Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Not a great nights sleep last night. Just kept waking up every hour or so. Don't think it was anything more than being slightly over heated and DH snoring. Not feeling like a ball of energy today.
I took DD16 to the Dr yesterday just as a precaution. Checked there were no Secondary infections or complications arising (there is a long scary list of complications online). So far so good. Her throat has eased to a 'normal sore throat' (in her words) and it looks clear but still quite red. Biggest problem now is the pain under her left rib (from her enlarged Spleen) and her Liver not functioning properly. Dr say this is part of the virus and should return to normal in a few months. We are scheduled for a blood test 3 weeks from now to check levels. He has instructed us both that she is still very sick (although her throat feels better, and not to be mislead by that) and that it will take time to return to normal. He has offered any and all medical paperwork for the school and doesn't expect she will return on 1st day back. He advised me to have a chat to the Principal and work something out, half days, later starts, something. And to expect it to go on through a good part of the term. I know the Principal well and she knows our kids have not been 'slackers' so I can't see a problem. I just don't want DD16 falling behind. Marks from Yr 11 don't count for anything in Yr 12 and the HSC, but knowledge learned this year will be beneficial for next year. I am still wanting her to go to the 'Lion King' excursion on next Wednesday as it's just a day of sitting and even napping on the bus, just don't know how school will feel if she doesn't turn up the day before or the day after.
So today will be some gentle exercise for me. Maybe 30mins Treadmill (and see if I can manage more). I feel more like having a nap than going for a walk. I also want to prep some food, I am feeling some savory mince would be nice in this cold weather.
Ok, time to either get dressed or make another coffee. Wishing you all a Fabulous Friday and a Wonderful Weekend ahead.
