Good Morning Lovely Ladies
I've just read facebook and saw about the Storm in Brisbane. Worst in 30yrs they are saying. Elizabeth, are you ok? Anyone else up that way, are you ok? Just heard on the news 100,000 homes without power which dropped to 60,000 still blacked out over night. WOW, I hope you are ok.
Yesterday I got most of WHB done. Cooked an awesome batch of Dukan Friendly Spag Bol (I am finally getting use to the Konjac Noodles), had quite a few calls from DMum and had a shiny sink come bedtime.
Today I want to take the 'coin jar' to the bank and cash it in for Christmas spending. And buy DMum a birthday present. (she will be 85 tomorrow). A quick grocery shop and pick up a part for DMum garage door opener. And finish off kids bathroom/laundry and back entry (WHB). And there is a little ironing.
That's about it for me. Wishing you all a Fabulous Friday and hope you are all safe xoxo

Good morning Shellie and everyone else to come. Hope you slept well.
Yes, hope everyone in and around Brisbane are ok and didn't suffer too much damage. DS22 moved there last Friday, last night he told me he didn't have power, I've sent him a text this morning to see if he's ok and power is back on but haven't heard from him yet . The storm did manage to miss us only some rain.
Well I've been off the radar of late, I just can't seem to make it here on a regular basis.
First of all, to all the birthdays, anniversarys, celebrations, holidays I've missed hope everyone enjoyed themselves. Secondly to any sickies, or difficult times that anyone has gone/going thru wishing speedy recoveries and strength to cope.
DS22 has finally been offered a job after many applications after graduating Uni and started with a bank on Monday down at Brisbane (his preferred choice). So he moved down with a bag of clothes last Friday to stay with some friends until he found a more permanent place. He moved into a more permanent place last night (the night of the storm ), he'll be sharing with 4 others who have already furnished the place, so seems like most of his stuff will stay here atm.
DS18 moved back from Uni last Monday for 3 or so months (seems to be the norm - one comes home and one leaves) anyway I had both boy's home for four days. DS18 moved back with ALL his stuff plus additions he's gathered/won thru out the year ie: bar fridge, skateboard, pool, printer etc and brought them to our 'new' house which has less storage than the last house He's also managed to get his old job back while he's off YAY.
DH is still working from home, which has caused tension between us. He has a lot of work, but as he's doing it all by himself he can't manage to get it all done quick enough therefore cashflow can be an issue. We've discussed if I can spare 3-5hrs per week to help him ontop of me still doing the accounts, I've agreed and hopefully this eases this tension. I've got a week off from the 18th December and he'll show me what I can help him with.
Today I've got arvo shift but before I head off to work I'm catching up with 2 friends who I went to school with in NSW. One lives up here and we always catch up and the other we just recently found out she lives up here.
Anyway sorry for the long post. Off to jump in shower and get ready. Have a great day xxxx

Good Morning Shellie, Systems & those to come,
The storms yesterday hit fast & hard. We got lightning, thunder, rain & wind for about 15 minutes but no problems. I think south side of the river, CBD & then some coastal areas copped it the worst. DH left work in blue skies then literally 3 minutes down the road got caught in hail, but luckily no damage to the car. I hope Elizabeth is ok.
Sys I hope DS22 is okay too.
Shellie did you decide on a present for your DMum? If not, I was going to suggest a flower delivery is always nice.
Yesterday I made some good progress. Today DH has a day off, he's booked someone to come & service the aircon so he's taken both the kids to school & will pick up bread on the way home.
I've done my morning routine, cleared out my purse & changed DD's sheets, the washing's in the dryer (rainy) so I'll fold & iron that when it's done. I think all I want to do today is some more Christmas organising before real panic starts to set in, finish decluttering my craft cupboard, do a little zone cleaning & make some more progress on my paper system. I'm still trying to find an easy method that works for me.
Have a good day everybody

haha does that say by Judy?? Hi Everyone Oh Ive been off the radar and didn’t hear anything about storms. Hope all we know are ok!! Shellie- Ive forgotten about Konjac noodles and haven had them in ages. Hope you find something nice for DM. Enjoy your day at home Elasti! You have done so much already! We have Arch folders for our paperwork. One for bills with a divider for every month. one for correspondence we want to keep and i have one for recipes and knitting patters (there was a time in my life i had time and wasn’t too tired to knit???) SYS- how lovely to hear from you and dont worry about the long post- we want to know whats happening and how you are going. Did your son really bring back a pool or was that to see if we were really reading everything lol?? Today is our 33rd wedding anniversary. DH is working the election and is in charge of a polling centre tomorrow which means he has to set up tonight after work. I was less than pleased but he didn’t know he would be in charge (although i didn’t want him to work there in the first place. I feel we are time poor rather than money poor ATM) Today is my WHB day. If i finish early the DBP want to go to the Yarra Glen Chocolaterie. It would mean 2 buses so i might drive them there and have a coffee- gotta get the kms up on my car right?

Thanks Elasti. Probably shouldn’t have gone to the Chocolaterie on a low calorie day oh well i only had a really small baby sized ice-cream. I forwent my apple and boiled egg so just steamed veggies for dinner and veggie soup for lunch. I still haven’t done any wrapping. Im thinking of getting our DBPs to do some We dont have much more work for girls to do outside. They’ve dug out thistles, weeded garden beds and veggie patches, picked up sticks under the gum trees and swept the porch. Tomorrow Im getting to take everything out of the kitchen cupboards -one cupboard at a time- wipe it out and put everything back neatly Sunday we give them a day off and DH is home Monday to work with them- probably light a bonfire and they can rake leaves and twigs in top paddock to add to fire. If it doesn’t rain!!
Hope you all have a Good Evening!! x x
