Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Welcome to the Weekend.
I hope we have all had a great FLYing week. And that you have all settled back into School Routines. I hope our Holiday Makers are having/have had a ball, and that you are all traveling safely. Thinking about anyone who had appointments this week and hoping they went well.
As usual the weekend doesn't hold any exciting plans for me personally but the family seen to be busy. DS21 is paint-balling today with his group, DH is working this morning and golfing this arvo, Sunday the menfolk are going to the Football to the 'Rise for Alex' event and are in a 'box' (whatever that means, I have never been to the football), DD20 is going out to dinner on Sunday night with her friends from school and their plus one's, then coming back here after. DD16 has no plans yet, but may come up with something relaxing to do, her GF from down the road may come up for awhile.
Well that's about it for me, Wishing you a Super Saturday and a Wonderful Weekend.

Good morning Shellie! sorry I've been MIA for a few days - busy with DH on his holidays - you know how it goes. We had my DBrother stay overnight Thursday. A hospital appointment with DS on Wednesday (all good there) & all day with him again yesterday at another hospital for a procedure under general anaesthetic. No problems there either. So we're all pretty tired today, been out grocery shopping this morning because the fridge was bare, now for a hopefully quiet, lazy afternoon. (Well that's my plan!) Plus I've got a backlog of washing & a bit of ironing to do this weekend, but I'm not stressing over it. Wishing you all a lovely day

Hi Shellie, At least you're keeping us all going with it being so quiet. I'm patchy with new work routine and still trying to get my head around getting everything done that need to get done. I read the last couple of day's posts and feel so deeply for your DD. What poor judgement from that teacher! I'm still shaking my head… As always, your wise words about a new scandal are so true, just wish DD didn't have to go through it. Unfortunately raising it with the teacher does not solve anything for DD and the teacher's lack of judgement here, but making her aware of the impact of her actions might help others - but sounds like she's none too bright and probably just wouldn't get it. Awesome about the choreography - that's just brilliant! Technology is so powerful now and I think it is a good sign for curriculum when it is authentic with a student leading rather than some out-dated, outmoded irrelevant form being taught by what older people think they 'should' be doing. Snaps for DD!!!
Hi everyone,
Well, I have a ongoing job and am so happy about it. Even the family are just starting to consider that DMum has work that does not revolve around them always (still, almost always…) I have tried to get the on-going work settled into Mondays and Wednesdays when I will go the office and 'be seen' and ready to do other jobs as they arise as well as my on-going projects. I'm hoping that will help work keep thinking that I'm indispensable. I also have some casual work that needs real focus to produce an article before the end of the month.
Home routines are going ok, but aren't so routine - just doing bits as I can. I want to look at that this weekend so I keep on top of things. I'm thinking of starting with the weekly routine and splitting daily tasks e.g. S&S between upstairs and downstairs and checking them the other days.
Big goal is making the office better and I hit that big time last Thursday. Decluttered lots, remade the filing cabinet, compacted the articles I want to make electronic. I also learnt how to partition my external hard-drive because I want to make an archive of work completed so it's not always on my machine as well as run the automatic back up from my computer as I go. I'm thinking 2 copies of most things should be enough so I was planning a data stick for each job (labelled), and the archive on my external hard-drive so I can access it if asked. But, if anyone has computer savvy, please share… Trying to go electronic as possible, so I don't add to the monstrous paper clutter.
This weekend is: - work on the casual job - two goals: 1) make a start and figure out where I'm up to; and 2) make a realistic plan to have the deadline ready for the end of the month
- home in order - two main jobs: 1) get the pool creepy crawly working again; and 2) paint some more of the side fence (hopefully undercoat remaining)
- preparation for a calm next week - 1) menu plan; 2) washing up to date; 3) weekly plan in place for blessing; 4) weekly program in place for family members and what they need for school, preprep and activities; and 5) space in the week for me - am committing to pilates and one PT session.
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Hi Everyone I haven't read any of your posts.Im just posting quickly while we are in phone reception. We are with Optus and it seems there is not much reception here in The Kimberley. Our DFs are with Telstra and they have reception a lot more than us and they do allow us to 'hotspot' but I don't like to do this a lot We are having a lovely time. The Canning Stock Route went really well apart from us needing new shockers for the car. We were lucky that DH realised at the only camp we had company and the others had rubbers that he could cut down to size?! I have no idea lol They also had phone numbers for Repco in Port Hedland and the pilot and for the Aboriginal community where we were going so we could organise for new parts to be delivered there. They were there before us and were the right parts so all was good. We are getting along really well with our friends. We didn't know them that well before hand but are having fun playing cards and games in the evenings and we all seem to want the same thing out of our trip I coped well with the primitive conditions on the Canning. My porta potty and shower all worked well. Washing my hair in a bowl is ok too although it has sometimes been one a week agghh. Anyway it has been up in a piggy tail ( too short to be a pony tail lol) so that is all good too. All our cooking has been in a camp oven on an open fire and DH has even cooked scones and bread to perfection. We have been eating like kings with roasts, stews, BBQs and bacon and eggs and pancake for breakfasts. Hope you are all going well. I hope to be able to read some of your posts a bit later. Miss you all !! X x
