Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Yesterday I took DD16 back to the Dr. Her throat swab has grown nothing (despite it looking so yucky and nasty). Dr says this is a clear indication it is viral and not bacterial. She has now had a blood test for Glandular Fever. The poor kid is just wiped out. No energy, gets knocked up going to the loo and back. Her throat and neck glands are very sore and making eating and swallowing very painful. She looks so sick, black rings under her eyes, red rims around her eyes, blood shot and slightly yellow. She looks constantly tired and washed out despite hours of sleep. Her hunger has returned some and she is starting to request things she fancies, but once she gets them the difficulty eating them can outweigh the desire to eat. She has already lost several kilos. She is also becoming bored. Her attention span is pretty limited right now, can't either settle or stay awake to watch a movie, sick of her bed and bedroom, can't concentrate to read or play a video game, not comfy on the couch. Just generally sick of herself really. And she is so sad that she is missing her holidays and friends. She gets that there are worse things in this world, but right now she is just feeling really sorry for herself. Please let this be a relatively short illness.
Today I need to take DMum to her specialist appointment. Just one of those things you book 3 months in advance with no knowledge of what else will be going on. DD20 will be home to keep DD16 company for the few hours I will be gone.
So other than that, I am still wanting to sew those clothes, do some treadmill time early this morning, and just keep up with Daily Routines. Might go hunt 'Load a Day' now and get that started. Dinner is cooked, Dukan Friendly Beef Nachos (No Corn Chips for me) with shredded salad.
Ok time to get moving. Wishing you all a Terrific Thursday. xoxo
