Hi everyone,
I read back over the posts I missed during the week and smiled when Shellie said she had missed a day - I think I missed several!
Yesterday was my job interview. I think it went well but won't hear officially until next week. It's for a big project so exciting if I get it but if I don't, I figure it's God telling me I have enough on my plate.
So proud of your DD Medusa giving away toys. Hope speech therapy went well. My middle DS did quite a bit and it helped, but was perhaps surprisingly hard work for him. I really liked the therapist who brought his skills up to age appropriate then stopped and said to consolidate what he had learnt, so we can check back in if/when needed rather than have to keep the intensity going. Anyway, hope it works well for her.
Busy work week for me, but really good that the kids are on school hols and DH has been able to stay home and look after the kids for a few days. I also think that it's really good that he gets those special times with the kids as well - he took them to the museum to see a dinosaur exhibition yesterday and played board games in the afternoon.
Today DS9 has a friend over this morning until just after lunch then we have visitors from Tasmania for the afternoon and dinner. 3/4 visitors are vegetarian so I'm doing a fried rice, pear and haloumi salad, green salad, and grilled marinated tofu/ grilled maple chicken for the protein. I will do the tofu in a pan because I suspect our BBQ is about as meaty as it gets! DH will probably do a cake for dessert.
Tomorrow is DS4's birthday - I will have no more 4-year-old! Yes - DS4 is Medusa's DD's twin! We are having a family day tomorrow, although DS4 still wants party bags, but a big family hullabaloo next week (19 of us) and I think I will do the fire engine cake then. Tomorrow we're planning cafe breakfast, picnic lunch, and slow cooker roast lamb and veg for dinner with Grandma and Grandad (my DMum and DDad). Today is shopping for today and tomorrow, wrapping, house tidy, and a couple of hours work somewhere in between.
Wishing you all a lovely weekend!
