Good Morning Lovely Ladies
I have a house full of sleeping bodies, BUT I am wide awake. Up and ready to get on with my day but tip toeing around so as not to disturb all the 'sleeping beauties'.
Today I am taking advantage of the sun to get the washing up to date. And I want to reclaim the kitchen, leftovers for dinner last night and I just didn't deal with all the plastic containers they came out of.
DD20 will soon be turning 21. We host large 18ths here, but the 21st are a much more casual affair. She has invited about 20 over in a fortnight and (as DS did) they are planning to use the garage for part of the party. So I've let off some spider/roach bombs down there and it's up to them to clean and tidy it. I've told her that if she can get DH involved, well and good, but I am NOT helping. No one is offering to help clean up the house with their spare time, so why should I take a day to help clean up the shed. I will happily input what needs keeping/throwing and cleaning, but seriously not doing anything else. 3 days ago DD17 offered to help, and happily helped her boyfriend move his bedroom into a converted garage yesterday, but now today she has to 'study' and won't be any help.
And seriously what's with the boyfriends parents. They have a 17yr old, who dates a 17yr old. Who thinks that's a great time to move their kid into a 'bach pad' in the backyard? We don't allow boys in bedrooms here, unless special door open privledges are given for playing computer game attached to that TV, and they want to move them right out of the house and in a 'flat' set up with NO supervision. Asking for trouble and it has be sweating a little. GGRRRR, these people are just becoming more and more annoying with every passing day.
Over this entire weekend, I have catered for entire family, 'made it work' with last minute extra's for dinner and NO ONE has lifted a finger to help. I even washed and hung DD20's sheets before we went to the movies yesterday and she came home and just walked straight past the dry sheets on the line and left them their. I had to remind her, seriously she's 20yrs old. Why to I need to remind her to check her sheets are dry and get them off the line (while I wasn't even home on a day that was threatening to rain).
Anyway the towels I used to defrost the freezer just finished so I am going to hang them out and get another load under way. Then I'll tackle that kitchen.
Wishing you all a Marvelous Monday and I hope you are all safe and enjoying the Easter Weekend.
