Good Morning Lovely Ladies
So glad you started us off so early Jilly as I was awake an a ridiculous hour, 5.30am. Got to say good bye to DH as he left for work. I decided to stay up after he left as DD16 has early class this morning then DMum has a Dr Apptmt today, so I will try to get my walk in before school drop off. It's cool this morning so a walk will warm me up if I can unwrap myself from my chair.
Yes Jilly, I am back to walking on the treadmill, FINALLY. I am so happy my foot is holding up quite well and I noticed it wasn't even hurting while I did my 45mins yesterday, still a bit tender when I'm not in my proper walking shoes. Still trying to find a pair of Orthotics that look like Cute Flats and not Nana Shoes just for wearing all day in the house. I really must cut the extra Orthotic innersoles down to fit into my flats. I have some shoes that DD16 gave me at Christmas that feel comfortable and have a good cushion but all the rest of my shoes it's like walking on concrete. Flats are as bad for the feet as high heels.
So yesterday I had a great FLYing day and a good Diet/Exercise Day. In fact I feel I've had a great FLYing week and a Great Diet/Exercise week. Light bulb moment, maybe I have finally found that illusive BALANCE I have been searching for. And all it took was DS21 to move out, DH to go away for 3 days, having a week off going to work, losing about 15kgs, and flapping my wings really fast for a week to get the house back to ship-shape. SO for now, right now, I am going to enjoy the BALANCE as who knows when it will all fall apart again.
Ok, so time to get moving and take advantage of this early start. Wishing you all a Fabulous Friday and a Wonderful Weekend ahead.

Hi Everyone Jilly- good idea to have Joshua go to your DMs so you can enjoy the fair. You are doing great Shellie-yes all it would take is for us to live alone to have the cleanest & tidiest house but then we’d be lonely & bored So a balance is needed in every aspect of life. Medusa- hope your DFiL reaction calms down and that he is able to be comfortable. Sorry I didn’t post yesterday but it was a long day at work yesterday and then a fun night at book club last evening. Its a cool. rainy day here today. DH had an early start so will be home just after lunch and then he is away with the boys for a long weekend coming home late Monday. Its a dirt motorbike weekend. It started out with his DMates when their sons got old enough of join them. The sons call it The Young and the Old weekend. The fathers call it The Young and the Bold weekend Anyway now its a big fundraiser, raising money for an orphanage in Uganda with DH cooking for about 33 guys. So some of the wives are doing lunch today. When the cats away… DSil is going to Uganda for work today so i am looking after DGD1 while DD29 works her 14 hour night shift and while she sleeps a few hours tomorrow. Im hoping while I am out for lunch to sneak into the shops as I saw a jumper in a shop window i like- DH was in too much of a rush to let me go in last week I also need to cook a dinner that DGD likes and have an early dinner. On Tuesday she was standing at the high chair saying “dinner” before Id even started preparing it So..
FRIDAY
Ta Das made bed, work clothes on to wash, filled sink and made coffe
To Dos
wash a few plastics, empty dw, WHB-dust, vacuum & mop the whole house Go to lunch (and shops) pick up DGD1 or she’ll be dropped off here
Make DGDs favorite meal (zucchini slice) and freeze L/Os for next time ZONE- sweep corners, ceilings, door & window frames, damp wipe skirting boards and tidy & dust all flat surfaces in main bedroom Finish folding wednesdays washing dinner, feed dog, dishes, shine sink read DGD1 story, bottle and bed read my book (have to return it) and KNIT (need to finish before she out grows it!!) Watch TV, video whatever have an early night as DGD wakes early!
Have a Great Friday!! x x

Hi everyone,
Heigh ho for me again - it's a great project and I'm learning so much - feeling very blessed!
I had an epiphany this morning - it's not about set routines or being tidy or not - it's about those routines keeping up and adapting to the other things in life. With much more work, I've felt the lag (i.e. house disintegrating and kids getting manic), but am putting some new things in place. Load a day overnight wasn't working because I was too rushed to hang out most mornings and when I did, it made me later than I wanted to be. So I'm thinking that I'll do a load a day each morning - hang out mid-morning if I'm working from home or delay the load to have it finish when I get home, so I can hang it inside instead or use the dryer (occasionally). Yesterday I even had dinner in the slow cooker before I left and it worked a treat.
This morning I am doing blessings, phone calls, PT with DGf, packing kids to go away for the weekend (they are going with DH and I'm staying back to do a course tomorrow morning and get myself sorted), work from home, work meetings from 3pm in town. I must admit I'm liking this working girl thing atm and am trying to streamline my 'blessings' so that the time the kids are home can be 'kid-time'.
Might pop over to 3s for some momentum.
Wishing you all a great day!
Thoughts and prayer to your DFiL and family, Medusa - so very, very tough.

Hi Again,
Elizabeth, for years when the kids were little, I would often hang a line full of clothes out after they went to bed (I guess me being a night owl came in handy), then bring them in the next day. Bring them in takes less time when you are on the run during the day. I know there were times they got damp over night (I'd remember that my DNana would leave things out overnight 'because the dew helped remove the stains') or they'd even get rained on (extra rinse cycle). But at least they were washed and on the line. Just a thought.
So glad you are enjoying your work, much worse if you hated it and still had to do it. Have a great day hun.

Thanks Shellie, Always so helpful to know how others do it in the 'real world'. There's a lot of pressure I feel to be the super mum and a lot of guilt when I don't measure up - so I'm doing my routines and keeping things going - it's almost so no-one here complains that I'm working (because I really enjoy it!) It's odd and I'm hoping things will settle down a little soon. But thanks for the washing tip.

I agree with Shellie - you are a fabulous mum Elizabeth And I also hang up my laundry in the evening if I have a load to do. They are nice and dry in the afternoon the next day
