Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Judy, I was wondering if you had an appropriate 'HUMP DAY' photo you wanted to share
Yesterday was a pretty good FLYing day. WHB mostly done, even MOPPING, and I barely ever do the mopping.(Just need to run a damp cloth over the TV units today). The weather was amazing yesterday too, washing dry with out any problem and just about up to date (and only a few things in the ironing pile to tackle today). We had the visit from the 'Care Package' people and that sounds promising so we are having a visit at DMum's next Thursday. I made a good looking batch of Spag Bol in the Slow Cooker (I say good looking as I didn't eat it but planning to have it today) and Herb Bread for the kids (4). DMum had Can Spaghetti with her herb Bread and I had a protein day. So quite a few things on the go for just 1 meal.
Today we have the shower lady coming at 8am. She's a funny one, some how she has managed to criticize something different each time she has come. 'Dirty' glass kettle, Mould under shower door and cracked tile in kitchen. Waiting to see if she says anything else today. I am not enjoying her visits I must admit, but it's nice for DMum to get showered and feel fresh.
I had a 'grand plan' of going walking outside this morning for the 1st time since last summer, but the weather is nothing like yesterday it's raining, grey cloud in every direction and no sigh of letting up anytime soon, so it's back to the treadmill for me.
Wishing you all a Wonderful Wednesday.
My Anti-Procrastination task (should I choose to accept it) is to finish organizing the sewing cabinet (now DH made the storage shelf in it) and get it moved into the spare room. And even crazier, I might even try to cover the seat of the new bar stool and see how that goes.

Good morning Shellie, Medusa and everyone else to come.
Sorry haven't looked at past posts, hope everyone and theirs are well.
A quick question before I head off to arvo shift, you guys don't need to answer if you don't fee comfortable.
Over a long period I've been reviewing our expenses and working out where we can reduce costs. Wondering if any of you have Private Health Insurance. We have hospital and extra's with BUPA and are paying $153.00 pfn. I'm looking at reducing the cover and cost. My preference would be to cancel hospital and have extra's only as whenever one of us has had to go to hospital we were at emergency and was admitted as a public patient with no dramas. We tend to use the extra's more ie: dental, optometrist etc. I don't know which way to go.
Thanks in advance

Good Morning Shellie, Medusa & those to come,
Shellie - maybe you should put up a sign somewhere - 'Walk a mile in someone's shoes before you pass judgement' or something to that effect. How rude! Although on people like that, it would probably just go over their head.
Medusa I hope you & DD get a good rest today
Sys- we have private health insurance - the top cover for all 4 of us & like you say it's not cheap. I would look at really where you're likely to get the most benefit - atm it's probably in the extras - & weigh up what the consequences might be if/when you need more. I come down on the side of keeping full coverage but I'm biased - my situation for a long time has been vastly different to most peoples, I've seen both sides of the fence. But I really think it's a personal choice, if money is tight & you can't cut anything else in your budget then cut coverage if you think it's right for you. Sometimes you can increase your excess & lower your premiums, depending on your provider too. HTH
We've all been sick this week, so not much FLYing going on here although this morning I managed to shine the sink (didn't do it last night - I had the sweats & shivers & zero energy), DH has S&S'd in the ensuite without me asking, I've washed 2 loads of laundry & had a nice long chat on the phone with a friend who's going through some difficulties & needed an ear. The kids & DH are staying home again today but hopefully they'll all be good to go tomorrow.
Wednesday yesterdays & todays folding PUPA maybe sweep the kitchen maybe some ironing cook dinner before bed routine
my anti-procrastination task will be to confirm an upcoming appointment for DS
Wishing you all a great day x

Yes there are some very naughty pics Shellie!! I can’t believe the cheek of your DMs shower lady!! When we were doing the palliative care for my DMiL here, all the nurses and helpers were all praising us for looking after our DM instead of putting here in a home/hospital and my home is not immaculate by anyones definition!!!!!!! I wanted to do a bit outside too today but DSiL didn’t bring DGD1s outside boots (pretty pink ugg type boots aren’t going to last outside here!!) Sys- we’ve never had hospital cover except when having babies. We belonged to a private group from our church that all put in $ ( a lot less then the health funds) they covered everything but now my DH thinks Health funds “just rip everyone off” So we’ve not had any for about 20 years, We’ve paid for some minor stuff (wisdom teeth, grommets) in day surgery ourselves and anything the kids needed was always in emergency so went straight in, broken bones, stitches, infection in ankle bone etc. We are very fit and healthy and Ive never had surgery but i would like to have cover as we get older (well we are older so i guess now) I did ask DH to talk to tax man this week about health cover when we get the last couple of years taxes done. Do you go to a KYB or BSF Bible study Medusa? I did those for years when I was a SAHM. Elasti- hope you fell 100% better again today! Nothing worse than a house full of sickies. Hope you get extra energy to do that list today. Dr Sarah, thats great that you can save $$ next year with your insurance. I would imagine it would be huge! So, girls, there were some very funny comments yesterday about someone wanting to be me when they grow up. really i make a list and USUALLY i dont do everything on it. Yesterday after work i did nothing but sit on the couch. DH cooked dinner and even brought it to me on the couch!! I also get a lot of help from DH WHO IS STILL ON HOLIDAYS!! Today is a DGD day so i dont have much planned except to do the ironing while she sleeps and Ive started cleaning the outside of my kitchen cabinets
Hope you all have a Great Day and I’ll probably do a TaDa list laster- that should keep me motivated x x

Hi again girls
I just stayed clear of 'shower lady' today and did some ironing. DMum decided to have Weetbix with 1/2 a banana cut up on it, shower lady's duties include fixing breakfast. She asked me for a cutting board to cut up a banana (OMG, my kids didn't need a cutting board when they were 5 to cut a banana) and then she mentioned that in the 'Nursing Home' the kitchen staff cut the banana's not the shower staff. "Suck it up Sweetheart, do your job and stop complaining". She has also been 'banging' on about DMum becoming more independent. Yes, well that's well and good in time, but for now she is paying to have a shower/breakfast service, so "SHUT UP" and just do your job.
Anyway,
SYS, we had 'full' cover having all 3 kids, then DH (whose family NEVER had it) insisted we stop it. Never used it except for odd dental and always paid extra for our Obstetrician anyway. I insisted we 'bank' the payments we would have been paying, which he did. We have always had the money in the bank for glasses/dentist/scans etc. And emergencies are free. We do always pay 'Ambulance' and have used it once, it's about $80 a year for whole family, cost of bill for 1 ambulance trip $2,500. So I think we are at least even if not in front for that one.

Hi Girls Today I got a bit done as DGD1 had a good 21/2 hours sleep. I got all the outside of kitchen cabinets cleaned as well as the big appliances. DH called me outside to plant out some annuals. He loves his garden beds and flower boxes with lots of different flowers but i find it a bit overdone. Im trying to get him to put in less (and guess whose the bunny who has to water them all??) i did a load of darks and the lights are on now. I did 20 mis on the treadmill and either tomorrow or Friday ill start doing 30mins (I’m not doing it everyday) So now i have to decide whether to get in the shower and wash and dry my hair and get up at 5.30 to straighten it or get up at 5.00 and wash, dry and straighten it. I’m thinking getting up at anytime that starts with a 5 is going to be as awful as it gets 1/2 hour won’t make any difference. So I found out today that my workplace is For Sale!! I guess Ill just have to see what happens. It would make sense to a buyer to keep the staff that know what their doing, right??? I am more than ready for retirement anyway so Im not stressing. (DH doesn’t quite agree but Ill work on him!! )
Goodnight all! x x
