Good Morning Girls,
Today I've got a hair/brows appointment booked & I need to go to the shops & ATM. Tonight is DS' school Christmas concert & parent's BBQ. In between those I'll be doing whatever I can to not sweat like a pig/mess my hair up so it stays decent for tonight. haha we'll see how that pans out
I have to laugh at DH - he works in a/c - comes home & after about 1 minute says 'jeez it's so hot, are all the windows open?' In my mind I'm like this -
no dude, I really like a sweat lodge
Have a happy day everybody

Good Morning
Elasti - DHs can be a bit thick sometimes
Yesterday I printed 50 odd photos and added them to the Christmas letters and posted them off, so I am happy.
Today DD has her preschool graduation (who knew it was a thing? LOL) and then back home
Hope everyone has a great day

Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Yesterday I got a call at 8am to say DMum could come home if we had a Oxygen machine. Great!! So hospital organized it to be delivered to my house and then I would transport to DMums. No problem. I dropped DD16 at school, had a quick grocery shop for a few fresh things for DMum then home to wait. So I was 'grounded' at home and got a few things done until it arrived. DH was great (I must admit) and stepped in to do school pick up and dance drop off (Dance friend bought her home). I got half house vacced, much tidying done and 2 loads of washing dry. Then off to the hospital to pick up DMum, and despite me calling 1st to say I was on my way and could the nurse inform DMum, she was still in PJ's, tucked up in bed (for 'rest time') and had not been informed AT ALL during the day that is would definitely be going home. So we then sat around the hospital for 2hrs waiting for discharge papers and take home medication. Honestly the staff was aware since 9am that the Oxygen machine was ordered and I was able to take delivery and yet they couldn't inform the patient. (palm slap)
Anyway I got her home (after a minor[totally in the other direction]detour to my house for DMum's handbag) and I unpacked her, set up the machine and got her settled in. The machine is NOT a tank as I had expected but a smallish unit that makes it's own oxygen. I was impressed as I didn't know they existed. Then home again and cooked dinner which I had mostly pre-prepared thank goodness.
Today is DD16's High School presentation. She will be receiving an award of some kind. They don't like to tell you so you will be surprised. Really can't see the point of that. Only parents of kids who are getting something get invited by letter. For many getting a letter at all (or on time) is the biggest surprise.
The rest of the day I will be sorting through Christmas, finish the last damn tub of decorations. And whatever else comes my way.
Wishing you all a Wonderful Wednesday.
Now I need to go find something decent to wear to pres day. I haven't really bought anything appropriate for these occasions, just casual T's mainly and 3/4 pants. I would prefer to dress more 'business like' for these occasions and not turn up in a T-shirt and thongs (but that's just me, there are plenty that do just wear that)
Yes Medusa, Preschool Grad is a thing. My kids did it 15yrs ago (no cap and gown back then but I have seen photo's that they do that).
Elasti, enjoy the pampering and tonights event

Medusa - Grad sounds very official! A great opportunity for some nice photos, too. Brace yourself - only 13 or so more years to go! Shellie - I feel your pain with the hospital yesterday. It takes so long sometimes to just get out of there. I'm seriously impressed that you got the oxygen so quickly!?! We had to just about sell a kidney to get it for DS here. I'm so glad your Dmum is home & feeling better. This afternoon I'm going to do the folding & ironing, FACE, address some Christmas cards, wrap the little chocolate tins I got for DS' teachers & write their cards for DS to take to school tomorrow.
