Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Yesterday was a pretty relaxed day here. DD16 and I went for a morning walk while DH got his car looked at. DH day off and 1st day of school hols. DD16 went shopping with a GF. DH and I did some errands then had lunch at the pub.
Today I need to go to DMum's, then playing it by ear what happens the rest of the day.
Wishing you all a Terrific Tuesday xoxo

Good Morning Shellie, Medusa & those to come,
It sounds like you had a good relaxing day yesterday Shellie
Medusa It's good to see that DD is feeling better
DH got some quotes about fixing the wall oven - we're looking at at least $300-400 & that's only if it's something simple, like a new element. And that doesn't guarantee it'll last a long time. So we're still deciding what's the best option.
Today I want to do a good PUPA & get into the zone. And there's the never-ending Mt Paperpile. I'm not stressing too much with the kids home, so what will be, will be.
Wishing you all a happy day

We had to change the element in our recently. DH just asked a lot of questions at the electrical shop. Cost under $100 to do it ourselves (but that depends on the brand). Now the oven light has gone out, so I will need to send him back to the store (eventually)

Shellie - is yours a wall oven or free-standing?
We're still looking into options, DH is pretty keen to just get a new one - he's really unsure about doing anything electrical himself - like does it void any insurance if the house burns down because of the dodgy home fixer upper?? that type of thing. plus he's found a 'self cleaning' one apparently I'd like to see that lol

I have heard self cleaning ovens can have shorter life spans, as the self cleaning is the oven superheating itself

Ours is a free standing. I don't know that they are difficult as such. Seems like a 'plug', take old element out, put new one in'. But you should talk to electrical shop for better info. I do agree that sometimes new is better than spending money on old.

Hi Everyone I found it difficult to get out of bed this morning so no early post, We were also busy at work. My boss, the owner of our centre, retired today and we had an afternoon tea with all the staff. When I got home I did some weeding. DH had the day off (he worked the weekend) and had poisoned the driveway, whipper snipped and mown everything so it all looks great. I wanted him to get me a weeping cherry a couple of weeks ago and today he went to get 2 and come back with 4!? So now I have to tell him where to plant them all. He got them at a good price so had to get all remaining stock!?! He also did a load of dark washing so ill add that to the folding pile and do that tonight after Ive done my 30mins on the treadmill Don’t know if Ill have DGD1 tomorrow as she and DD are both sick. They’ve both had a lot of colds. flues etc and DGD doesn’t even go to childcare or kinder yet. Anyway i might have her for a few hours to give DD a break.
Hope you all have a Good Night!! x x
edit- I just remembered that this morning DH got a text from his boss asking what time he should come for breakfast. DH had asked him on saturday and completely forgotten- didn’t tell me either- Im so glad i found Flylady and the dishes were all done and the kitchen cleaned up cause i had no time before work today!
