 fairly rainy days, I don't even know how, lol.
DD16 arrived back from the ski trip about 10.30 last night. She's had a great time, doesn't like/isn't good at skiing but loved the rest of it. So I am a happy mum with my little duck back under my roof.
Todays big plan, wash DD16's trip clothes, take care of DMum and exercise for the 1st time in almost a fortnight. And whatever comes my way. I could have a full house for dinner tonight I think.
Wishing you all a Super Saturday and a Wonderful Weekend ahead. May we all schedule some time to Relax, Rest and Renew for the coming week. xoxoxo

Medusa, enjoy your day whatever it brings xoxo
9am..I've been up for 2.5hrs
Coffee and fluffed about on facebook and posted here Sorted DD16's washing into loads Load 1 done Made my bed Folded 2 baskets of washing Dressed Out to Local Hot Bread Shop for fresh bread and treats Then onto bigger shopping center to ALDI for flowers and newspaper and coffee shop for a big jolt Home again
DMum is still in bed snoring her head off, lol. I just checked and she only had pain tablets at bedtime (none needed during the night), she went to bed about 9.30 last night and was asleep at 10.30 when I got DD16 home, I guess that means she finds the bed comfortable.
No sign of DD16 yet either but she was very hyped up when she got home and didn't go to bed until after me.
Heading to put on load 2
Have a great day

Hi Shellie, You are amazing in all the care you give your family. Hope DMum feels more comfortable soon and glad DD enjoyed her trip.
Hi Medusa, Hope you had a great day, whatever it brought.
A huge day here, music lesson, 3 soccer games, soccer break up, trip to Apple store for phone repair, DD to DGf's for sleepover.
Tomorrow is a DGf's son's 1st birthday party - will go and share, but probably won't stay for hours. We are off on our big trip on Thursday and I'm working Monday and Wednesday, so tomorrow I'm packing - the kids have plenty of clothes to start pulling the packing out of their drawers and trying to finish up the washing and make a list for anything we might need between now and leaving. It's very exciting, but I'm a bit swamped. Just registered the big kids for cricket season - so that's off my to do list for before we leave.
Hope you have a great weekend.

Oh, Shellie, sorry to hear about your mum! Collapsed vertebrae are horribly painful. I do hope her pain is soon under control. Just coming to the end of a week off - went up to in-laws for a few days which was a nice break, then had a day at home to relax and then took the kids to some local attractions and ate out/got takeaways in the evenings to save on the cooking. Tiring in its own way, but a much-needed break from normal! I've got quite a bit done over the holidays, but am sadly behind on the desk work and need to get that done, and have a TON of laundry to catch up on (DS has started bedwetting again, and the combination of that and being out all day on several days and unable to reboot laundry during the day has really made things pile up). Started feeling a bit overwhelmed with all I had to do, so decided I'd try the Crisis Cleaning format, but do it differently as the things Flylady focuses on in a crisis clean aren't really the things I need to focus on. So, what I'm going to do is: - Before doing anything: get DD's hair brushed as haven't done that yet.
- Instead of working on the kitchen - work on getting accounts up to date and other stuff on my desk
- For living room - focus specifically on the mess of Lego on the windowsill, as that's the main problem in there at the moment.
- Instead of bathroom - clear the stairs off.
- Laundry reboots whenever due.
Off I go! I'll report back here to keep my motivation up.

Progress update 1:
Haven't actually got to anything 15 minute-y yet as had various child-related things to do. However, laundry all rebooted for the time being (got a load in currently and another to do after that, so not done with it for the day) and DD's hair brushed.
Won't be getting much done for a bit, as DD wants me to help her with her racing car set & DH will be back soon with shopping to unload, plus DS will need his lunch making. Hoping for a chance to pick up later on.

OK... so the day's tasks took an unexpected sideways turn into decluttering/reorganising the shelf of tinned & packet food at the back of the kitchen. DH came back from the supermarket with a bunch of jars that needed to go on there (must have been a special offer on that sauce or something), I started shifting stuff around to try to make space, and I ended up finding a whole bunch of out-of-date stuff. Once I got started clearing that out I decided I might as well do it thoroughly, so have cleared out all the out-of-date jars/packets and reorganised what's left so that stuff will (hopefully) get used up properly and in date order, plus switched some of that stuff with the cupboard stuff so that it's better organised. Not what I was planning to do with the day, but it feels good to have it done.
Kids are currently immersed in watching YouTube and it's still a while before the current laundry load finishes, so, assuming there are no other calls on my attention (obviously rather a large assumption, but still...), I'll get started on the 15-minute plan.
Let's see: Dressed to slippers (don't wear shoes in the house) - Check Hair brushed & face washed - Check. Music available - Check, though I won't use it for the desk stuff as need to concentrate on accounts etc. Scented candle - don't think I own one and certainly wouldn't burn it with the children around, so skip that part First part of Crisis Cleaning plan - 15 mins kitchen/15 mins living room/15 mins kitchen again/15 mins break, so for me that translates into 15 mins desk/15 mins living-room windowsill/15 mins desk/break.
Ready... set... go!

OK - once more unto the breach. Batting order for the next 45 minutes is apparently stairs, desk, windowsill.

Stairs - only took 10 mins so I spent the other five in the children's room & finally finished the unpacking I should have done on Tuesday (whatever - it was my day off) Desk - sent invoices, got together stuff for pension contribution, did few minutes unscheduled decluttering on my bag trying to find a form that then turned up on my desk. (However, the bag decluttering needed doing too. And I found a letter I hadn't yet opened saying I was getting a pay rise next month, so that was an excellent find!) Living room - got almost to the end of putting away the Lego Friends set, so kept going for a few minutes and finished that one off. So there you are - a successful day. I need to go do some stuff in the kitchen now, following which I'll have exercising to do & yet more laundry to reboot, so I think that's enough of the 15 minute sessions for today. They did their job very nicely.
