Good morning girls, Hi Sarah! Welcome aboard! What part of the States do you come from? (If you don't mind me asking) I'm jumping in early to get a head start on the day Inspired by Judy & Shellie I've been out for a 15 minute walk in the morning for the last few days, yesterday I swept the kitchen & washed the kitchen bin, it was gross. Weeded the garden for 45 minutes & made scrambled eggs for breakfast. DD had a friend over for a sleepover last night so I baked some Anzac biccies. And shined my sink. Today I'm washing the sheets, getting myself organised for the week ahead, dropping DD's friend home (that usually takes ages - the parents are both really 'chatty') & shining the sink before bed. I've been definately NOT FLYing, so I'm going back to babysteps. (again). Not quite how FLYlady sets them out because some things I want prioritised differently. Wishing you all a great Sunday

Good Morning Elasti and all the Lovely Ladies to come
Hi Elasti, great your taking some 'ME' time to go for a walk. That sounds like a fair list to get through on 'Rest Day'.
I had a big day yesterday, got a lot done, but still a lot to do. I got the spare bed made up yesterday. It looks very pretty and comfy. I ended up with a woolrest and a very thick single doona as a 'pillow top' on the mattress. I will put a pic up (in time). DD16 has 'decided' that DS21's now spare hanging space should become her 'Costume Wardrobe'. I suppose it's better than me having a tutu in my wardrobe. I cooked up a bit of a storm last night, Meatloaf with HomeMade BBQ Sauce. Plenty of leftovers for DS21 and DMum, and another meal or 2 for the girls.
I need more focus, and I think I actually need to declutter a bit more to create it. I don't even think it's a 'throw away' issue more of a 'put away' issue. My laundry has been 'less than' FLY since Christmas. It's the dumping ground. There is still a pile of dance costumes from last years concert I haven't washed. They wear them for 5mins, but I still would like them washed. They are the sequenced ones, so I am more nervous about washing them, and god forbid having to sew the sequence back on ( I could do it, I just don't have the time right now) I just need to steel myself and get it done.
I think the only way I'm going to deal with this 'put away' clutter, is start in the laundry and work my way around the entire house, PUPAing as I go. I think that will be the focus for today. This includes all sorts like, the vacuum, the ironing and board, the folding, paper clutter, costumes, etc etc etc. So I'll just hit each item, each room just 1 at a time and see how far I get.
So that's the plan for today, THE REST!!!!! I want to go for a walk. I will get dressed and put a load on before I go. I have a few plants to put in some pots in the back yard. Wash the towels. And PUPA my day away.
Wishing you all a Super Sunday and I hope your having a Wonderful Weekend.

Hi Elasti, Shellie and those to come,
A very late night last night. DCiL was child minding while DH and I went to a show, then I came home and had a long chat with her. Without being 'mother', I'm trying to help her with her uni work. I kind of share my work challenges as well so can say we'll both be 'working' tomorrow to keep it collegial. When things are hard, it's sometimes tough to see the options and she has one really tough subject with a lecturer who might know his stuff, but isn't a great communicator. Anyway, I hope I helped.
Today is a mix of work - I want to get a couple of hours done to move this project along; blessings; and other little jobs. Here's the list so far:
Paid work - 2 hrs minimum
Menu plan (use up freezer and pantry) Grocery list (might not shop til tomorrow unless I need to)
Change things over to new purse (old one falling apart)
Tidy office desk
Help DS8 with homework and readers - due tomorrow Help DS8 with drum practice
Washing Reboots Fold and put aways
Collate bills to pay Check security screen install quote and check they have applied the discount before paying Check 'day file' and clean it out
Follow up holiday options and accommodation - hoping to take my DParents away for a couple of days
Done already: Registered DS3 to play 'Squirts' soccer - so keen to do what the big kids are doing.
That's a good start

This just popped up on facebook. Now I'm trying to work out does it mean:
1. Work like a crazy woman so everything is done ready for the week
or
2. Rest and Renew, so we can handle the coming week

Hi Everyone Elast- you did a lot today! Don't be inspired by me, I walked twice this week. Although I have to say I walked a lot today at DS20sDGFs horse comp. Shellie- I'm going with option 2 I don't think I ever washed the ballet costumes after a concert. I was too scared they'd fall apart and they never wore them in another concert anyway. Elizabeth- your DCiL are lucky to have you as a second mum!. You have quite am impressive list for today. Oh Medusa- I do hope DD recovers very quickly! I did everything on my list for today - no actual housework . We went to the horse show and I did enjoy it. What a lot of hard work for those riders! Today my dw stopped working. DH has had a look at it, but to no avail. He will call our trusty appliance fixer man to see what he can do ( I'm hoping nothing- but of course our hard rubbish was all picked up 6 DAYS ago ) We are just in the process of buying DS27 and his DW a dw for their wedding present. I think just order 2 as ours is about 16 or 17 years old! . They are getting a ss 2 drawer one Tomorrow is an early start for me at work. I have to leave home at 6.15 AM. I've got my lunch and clothes ready but will soon make my smoothie for breakfast and leave it in the fridge- I tried this on Saturday and it was fine. I will also take meat out of the freezer for tomorrow's dinner. After work I want to go for a walk and just do the basics as I have another early start on Tuesday. (Just while colleague is on her honeymoon) anyway I'm off to make smoothie and then straight to bed Sleep Well !! X x
