Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Elasti, I am so sorry to hear of the loss of you uncle. He is now at peace. I hope today brings lots of fond memories of him for you and your extended family. I always think having a wake is a great way to help everyone move forward with positive memories. And I am so glad your family was able to visit him one last time before he went. That must bring much comfort to his wife. And sorry I didn't comment earlier.
Today is another home day for us. I did manage a little shopping trip yesterday, couldn't resist a bargain. I got to Big W for the 1/2 price Tefal non-stick pans. I wanted to get a small one for DMum and a large one for DS21's Bday present. Also another small one for us (I get mad if someone else uses it for their breakfast and then I have to wash it before I can even make mine, problem solved)
The weather has been rainy the last 2 days, good cool recovery weather, but not good for getting the mountain of washing dry. I have the line completely filled (every line), plus some things hanging in the laundry. I really want to get some good sunlight on there to kill the germs. Plus I have 2 more big loads ready to go and another small one.
I changed all the beds and towels, and washed anything I thought we'd touched while sick. Plus disinfected both bathrooms and kitchen. The dishwasher has been done (but still needs emptying) and the sink is mostly shiny (dish drainer needs unstacking too). Hoping today that DH and DD16 can wake with a little more energy and actually stay out of bed. It would be nice if they could both do something to contribute also, but that might be stretching the recovery a little (for them). DD20 'moved out' during the sickness as she hadn't gone to the In-laws so wasn't exposed. Hoping she still wakes well this morning as we were all here for about 24hrs together. I am going to give all the door handles a wipe with disinfectant before she gets home just in case.
I have also started to dismantle Christmas. Not the tree, I still need a photo of my 3 kids in front of it (just didn't happen on Christmas, too busy, too much coming and going). I will leave it up until photo is taken, it might be March but IT WILL HAPPEN!! I think I will put all the Christmas tubs in the 'spare room' and pack up in there. Once it's all done, they can go back into the top of the pantry. I will try to organize things a little better, we actually found a tub we'd forgotten was in the spare room on the 23rd. And there are a couple of new things to pack away this year too (like the entire lolly bar jars), so might need to reshuffle to fit things in better.
Ok, time to get a move on. Just continuing to take things gently today. Doing small bursts then resting to get it all done. Wishing you all a Marvelous Monday and a Wonderful Week ahead xoxo

Good Morning Everyone
Elasti, I hope that today is comforting for those who mourn. Shellie, you have been very busy
Today would have been my Dad's 60th, so Mum and my immediate family will have a dinner together to commemorate. This morning I need to go buy batteries and bread rolls. Am also hoping to make more headway with geting the house in order
Have a great day

Hi again, all. Elasti, sorry to hear of your loss, and hope today brought back happy memories of him as well as the sad. Same to Medusahair having the memorial dinner. Shellie, hope family is now feeling better & kudos to you for getting so much done! Hope you get that tree photo soon. The Christmas break has really helped refresh me and I've had a constructive few days getting stuff done on my desk and making a start on my tax return. This morning I finally got round to changing the children's bedding, and did enough tidying in their room that it's now only a moderate disaster area. That room desperately needs decluttering in a big way but it'll have to wait a bit. Three days left of this year! I'm off today and tomorrow but working Wednesday, so my plan is: Today: Finish the educational credit I started yesterday, get a good whack of the ironing pile done, go through my work bag looking for a form I need (thought it'd turn up on my desk, but no sign of it) get some work done on my desk and some on my tax return. Tomorrow: Finish the ironing pile, get some more work done on both my desk jobs and my tax return, log into work by remote control to catch up on results/scans/admin bits & pieces so I have less waiting for me on Wednesday. Wednesday: Finish off as much of the work backlog as possible and any ironing I didn't get done Monday or Tuesday so that I'm ready to start the New Year with a nice warm glow of achievement! Of course, that's the plan... now time to see how much of it I actually bring to fruition. A happy end-of-year to all of you!
