Good morning girls! Popping in early because I wanted to say how much I appreciate how you all juggle what needs to be done so very positively and share such support - thank you!
Today is heigh ho, again. Good to be working, but also looking forward to holidays. The kids are tired and I think we all need a break.
Home jobs are just the basics. I'm letting the groceries wind down as we're away the Easter long weekend. Also need to remember Easter and appropriate Easter gifts for the kids and family. Not quite sure why we do gifts at Easter, but I think it started in trying to limit chocolate. Odd how these things happen.
Wishing you all a wonderful day!

Good Morning Elizabeth and those to come
My busy days aren't ending yet..... Today I need to go to the RMS to say we got rid of 2 cars and bought my car, then to the key place to get a spare cut of my new car's key (as there was only one), I have a Drs appointment. Hopefully after that I can get home for a bit before school pick up. After school pick up I have an osteopath appointment
Hope everyone has a great day

Good Morning Elizabeth, Medusa & those to come,Elizabeth - Looking forward to school holidays here too - poor DD's been dragging herself around the last couple of weeks.Medusa - congrats on getting a new car! I hope everything goes well at your appointments too. I'm still alive, lolAlthough not so great, struggling a lot atm with a few issues.I've got my Dparents arriving on Good Friday to stay for 2 weeks - I want to get into organising the kitchen, yesterday I cleanedout the pantry. (so NOT the FLY way, I know, but I'm desperate)Today I'm cleaning out the pots & pans cupboard (things have been falling out when I open the door, so it's time for an intervention) I'll put a time limit on it, I'm pretty burnt outfrom the pantry marathon. Hope to pop back in later to catch up reading your posts

Hi, all! I've been goofing off for the past few days and it's time to get back into the grind, so I'm posting here to motivate myself. Children are on holiday - I'm working tomorrow and Wed & Fri next week, but otherwise I have a bit of time off to get things done! So far today, I've got the kids up, emptied the dishwasher, and unpacked the shopping (which I always get delivered on school holidays rather than drag my two monkeys around the supermarket). To-do list for the rest of the day, in no particular order: - Clear the stairs off
- Book my car service
- Catch up on a few jobs that have accumulated on my desk (filing receipts, answering a letter, stuff like that)
- Doing something towards cleaning out the icky jars that have been languishing next to the sink forever. (Something. As in, if I clean out one jar then that'll count. After all, if I clean out one jar every day I'll end up with them all clean, won't I?)
- Send several e-mails I need to send.
- Go on a bit of a hunt for things that need to be in the bin/in recycling. (This was my daily task from the Organised Housewife on Fri, and I've been working on it in bits and bobs as it's a good one!)
- Get some work done on the stack of e-learning modules I'm meant to be doing for work.
- Log into work to clear the decks from any accumulated bits & bobs before tomorrow
- Make lunches for the three of us
- Packed lunch for myself for work tomorrow (luckily kids have chosen to have hot dinners at the holiday club, so only one packed lunch to do).
- Get children out for a walk
- Do some exercise
- Throw out the cardboard for recycling - a big job this time as husband had various things delivered so lots of cardboard boxes to flatten
- Throw out the stale bread for the birds
- First Day Jobs - this is my name for the list of things I have to do every month (send out invoices & pension payment, order meds, etc.) This year, as part of my drive towards organisation, I drew up a proper list of these things so that I could aim to do them on the first day of every month, which means I know they're getting done. Since I'm working tomorrow and at home today, this time it makes more sense to do them the day before.
Well, that looks like more than enough to be getting on with, so I'd better get on with it! C

Well, here's what I got done:
Clear the stairs off Book my car service Catch up on a few jobs that have accumulated on my desk (filing receipts, answering a letter, stuff like that) Doing something towards cleaning out the icky jars that have been languishing next to the sink forever. (Something. As in, if I clean out one jar then that'll count. After all, if I clean out one jar every day I'll end up with them all clean, won't I?) Send several e-mails I need to send. Get some work done on the stack of e-learning modules I'm meant to be doing for work. Log into work to clear the decks from any accumulated bits & bobs before tomorrow Make lunches for the three of us Packed lunch for myself for work tomorrow Get children out for a walk Do some exercise Throw out the cardboard for recycling - a big job this time as husband had various things delivered so lots of cardboard boxes to flatten Throw out the stale bread for the birds First Day Jobs (except for ordering my prescriptions, which took longer than anticipated because they've finally ditched the old system and I hadn't got round to registering for the new one. I've filled in the form now, so hopefully should be able to do that tonight or tomorrow.)
Also spoke to a potential childminder, which hadn't been on the list & did take up quite a bit of time, so that's something. Oh, well - I'd hoped for less still to do after dinner, but I did as much as I could after making the list. Should have got my act together earlier in the day but no use fretting over that now!
Dinner is cooking & will be ready shortly. Going to do jumps now and aim to do the rest of exercising later, plus logging into work, plus hopefully some of the e-mailing as that really is overdue! Oh, well, will do what I can.

Final update:
Clear the stairs off Book my car service Catch up on a few jobs that have accumulated on my desk (filing receipts, answering a letter, stuff like that) Doing something towards cleaning out the icky jars that have been languishing next to the sink forever. Send several e-mails I need to send. Go on a bit of a hunt for things that need to be in the bin/in recycling. Pity about the e-mails and the e-learning, but... yay! Successful day overall.
Working tomorrow, so will just have to try to find time for the rest. Must get to bed now and hope the kids have settled down enough to let me sleep!
