Good morning Elasti and the lovely ladies to come,
Today I have a DS9! I can hardly believe my lovely middle boy is getting so big. We had his birthday dinner last night - a young man of simple pleasures - steak, mashed potato and peas followed by home-made chocolate cake.
Today is getting DS9 and his mate to tennis, DS4 to Preprep, appt for me before work. The work report is coming back to me from Brussels, but the international revising has been a little less efficient, but at least it's not in my inbox yet. After school DD12 has her high school afternoon tea - a chance to get to know some girls in her class for next year. Then DS9 has cricket training - he loves it.
Goals for today - basic routines. As Elasti would say, the rest is gravy.

Good Morning Elasti, Elizabeth and all the Lovely Ladies to come
Yesterday DD20 and I went to a Candle Party. DH drove us over and picked us up. Who knew that a Candle Party could get so wild, lol. It was a fun group. Practicality won over and I bought a Citronella Candle. Because of that purchase I was able to get a 'base' (for want of a better word) which has a battery and a colour-change light. I am planning on getting a cheap bowl vase from 'Reject Shop' or similar to sit on top. As someone who has Anosmia (no sense of smell - something you didn't know about me) I don't appreciate all the Vanilla, Bamboo or Cut Grass scents they had on offer, but the light up vase thing appeals to me. Anyway it was fun, had a good laugh.
Today is DH day off. No major plans. I might go crazy and ask him to lift out the stove so I can clean behind/under it. I just can't manage that one on my own. The fridge is on wheels so I can do that myself. I still haven't decided which room I am heading to next in my 'Spring Fling, pre-Christmas Cleaning', they all need doing but I don't want to start the living areas too early and have to redo them before I decorate..so for now it's just the middles of those areas.
Anyway time to get DD16 and DH out the door for the school drop off. I have banned myself (and DD20) from driving today. It just seems the safest thing, I don't want to go DUI the day after when we were so sensible to have a designated driver yesterday.
Wishing you all a Marvelous Monday and a Wonderful (and Productive) Week ahead.

Hi Everyone Elasti- you go girl! I hope you make the time to watch some TBOX and relax too. Happy Birthday to DS9, Elizabeth. How nice for DD to have an afternoon tea to meet up with next years school mates. I think thats a great thing to do. Shellie-sounds like you had a fun afternoon. I usually have a candle burning on a dining table thats on the way to our bedroom. i dont have to put a light on and it smells and looks nice. I also get to actually use all those candles Ive been given over the years Today I’m home as i swapped with a colleague who has a wedding on Friday. It turned out great for me as DD29 had a training day and needed someone to look after DGD and i overdid it in the garden yesterday afternoon and my pelvis is sore and i can’t pick up anything off the floor and have to ease myself in and out of chairs, toilet etc. Yes Im getting old!! Ive been trying to post this for over an hour. DGD isn’t a happy camper today and my DSiL actually said the TV will be a good helper today! We only let her watch ‘Play School’ normally and now that that is on I can sit and type! Their family all have sore throats so DGD probably has one too. Her nose is a bit runny but she’s had some panadol now and does seem a bit happier. So I dont have much of a list for today and probably should keep it that way DH is on afternoon shift. He’s helping to tile the bathroom where DS20 lives this morning.
MONDAY
Ta Da up, washed and dressed by 7.45, bed made, dw on, dishes washed and coffee made
To Dos
ironing- when DGD is in bed, write out 5 birthday cards- done 2 , address some more Christmas card envelopes -I’ve done 30!
make two zucchini slices- 1 for DD29, empty dw, ring work re new wage agreements, ring DM
water all pot and hanging plants, sweep corners, ceilings and walls in ZONE
dinner, dishes, feed DDog, shine sink, prepare tomorrow’s lunch Watch some TV and get an early night
Gravy
Make an orange cake- we have so many oranges and eggs
Hope you girls all Have a Great Day!! x x

'Cut Grass' scent & 'don't want to go DUI the next day' Ok now that I've snorted my coffee out of my nose, Shellie, you make me laugh!
Happy Birthday to DS, Elizabeth!
Judy - enjoy DGD today
Medusa - of course you can ask! DS has regular MRIs, chest Xrays & blood tests under general anaesthetic to monitor the tumour he had in 2009. And then a follow up with his oncologist. Routine, unless they find something untoward. Fingers crossed, they won't. Enjoy some quiet time while DD is at preschool

Nice to see a lot of posts in here today DGD is being delightful- she has 2 young Austrian girls to charm and she’s doing a great job!! She’s also still sleeping after 2 hours so I got all my ironing done and put away…its been a couple of weeks I watch a couple of episodes of Once Upon A TIme while doing it. Its a show I like that DH isnt interested in I also made a cake and then dropped it putting it on the cooling rack. grrrr oh well I’ve iced the bit that looks ok and the chooks will like the smaller pieces lol- at least i won’t eat too much!!
