Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Clear blue sky here today, but soooo chilly. Need to get a load on ASAP and then another, they will need all day to dry as there won't be much heat or breeze by the look of it. Also need to tackle rest of WHB, exercise (have missed a few days) and folding/ironing. Anything else will be GRAVY. I'd also like to get the home gym cleaned up, I have vacced it all but to be honest it should have been left outside and power washed with the Karcher. Neighbour had it stored in his shed for any years by the looks. It will also need a spray with WD40 to make it run smoother and quieter. Then I'll be ready to tone and tighten and work on my 'guns' (as DD16 would say).
Yesterday DD16 went to "The Lion King' and said it was amazing. Well actually she 'played it down' when she 1st got home, her thing when she doesn't want us to feel bad for missing out. Anyway it was amazing, they all had a great time and she handled it well.
DD16 had only told 2 friends that she was sick (and sworn them to secrecy - I don't know why), but when she arrived yesterday to the excursion everyone seemed to know, turns out one of her teachers has been told she was sick (probably by the Principal) and then Teacher decided to announced it to DD16's entire class, giving a 5 min tutorial on Glandular Fever and DD16 current 'contagious' status. Not her place to talk about DD16's private medical condition. Teacher is the type to want to be the 1st with the news and always wanting to be the kids 'friend' and always into their 'affairs/relationships' - kind of the last person you want to know anything private. She has really broken teachers 'code of conduct' by doing this, but we can't really do anything. Small school, teacher would only receive a reprimand and then DD16 would be targeted some more and there is not another class or teacher she could have for this subject. So that really spoiled the day for DD16. I've told her to try not to worry as there will be a new 'scandal' for everyone to talk about next week, there always is. Oh and have I mentioned that a boy in Yr11 and a girl in Yr10 have just had their 1st baby!!!! Yep, so there is always some 'scandal' to take the place of the old scandal.
I went to DMums for a few hours yesterday, got her groceries and banking done. Had lunch with her and made her a pot of Pumpkin Soup. She said it turned out a nice batch and she enjoyed it for dinner, perfect for a cold winters night.
Ok, so today DD's and I are all home. It's a mostly assembly day at school today, then sport arvo so DD16 is giving it a miss. She will go tomorrow, but not to class. She has been asked to choreograph a dance routine for the Premiers Sporting Challenge (do you guys do that in your states?) that will be used state wide in the sport teaching program. Pretty exciting for a 16yr old. So she will be doing that Friday, just wish she had more energy. They are wanting to do an instructional video which will then be distributed to all participating schools. So basically DD16 could be teaching thousands of kids a dance routine.
Anyway that's the news. Wishing you all a Terrific Thursday. Happy FLYing. xoxo
