Good Morning Lovely Ladies
I had a little sleep in, that's different. Not behind, just surprised I went back to sleep after DH left. It is cold so I figure I just snuggled down and didn't want to face the day. Anyway up now and moving forward.
Home day for me, except for a trip to the hairdressers. Plans for today 'Room by Room' approach with WHB on top. Busy Monday and Tuesday have let a few piles start to grow like the floor of the WIR and our bedroom. So need to get that back to 'ship-shape'. Sun is shining and blue skies, so load a day or 2 or 3 (towels for sure). Need to do a little Dukan Cooking and the treadmill too. See how much I can get done (none yesterday). No after school sport this arvo (love those days).
Well that should keep my busy and off the streets.
Little Rant
[DD16 got mostly good reports/comments from teachers last night, all the things a mum wants to hear, polite, does her best, hands homework in, got one 1st and two 2nds in the class so that's fantastic (but we do have a small school with tiny senior classes) so whether it is reflective of the state average I don't think so. And then we saw the Maths teacher. Well it's she a piece of work. DD16 has really struggled with Maths this year and most of last year really (same teacher both years). Anyway I sat myself down, glanced over report card mark and comments and said "Ok, not good, what are we going to do about this?" to the teacher, And she promptly blames DD16's new (it's been a hot minute - 2weeks) coupling with the boyfriend. Teachers words were "if DD16 would move away from the boy for 5mins, she could as me for help if she doesn't get the work" OMG DD16 has been struggling in her class for 18months and she wants to blame a 2weeks BF/GF thing. So I promptly told her we could hardly blame the last 18months on the last 2 weeks and then said 'what are YOU going to do to help her", are some debate and the maths teacher changing arguments to suit her newly formed point. I requested extra work, extra support for DD16 and that the new BF/GF not be blamed and told her that NO other teacher has an issue. DD16 explained after that the BF is trying to help her understand in class as he is quite good at Maths. Teacher even has a snipe at DS21 as he has been tutoring DD16 (but has inconveniently move out, I mean what the hell?). So anyway that was fun, and poor DD16 has a Maths Test today. Was in tears last night. She really is quite a good student (could put more effort in, but I think she is planning a big effort for year 12 so just pacing herself ) and was really trying to study, but is just so bamboozled and there is so many different types of Maths involved. Anyway we don't hold a lot of hope for todays test.]
