Good morning Jilly and everyone else to come, hope we slept well.
Sorry this post's all about me Hope everyone and theirs are happy, healthy and safe.
Latest update on our move:
We've found a house and are going to sign the lease on Monday Yay!!! NO MORE REALESTATE.COM.AU!!!
This past week we viewed another 5 properties, (all up we've viewed or driven past 20 properties) we emailed applications for 2 of them before viewing and were pre-approved for both
Wednesday we decided on the 1 we want, a house fairly similar to our current one and still in our area, so we're happy with that. We have been spoiled in our current place with no rent increase in 5 years so it was a bit of a shock out in the 'real' world.
So the plan is to do the BIG move on 7th June. In the meantime bring whatever we can or don't need in the next 3 weeks by car.
Arvo shift this weekend so before work, - packing, packing, packing, online grocery order and of course basic daily functions.
Hope to catch up soon. Have a great weekend!!

Hi Jilly, Great to 'see' you and hope your computer is fixed. Wishing you a wonderful day with Joshua - hope he has a ball.
Hi Sys, Congratulations on the house! So pleased you found one and am so looking forward to reading your plans and progress when you more in.
Hi Medusa, Enjoy Godzilla. Child free time is precious especially when they are being cared for by a loving relative.
Hi everyone,Today is my day to rest and regroup. It has been a huge week. I worked almost full-time on this project and am loving it! If it weren't over soon, I would have to consider a bit more balance, but it's great at the moment and has potential to get me more work. I will need to look at my schedule for next week to see how the kids are travelling and everyone is still getting dinner every night. Hopefully it will just mean that they appreciate what I do a little more… dreaming...Tribute to Elasti

Good morning Jilly, Systems, Medusa & those to come, Jilly enjoy your day out Sys congratulations on finding a house! Good luck & keep us posted Medusa the figurine you made was great! Very clever! Enjoy the movie today well yesterday was completely unplanned - I mentioned in passing a couple of days ago to DH that I would like a small bookcase for our bedroom, (we don't have any bookcases at all in our house) and yesterday he was talking about possibly making one from some spare timber he has stashed away, but it turned out none of the lengths were the same size or width so we looked online & he looked at three 2nd hand shops (everything was really pricey & would still need repairs). We decided on a small one at Officeworks for $50. So we bought & assembled it & there's still some shelf space left in it plus I have room on the top to put pretty things! (I know it's more dusting & a potential hotspot hazard but I'm taking the risk) :PAND we decluttered 2 huge boxes from our wardrobe & we're donating about 20 books. And for bonus points I vacuumed the bedroom when we finished. DH's old photo albums that were in the boxes too, I've decided to pull out all the photos (he can cull some duplicates/photos he doesn't want), ditch the old albums & I'll scrapbook them into new (acid free) albums. (Well I'll add that to my projects-to-get-to list) Well that was wordy...today I have a mountain of folding & ironing to get to because of yesterday's sidetracking & I need to make a plan for next week, I want to do a bit more in the ACTUAL zone & continue with the filing cabinet adventure that is taking on a life of its own. Can we say sidetracked much?! lol wishing you all a great day

Hi Elizabeth you snuck in and posted while I was writing my essay Can you share the not-roast-lamb-roast please? (I microwave my corned beef & it's delicious but nobody believes it until they see it & eat it) Enjoy your day & thank you for the tribute x

Good Morning Lovely Ladies
So very nice to 'see' you all, and with plans too. Jilly, I hope your day turns out great and Josh has a fab time, I hope you have taken your ear plugs. Medusa, enjoy your movie, it sounds like something DH would drag me too, last time it was Plant of the Apes And SYS, long lost SYS, I am so happy you have found a place in your own neighbour hood, I know that's what you really wanted, so if your not going to move into my street, then I guess renting in your current neighbourhood is a good 2nd choice , 'enjoy the packing'
This weekend my menfolk are away on yet another golfing weekend (they tell me it's only every 9months but it seems to roll around much quicker) and DD's and I are enjoying the quiet weekend. Yesterday after drop off, DD20 and I went for a quick shop, I picked up 2 new pairs of jeans in my current size only $8 a pr so I can feel guilt free when I grown out of them and then a quick grocery shop. DD16 had dance rehearsal in the evening but one of the other families picked her up and dropped her off, YAY!!!!!!. I cooked Dukan Pizza's for dinner, so yummy, so filling and great that DD's were happy to eat them too and not want their own version made, good girls. We watched GLEE (our fav show) and then watched Rocky Horror Picture Show which DD16 had never seen. In bed by 11.30 and got 7, yes 7 uninterrupted hours of sleep, AMAZING.
Today will be a home day, Daily Routines and general fluttering about. DD20 has a 21st to go to at lunchtime and DD16 is having a 'gentleman caller" , I guess that time has come. So I'm a bit of a helicopter parent today (just hovering about )
Ok, time to jump on that dreaded treadmill and burn some fat. Wishing you all a Super Saturday and a Wonderful Weekend xoxo

Hi Everyone I actually love reading all your ‘essays’ and hearing what you are all up to Jilly- have fun at the car races today. A lifetime ago I used to go with DH quite often. So good to hear all is going well Sys! I did LOL at Shellies comment about ‘2nd choice’ Enjoy the movie Medusa. We have a $50 gold class voucher from DHs last birthday and its his birthday again on Tues Elizabeth- you are doing such a great job with working and your busy family. Get some ‘Elizabeth’ time over the weekend!! Elasti- isn’t it a great feeling to empty boxes and declutter and set up a nice bookshelf. I have to admit Im not getting much done in the ZONES either WTG Shellie on buying smaller jeans! Whoohoo. Enjoy your quiet weekend without the boys. I have that next weekend and DH won’t be home until the Monday afternoon. After this crazy, busy weekend Im so looking forward to it Sorry for not dropping in here the last couple of days. Its been so busy here. Thursday, I came home from work, got changed and went straight out to dinner with DHs siblings Yesterday we had another busy day. We went to a DFs dads funeral and then to Anaconda- we are starting to prepare for our Big Trip. I had to pick up my rings from the jeweler that I had resized and soldered together- they look great! Then DH tells me he always planned to do the Bike riding shopping at Aldi yesterday (which he didn’t tell me)- he is the cook for about 35 guys motorbiking weekend- and at the centre we bumped into friends and had a coffee with them. When we finally got home i had to prepare a dinner for the friends we are traveling with as we had another planning night. I went to bed as soon as they were in their car!! Today our DSoniL is having his 40th birthday celebrations- yes he is 12 !/2 years younger than me and 10 1/2 years older than DD29. He is having an ‘open house’ at a boutique brewery nearby 3pm - 9pm. We will go early and if DGD1 starts to be a pain I will take her back to their place and put her to bed Tomorrow we are having the kids over for dinner for DHs birthday. today.. empty dw, clear sink, wash a few dishes, folding, wrap DSiL present, write in card, make soup for tomorrows lunch, shower, wash, dry & straighten hair, dress, vacuum, dust, mop? get changed and do make up and be ready to leave by 2.40pm I probably should see what sort of cake Ill make for tomorrow and make sure i have ingredients Its a lovely mild sunny day here today so that is a big bonus!
Have a Great Day Everyone!! x x
