Hi Everyone Elasti- good luck grocery shopping with the DCs “I want….” lol. Medusa- hope DD copes ok with her vaccinations! Elizabeth- hope you enjoyed the concert. Its so nice to do those things with the kids on school holidays! Hope all goes well with your boys’s appointments, Jilly. Well we were all sent home at 12.30 - no surgery or drs consulting this afternoon so they closed the centre. I dont really like to see people getting the sack but its a very difficult time for everyone the way things are running at the moment. Just as well my department is pretty much up to date with everything despite 2 colleagues being on holiday. Im thinking of vacuuming my car and maybe bathing the DDog or maybe having an afternoon nap (i did get up at 6.30AM) I haven’t decided yet Tonight Im going to a DFs house to watch some of the series of Pride and Prejudice for our book club discussion next Tuesday- we were allowed to watch or read She’s invited me to eat dinner there and DH is on afternoon shift so I have nothing i have to do
Have a Good Afternoon Ladies! x x

Hi, all! Early morning over here, while I guess you'll all be at dinner time. Hope your days went well - especially the grocery shopping with the kids, Elasti! Definitely rather you than me!
Judy, I noticed you mentioned the dr's surgery - what's your job? I'm a GP in the UK.
Today's a work day for me, the last day this holiday that the kids go into holiday club. So, again, I'll be trying both to take advantage of the extra time to catch up on some backlog (the holiday club ends later than a normal school day would) and to avoid taking too much advantage of it because I need to get out as early as possible so that DS isn't getting bored & acting up at the club. Gearing myself up for another day of FLYing!
Also need to get to the supermarket for some salmon as DH forgot to get it last weekend, so I'm hoping I have time to get that on my way home rather than having to take the children along. Hmmm... & need to empty the compost bag which is getting really full. Oh, goodness, and phone my mother as it's her birthday - definitely mustn't forget that one! OK - if there's more it'll come to me later. Right now, I'll finish breakfast and get on with the day. Keeping fingers crossed that it all goes well.

Hi Drsarah I was a medical receptionist working in Specialists Consulting suites that have a day procedure hospital. I do theatre administration now but the owner- ophthalmologist- has just retired from operating. We do dental surgeries under GA, cataracts and some minor plastics and gyny procedures. We don't yet know if he will keep the business, sell it or close down, but it's been a bit quiet lately and we know 3 girls will have to be let go in May. I don't expect to be one of them but morale is low there atm

Hi All
Because the 4yo check is a "healthy child" check, they take forever & DD had gotten herself worked up about the needles, I got a flu vac right before the needles, but after the healthy child check so DD could see it was okay, but she freaked. Poor child, she is alright now.... thank goodness no more needles until she is 12 (fingers crossed)

Hello Girls, we are home from our appointments! Antony's went well we just need to wait for the results. Joshua was wonderful at his and amused everyone there; he is so much fun! I had to drive through the city and it was madness I don't know how people do it everyday! :-SI am just glad I don't need too. :)How is everyone's day going? Well I am off to cook some dinner and I will catch you all later; love to everyone! oxooxxoxo

Hmmm... can't say I was exactly speedy efficiency personified today, but luckily there wasn't too much for me to do at the care home, so I got things done as well as catching up on some phone calls & half a form. Have also sorted some stuff out of my work inbox that isn't confidential so I can take it home with me & catch up at more leisure. DS had a bit of a tricky day at the holiday club so I'm glad he didn't end up having to stay too late. I've collected him now but DD wanted to stay to the end, so I'm picking her up later on. I'll go empty the compost bag now, then see what else I can do while DD is still at the club (DS is engrossed in his computer!) Let's see - general to-dos are: - Work stuff (results/incoming mail from today, + 1 letter to do)
- Clear out work bag
- Do some decluttering in study
- Get started on another CPD module

Got the compost bag emptied & then exercised (forgot that was on the to-do list as well!) Since getting DD, I've logged back into the work computer and caught up on stuff from today, so I'm feeling pretty good. Let's see - just a few minutes to dinner, so I'll get started on the CPD module.
