Good Morning all, long day at the hospital with DS yesterday but chest X-ray, blood tests & MRI all clear, so that's good, but we're both exhausted. Today off the top of my head I have washing & ironing (today's + yesterday's), I need to check my banking & fill out some papers for DS' school. Not sure what else, I'll see how I go. Wishing you all a great day dear FLYsistas

Good Morning Elasti and all the other Lovely Ladies to come
That sounds like a long exhausting day for both of you yesterday Elasti, I hope you take some time today to do something you both enjoy.
Yesterday I did achieve but not all I had hoped for, just ran out of steam.
I got a solid 7hrs sleep last night so today I need to do whole WHB and get that folding and ironing back up to date.
Wishing you all a Terrific Thursday (the weekend is coming)

Hi Elizabeth, its great that you are enjoying your work! We used to have to flea bomb our house occasionally. But you do have to leave the house for a couple of hours. I use Revolution on my dog. One a month you put it ( a liquid) on the back of her neck - where she can't lick it. To be honest I don't do it one a month - just if I see her scratching. Have a good one! X

Day just beginning for me, and lots to do so time to make another list:
Empty dishwasher Dry the load of laundry I washed last night Change/wash/dry towels Catch up on work stuff - letters, results, scans, tasks, going over patient list for tomorrow 1 or 2 educational modules Do boring horrible form about pensions Catch up on accounts Get kids out for a walk Get dinner on at a decent hour And a couple of optional extras: Write post to mailing list that I've put off for weeks, and do some other writing. (Might do some of those anyway, just to break the rest up a bit.)
Hope you've all had productive days, and glad to hear your DS's tests were OK, Elasti-Girl - hope he's OK as well.

Aaaaaand, inevitably, there are yet more...
Put away two loads of laundry from yesterday, plus sheets when they're dry Get some ironing done Do something about sorting out the unutterable chaos that is the children's room
Oh, well, have made a start: Dishwasher emptied. One lot of laundry put away (the smaller lot, but who's counting). Laundry from last night sorted into low heat, high heat and hang up to dry, and the high heat lot in. (Can't yet finish hanging up the hang-up stuff as sheets still on the clothes horses & not quite dry - they're pretty close so I'm going to give them more time.) Towels changed and in the wash.
Will now go & brush DD's hair, & next job on the agenda will be catching up on work stuff.

Hi Girls Looks like you are on to a great start DrSarah. Good to see you again. Medusa, I need to sew something today too but I'm pretty useless at it. You are a very crafty person lol Ive had an enjoyable day at home, even done most of my ZONE work- just need to do the windows. I cooked a lovely beef stroganoff and set the table nicely with wine glasses. Surely DH can see its much better for me to work only 2 days a week!! DH is on the phone to the internet people again and when he's done ill attempt the sewing as it's too noisy. Tomorrow DD29 wants to go shopping with me so I plan to get an early start and get stuck into my WHB. Then she and DS20 and his DGF are coming for dinner Goodnight All ! X x

Update so far:
Decided I'd break it up a bit by interspersing the jobs I needed to do with some stuff I want to do, but stuff that would actually make me feel I'd accomplished something, not just disappearing into the Black Hole of Internet Browsing. So after brushing DD's hair I spent a few minutes working on the e-mail to the book group, and I did feel a lot better for doing that. Then a parcel arrived, so, since I had to take that upstairs anyway, I put away some of the children's laundry while I was there. After that I felt fortified enough to start on work stuff, so I did that until it was time to get the kids' lunch, with some reloading of the dryer interspersed in there. Then I did exercises (another thing I'd left off the list), put away my own laundry (it was really nagging at me and took a grand total of 8 minutes to get done and ticked off my list!) and had my own lunch.
That's where I am now, and it's after 2 pm. Annoyed that there's so much still to do as compared to the time available to do it in, but at least I've got the satisfaction of feeling that I used the time as best as I could. If there isn't enough time to do everything then there isn't enough time, and that's that.
Now time to finish off work stuff & then drag kids out of the house so they don't spend the entire day on the computer. Hopefully back later with more updates...

...ooops, forgot to reboot the laundry so that towels can be drying while I'm doing other stuff. First lot of towels now in the dryer and I've put away the rest of the children's laundry for good measure. Now I'm going to do work stuff & then take the kids for a walk.
Thanks, Medusa & Judy (sorry, hadn't refreshed the page when I posted before & just saw your posts) and glad to hear you guys got stuff done that you needed to do! Good feeling, isn't it? Hope you & DH enjoyed the stroganoff, Judy!

Back from the walk, second lot of towels in the dryer, work stuff finished (I'll log on later if I have time to look for any stuff that comes up between now and the end of the day, as it'll save time tomorrow, but finished everything that's on the system currently). Pleased with myself, but having trouble summoning up energy for the next bit!
OK... will go and make packed lunch for tomorrow before I forget (feels good not to have to do them for the children as well! One benefit of half-term), put away the last of the laundry, and see if I can do something about the children's room. Like detonate a bomb in it, which would probably improve matters right now. Anyway, that'll get me started up again.
