Good Morning Elasti and all the Lovely Ladies to come
Well, yesterday was an up and down kind of day. DD16 texted several times during the night as they traveled to Tough Trucks. Not really that far away but they went to sleep at the Alpaca Farm but got up at 3am to travel 30mins up the road to join a line of traffic heading to the event. They were in that line about 7hrs , once they got to the gate they lost phone reception (I knew this would happen), it's in the middle of the mountains so no Telstra towers there. Same thing happened when we went skiing at Christmas, the dam is in a Telstra black spot.
Rambling VENT AHEAD - Beware
Anyway between DD16 keeping in touch and DD19 NOT KEEPING IN TOUCH, I had a rough nights sleep. DD19 has now been well instructed NOT TO DO IT AGAIN!!!!
Then it was off to work. Morning went well but then some grumpy customers come in. It would appear I don't convey much authority as several times I went to serve or instruct people (wet weather rules mostly) they either argued the point or said they would check with someone else if that was the right info. Turns out we have at least 1 worker who is not following some protocols, so when I try to enforce them, well then that's a problem. I came home pretty dejected in the end and was a bit grumpy myself. That and DH 'choose' to head to our 2nd shop (on an unscheduled day) to deliver some stock that came in 'just in time'. It kind of took 3+ hrs away from our 'date day' (no kids in the house) and I know that neither the staff (who should have kept a better check on things) and the customers (who could have been more organized when ordering) won't be the least bit grateful. Where I would have been very grateful of an uninterrupted arvo with my hubby.
Vent Over
Anyway when DH finally got home I was still feeling 'grumpy' (and a bit sad) so I told him about it and he was understanding. We had a quick cuppa and then got showered and ready and went out for 'DATE NIGHT' (yeah I know right, what a shock). We went to a lovely seafood place called Scratchley's over looking the Newcastle Harbour. The meal and company were lovely. Came home in the torrential rain and settled in to watch the footy. Can't have a late night Friday as DH gets up so darn early on Saturdays.
So today, I've been up and had a 35min walk, done a 15min Stretch Band and Fit Ball Work out. Made Bed, Washed "Load A Day" (about to go hang - although weather is a bit iffy), had a chat to DMum.
Next up, Hang washing, reboot washing machine. Shower (and clean shower), dressed and ready for a visit from DS21 (gets picked up here for golf still, then drives back with DH). Then whatever else comes my way. I think I'll have DS21, DD19 and her BF (he is still TNB) here for dinner tonight so that will be nice.
Wishing you all a Super Saturday and a Wonderful Weekend.

Hi Everyone Sounds like a lovely place to have a date night Shellie. We love seafood too. Always a worry when our DDs are away, especially when they don't keep in touch. Hope you enjoy your free time Elasti We had a really lovely evening with my DSis and DBiL last night and DSis insisted on helping with dishes as my dishwasher is dead ( it's a bit obvious as its not in its exact spot) Today we were expecting a DF to come with his DD1 on his way to a wedding- his DW was helping with flowers or something. But he hasn't long rang to say he couldn't get hold of the person who picked up his suit. The delay meant he can't come here. I feel like we've wasted our morning a bit but DH has mostly prepared dinner. We are taking dinner to DFs who are having a busy week- new grandchild born and they babysat the toddler and today they are moving their DPs into a nursing home. We asked what we could do to help and they said bring dinner as long as we stayed to eat with them. They are great friends. DH is making a non-vegetarian cannelloni and I'm making a carrot cake. We don't really have plans for our day- was seeing how it went with DF and his DD1, I'm hoping DH will give the lawn ( weeds!) a quick mow otherwise I might. I need to go to local shops and make a carrot cake and I need to water all my pot and hanging plants. Probably should check to see if I need to pay any bills and file paperwork. I'm so pleased I gave the house a really good clean yesterday. I even put some fans away in top of guest room wardrobe- dont expect any over 35 degree days any more. We have an electrician coming Wednesday and I'm hoping he can put a ceiling fan in our bedroom as well as a few other things. Yes our DS27 is an electrician but we have waited so long for him to do some jobs here we are now paying someone else!
Hope you all Enjoy Your Weekend! X x

Hi Shellie, Sharing the cross! Those customers - how rude! And DD19 - you just want her to have a crystal ball and know how it feels to be a Mum and not know where a DD is... (((Hugs)))
Hi Elasti, our DDs are growing up. Mine has a friend over then off to a disco tonight. Hope you have a good day.
Hi Judy, Wow busy times. So much coming and going.
Hi everyone, Loving that soccer was rained out. Walked DDog, then went to breakfast with DDog and the family - so relaxing, DD visited our neighbour to help clean their cupboard and practise her French, I too DSs to swimming then home for lunch and relaxing now. It's awesome!
Tonight I'm taking my laptop to DDs disco and will stay as incognito as possible if it looks a little lacking on the supervision or broad on the age range.
Wishing you all a great day and lovely weekend.

Hi All, Special hugs to Shellie
Today is DMum's birthday and Dnephew's birthday party. We had a good time, DD still has a cough, and I am sick so that part isn't good.
Need to do the ironing today.....

Judy - mmm, I wish I could have some of that cannelloni. Shellie - what a pain for you, but glad you had a good date night in the end! I'm going to post my list for the weekend here and follow it up in Sunday's list when that's up (that way I won't be so far out of sync with you guys!) Finish off the ironingFinish putting the laundry away Catch up on some e-mails Catch up on work stuff - results, incoming and outgoing post, and checking patient list for Monday. Get some more e-learning modules done (four left to go, but one's a doozy of a long one) Tidy my desk Get one more weights session in I'm going to do the e-mails now, then some work stuff. Well, first I'll go hang up the stuff I just ironed because DD is climbing on the sofa and it's going to end up everywhere. Catch you all later!
