Years ago while I was pregnant with No 2, we were renting - no A/C, no pool, no ceiling fans, just a pedestal fan, I was due in April and it was HOT HOT HOT!!!!! To get through the day I would run a cold bath each morning and DS (15mths at the time) and I would 'swim' in the bath several times a day. Then I would lay on the bed (towel over the covers) and wrap a damp towel around me with the fan on and try to nap. It helped.
WARNING!!!!!!
If you are going to leave cold water in the bath with little kids, YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO LOCK THE BATHROOM DOOR SO THEY CAN'T WANDER IN (I know it makes sense and you all know this, but I would hate to have suggested this and then something terrible happen to one of your beautiful children) Please Please Please be careful with kids and water, it only takes a minute and about an inch of water to drown. Drowning is silent.

Hi everyone, I do agree with you all on needing the heat to back off! It's energy-sapping! Although we went to the movies this morning with DH and the kids and that was a welcome air-con relief.
This afternoon a DGf and her daughter are coming for an early tea. Her DD will be I the same year as my DD this year and it will be nice for them to hang out. We don't catch up a lot, but they get along pretty well when they do.
Work tomorrow and I'm making a concerted effort to keep healthy, get strong and lose weight. I went for a 50min walk this morning with DDog which I enjoyed. Once doesn't make a routine, but at least I have proven to myself that it can be done.
Wishing you all a wonderful day!
