Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Sleep - is it really that important??? Just wondering. Got about 4 maybe 5 hours last night. A 'CHANGE' is upon me, I am sure of it. Night 'sweats' and night 'heats' (just hot beyond reason but not sweating). My regular visitor is not so regular anymore, it's been months. And another symptom or two that really do go in the TMI category. Sigh!!!!! So yeah, Sleep, it's really overrated right, not really that necessary?
I have DMum at my place for now, I am calling the 'shower team' and see how they feel about changing locations to my place. She just isn't copying at home and yesterday when I drove her over here she got nausea and felt so crappy for the rest of the night that she didn't want to eat or even smile. That's no way to be. So I think if I can keep her here and not 'shake her up' too much in the car, I can get her appetite back and eating regularly. Also want to call the Dr and see if he will write a script for Pain patch and anti Nausea medication over the phone as he as seen her this week and knows the circumstances.
DD16's Deep Sea Fishing excursion went well yesterday. She even caught a Flathead which I baked in the oven last night, which was pretty dry, boney and just not that great to be honest. But YAY she caught a fish. Thankfully we had a nice piece of Turkey Roast to go with it and some steam veg.
Today I'd like to WHB, or at least start it. And hopefully the weather holds up for a load or two. Dinner tonight is Pork Chops, maybe in the Slow Cooker with sly jar of marinade for flavour (not on the diet, but not terrible either)
Ok, time to get a move on and do all the quiet chores while DD's and DMum sleep.
Wishing you a Terrific Tuesday xoxo

Good morning Shellie and everyone else to come, hope we slept well. Sorry Shelle, hope you have time for nap today or sleep well tonight.
Sorry can't 'help' you Shellie re: 'CHANGE' but does sound like it via some friends who have or are going thru it. Hopefully it's not too much trouble for 'Shower Team' to change locations for their client, to make their client more comfortable. Poor mum, hope the Dr writes the scripts for you to pick up and fill in, much much easier for mum and you and hopefully they work for her.
Well I didn't get thru my list yesterday, what's new?? Distraction, so easily distracted that I even get distracted while I'm being distracted....oh look shiny red ball!! See what I mean
Anyway I've posted my to do's for today, last day off, and have made a start. Today DH & I are having lunch with some old friends from NSW before they fly back this arvo. They arrived on Saturday and joined in DH's 50th so that was good and have spent the last couple of days further north surfing, well her DH likes surfing she likes shopping lol.
Ok time's ticking away, trying to keep to a schedule (yeah right....MRS EASILY DISTRACTED!!) Have a great day, and hope the end of day is better than the beginning.

Good Morning Shellie, Systems & those to come later,
Thanks Shellie & Sys for a laugh while reading your posts, you girls have such a wonderful sense of humour.
Shellie - CHANGE doesn't sound like something to look forward to I hope everything gets sorted with your DMum today.
Sys - I can't help with the distraction problem - I've got it bad too. Enjoy your lunch out!
Today it's overcast & bleh. I've got a load of washing in the dryer & the spare bed sheets in the washing machine. I need to pay bills & FACE like an adult because it's been ignored for too long. I've started sorting another storage box of old papers but I'm doing that in small chunks.
The state of the kitchen is questionable right now. So that's first job on the list. And a good PUPA.
Time to get my groove on - wishing you all a great day

Posting on the fly - busy day ahead with an even busier few months to come! Today's the start of a new school year, so I have to go get the kids up and ready in a minute - back to trying to get them ready for school and out the door without completely losing my temper. Wish me luck! After having done that, I will have to collect the tattered shreds of my energy and: - Whiz along to the library to see whether I can be the first to get the one copy of the book we're doing this month for the Book Club
- Shopping
- Vacuum kitchen floor
- Exercising
- Take out rubbish
- Mop kitchen floor
- Shower
- Order birthday presents for two nephews & DH
- Get pension payment sorted out for this month
- Check on weird thing with AA where they texted me to say my payment didn't go through even though it's nowhere near the time of year when it's due (I thought it was spam, but I checked and it's got my correct number on it)
- Catch up on some work stuff
- Try to at least get started on an educational module
- Pick up kids on time, hoping my son won't have done anything too disastrous over the course of the day (that's if we even make it through the day without me getting called in because there's a problem, which is a pretty big 'if' the way things have been going)
- Get dinner ready at a decent hour
- Get kids to bed without strangling them on the way
- And, if I have time or energy, do some ironing.
Phew. Well, that list won't do itself, so I'd better go wake kids up & get started. Catch you later!

Hi All, Just a quick note to say hi. FIL's funeral was today, a long service at church, then to the crematorium and then back to MIL's. My mum is in hospital with an abdominal infection too.....
I told DH I am cancelling my birthday this year (is in 2 days) as it seems like too much hassle

Sorry to hear that, Medusahair- I hope your mother feels better soon and that your MIL is managing all right.
Make sure you do something to spoil yourself on your birthday, even if you don't feel like having a party. Happy Birthday for Thursday.

The first half of my day has gone well, on the whole:
Kids off to school without any more than the usual amount of chaos and craziness. Tiring, but a biiiiiig improvement on the days when my son used to refuse to go to school at the beginning of a new term and have to be forcibly dressed and dragged there screaming!
Got the book for the book club (rather to my surprise as I thought someone else would probably get there first!) and I'm enjoying it more than I'd expected.
Got the shopping, the rubbish, and the kitchen floor done.
Now have just finished lunch and have almost two hours before needing to collect children, so time to get started on the rest of the list.

OK, I am so exhausted I'm probably going to fall asleep during this post. Didn't get enough sleep last night and it's catching up with me!
It's been a good day. DS was absolutely fine at school and did really well, which is a great start to the year, and I'm happy with the way I used my time. Checked out some present ideas for DH & for nephews though in fact haven't ordered anything yet pending further consultation. Caught up on some work stuff and sorted out the thing with AA.
And now, humungously busy day ahead so absolutely must get finished off & get to sleep!

Hi Sarah, looks like you stayed awake long enough to finish your post
What a great start to your school term. Well done to you and to DKids. I hope the rest follows along just as smoothly.
Now on to important stuff. What book are you doing in Book Club. These are important details to reveal as most of us here are avid readers (when we can find the time lol)
I hope you get a good nights rest tonight, great day

Shellie - LOL! Yes, that's definitely the important bit. Because this year is the 100th anniversary of the outbreak of WW1, the book club have picked 'Memoirs of an Infantry Officer' by Siegfried Sassoon. BTW, was it you who was watching 'How I Met Your Mother' or have I misremembered that? If it was you, what did you think of it? (I thought the final series was brilliant - I know the ending wasn't very popular in the US, but I loved it.)
