Good Morning to all the Lovely Ladies
Waking up to another shiny sink this morning, it really does make me smile. It gets easier, the less people here to eat, so I also enjoy having a messy kitchen too, it means the crowds all here.
Today is DMum's errand day. I'd like to get a load of whites out before I go. It's a short school day so errand day can be a little rushed.
Got a slightly dramatic phone call from DMum yesterday, all DD20 heard was 'emergency' and 'collapse'. DH and I were our for a walk when she called. The actual story, the washing line collapsed and it was a 'bit' of an emergency. The poor carer was hanging out the washing and it collapsed. Thankfully no damage to life or limb, and no washing got dirty, lol. DH went over and had to replace the rusted bolts that broke, DD20 and I arrived in a separate car just in time to hold things up in the air while he put the new bolts in. (We should replace the others before they do the same thing). Emergency averted. After that we dropped DD20's car in for a service, had a lovely lunch out, quick grocery shop, then DD20 and I went for her annual check up, and all is as it should be.
Ok, time to get on with my busy day. Wishing you all a Terrific Tuesday xoxo
Judy, love the new plant (and the little glimpse into your world)
Elizabeth, glad you are home safe and well, hope DS picks up quickly and he's just worn out from the busy school term

I had a lovely day pottering around at home yesterday and then topped it off by going to DD30s for dinner and DS21 was there too. Today is a work day and then Im going with a DF to see a movie- The 2nd Best Marigold Hotel. I doubt that Ill have anytime to do any FLYing, but must remember to water the veggies in the hot house in between coming home from work and going out again and putting out the rubbish bins when I get home
Hope you all Enjoy Your Day!! x x

Hi Shellie, Glad the emergency collapse was handled with such panache - I love the way you tell the story. I hope you enjoy the errands with DMum.
Hi Judy, Your planter looks gorgeous! Enjoy your movie.
Hi Medusa, Wishing you a good day and hope DH gets some answer and feels better soon.
Hi everyone,
DH is away and I managed to get the kids home last night - it was quite a juggle. I received a new job offer and spent last night emailing to make sure that I do not work more that 4 days a week and that the work can remain flexible. So lucky that yesterday, for example, I just emailed that I was working from home with DS4 having a quiet day and generally I work within school hours on campus then make up my time in the evenings or early in the morning.
Today is morning routine and kids to school, work from home, progress some home jobs in between, check in with DDad (he was going to try to help with school pick ups, but DMum has been unwell and I don't want him leaving her if she needs him), school pick ups if needed, DD's parent teacher interviews, DS4 to soccer practice if DDad can't do it (or perhaps skip it if it just doesn't fit).
Home jobs for today: - make bed/s - load on - reboot washing - fold and put away basket of sheets - fold and put away my clothes - bag DS9's too small clothes to give away and take to boot of car
Dinner - either beef stroganoff and veg or pasta and salad - have ingredients for both and will see how I'm going
Other jobs for today: - complete DS9's high school application forms and email - post club voting form - prepare other club's banking
Needing some confidence today as I negotiate this new job. All positive thoughts gratefully received.

well, it's not early but this is how I look & feel!
Good Morning Girls!
A quick post before I leave to take the kids to school, this morning I've got a quick run to the shops, I completely forgot to buy ingredients yesterday in the groceries for DD's Home Ec recipe. I'm hoping to get some things done at home after that - the house looks like a bombsite. Then I need to pick up DS early for a lunchtime appointment.
I'll pop back in later to read the whole thread properly & hopefully post some progress Have a lovely day all
