Good Morning Lovely Ladies
We have a very cold snap here this weekend. There has been snow fall in the western part of NSW and down in the snow fields, AND YOU CAN FEEL IT BBBRRRRRR!!!!!!!!!
Yesterday I did manage to get heaps of washing done. It wasn't that warm but it was very windy. 3 small loads (start to finish), then towels (still need airing for 10mins in dryer, then DD16 to fold), and a small load to air and fold, then it's all done for well the next few days. The menfolk played golf and then home for dinner. DS21 stayed for dinner and then his GF came to collect him.
DD16 went to a 17th B'day party last night, so of course the birthday girl thought it should be an alcohol party, and the parents allowed it. Those who drank BYO, by the sound of it there were about 4 or 5 who didn't bring and DD16 WAS ONE OF THEM. DD16 is between 12 and 18months younger than some of her classmates, so she just has to understand either go and don't drink or stay home. I just can't help but wonder what these parents are thinking, isn't the legal drinking age 18, and isn't that one of the highlights of turning 18, getting to have your 1st (legal) drink, what's the point if your parents have been providing it since 15 or 16. They are just going to be looking for a new thrill, and goodness knows what out there to try. The other thing that shocked me was the number of smokers. These kids have grown up with full knowledge about smoking, you can't watch TV for an hour without a disgusting smoking ad, but they still do it. I said to DD16 last night, are they trying to be as cool as their 40/50 yr old parents who didn't know any better when they started. Silly kids.
Today DH has work this morning and will be home about lunchtime. Hopefully DD's will be out of bed by that time. I think we will have a BBQ lunch and then Turkey Taco's for dinner. The rest of the day will be following my Daily Routines and making a head start of WHB.
Wishing you all a Super Sunday and I hope your having a Wonderful Weekend.
Elizabeth, Hugh Laurie......He played here in Newcastle (last night I think). DD20 and I tried to win tickets to go. We didn't. There was a TV special (on SBS I like) yesterday arvo of him traveling through the US and researching the history of the Jazz Greats. LOVE HIM. You lucky lucky girl, you totally deserve it.

Hi Jilly, Lovely opening. I hope you have a beautiful day, too.
Hi Shellie, Thanks - the concert was super and I also found the research that would have gone into it extremely interesting. So not ready for those sort of parties, but it sounds like your DD is sensible.
Hi everyone,
A big one today as DH is off overseas for the week tomorrow morning and I'm trying to have my 'weekend', get all those jobs done, and plan for the week so it doesn't all fall apart. Usually when DH travels, the family is fine, but I don't get space for my work. But I have work deadlines this week, so am trying to make everything else run as smoothly as possible. How many consecutive days of tuckshop lunches makes me a bad mother, I wonder? Pity Preprep doesn't have a tuckshop service...
So, today...
Blessings MR PUPA house Declutter toys that need to go to school fete for next weekend - URGENT! Folding (Bless DH - doing the washing) Office rescue - have a 'pile' that needs sorting so I don't get any surprises
Planning Book movie tickets for tonight Menu plan Grocery list Plan week for kids' activities and work time (Asking DGrandad to help on the mornings that the kids get dropped off at 3 different times - DD often 7am, on Monday DS8 is 7.45am, then DS4 is 8.30am; check with DCiL if she wants to come over nights if I have a later pick up for a child, so I can leave the others at home.) Tel DGf to confirm she's visiting for dinner Monday
Work Prepare work due tomorrow for Tuesday's meeting Do time sheets to date
Errands Grocery shop for the week
Appointments 10.30am DPGs to lunch (DDad's birthday was last Friday) 5pm Dinner and a movie with DCiL

Hi Jilly, Shellie and Elizabeth
Another busy weekend. Yesterday DH took DD to the movies, then we signed our will & other legal paperwork & then DD went to my mum's for a sleep over so DH and I could have some time together as we are celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary on Monday. Today we got to sleep in, then pick up DD, now I am working on grocery shopping list & housework.
I agree with you Shellie, it has been quite cold this weekend

Hi Everyone Hope you all had a great weekend. Weather here was terrible today, it's rained off and on all day. DH spent 6 hours splitting and transporting (green) wood to a wood shed at far end of our property. I went to church, did a small grocery shop, did my load a day, made chicken stock for freezer and some chicken soup. I finished my book club book and painted my nails, so a nice relaxing afternoon by the fire for me. I did feel a little guilty every time I put a log on the fire lol. We were supposed to go out with friends but they called in sick at 5.30pm so we still went to the restaurant as we'd made the booking. DH is on night shift all this week, so I'm alone all night, every night from 10.45pm til 7.15am for the next 7 nights.
Goodnight x x

Hi, all!
Doing well here - been catching up on work stuff & have finally got a complicated referral letter done that has been hanging over me, as well as catching up on a few other letters and the results and incoming mail. Still have a couple of referrals to do which I'm hoping to get done tomorrow as it will mean I can be caught up on outgoing mail by the end of the Bank Holiday weekend, but we'll see how it goes - at any rate, it makes me feel much better to have done as much as I have. Got a couple of CPD modules finished as well (one that was partly done, one that I've done from scratch), so feeling good generally.
Need to do my weights routine tonight, and I'm also hoping to get some writing done, so I'll start on that now & try for the weights routine after kids are in bed. See you all!
