Hi everyone,
It's Saturday!!!
Today is DS5 off to friend's party, then I will pick up DS9 whose play yesterday afternoon turned into a sleepover, then it's making a fire engine cake for DS5 in preparation for the Hullabaloo this afternoon (19 people - DH's family including DNiblings - THANKS JUDY for DS5's birthday celebration).
The Hullabaloo is cold cuts and salad. I will make a green salad, fancy salad and potato salad if I get time as well as the cake. Others are bringing fruit, drinks and nibbles. Looking forward to seeing everyone and hoping to have most of the prep done so I can enjoy a glass of wine and relax.
Tomorrow, I will need to work in the morning then have a club AGM in the afternoon. Back to school for the boys Monday and am wondering if I will be able to fit in haircuts for them today?
Wishing you all a terrific day.

Good Morning Elizabeth and all the Lovely Ladies to come
Yesterday DD's and I took DMum out for a pub lunch. Really nice food and had some fun. We get a little silly and had a good laugh. Kind of Birthday/School Holiday/Girls Day/Nana-needs-an-outing type lunch. Then DD's and I called at small shopping mall, I paid DMum's bills, lay-byed her a handbag for mother day and swapped my new shawl for a different colour (womans prerogative to change her mind) then home.
Elizabeth, your having a 'hullabuloo', we're having a 'shindig', lol. DD's 21st with her friends. Casual affair (not the over-the-top, everyone we've ever met event that we have for 18th's), sausages and kebabs, salad, plastic plates, bought desserts and 'Beer Pong' for party games. I guess your probably sticking with the traditional and age appropriate pin the tail on the donkey, lol.
House is clean and tidy, DD and TNB (the nice boy, the BF) are out doing the last minute shopping (desserts and bread), I have done a small load of darks and have another load almost finished. Dishwasher almost finished ready to empty. Kebabs defrosting on the bench, salads are in bags so tip and serve, back log of folding done, sewing machine away, fat clothes bagged up and spare room tidy ready for sleep over guest. Back tables washed. Bathroom, Family room and Kitchen clean. Need some hands to get table tennis table out of house and into garage. And making a potato bake this arvo. Today DD17 had gone to work to help out DH (left at 5.30am).
Ok, next load is finished. Wishing you all a Wonderful Weekend xoxo

Ok - the party update ...
20minutes before guests arrive almighty scream. Find DD12 on floor of bedroom, blood flowing down her face dripping on the floor. Off to emergency with a diagnosis of 'gaping laceration' to skull bone on her forehead very close to the hairline. Stitches - 2 internal and 4 on top. Feeling blessed we have medical care so close. Also that any scar will be well hidden. Get back and family here and I'm rushing to get cake iced and salads made. DSiLs helping. DFiL very useful too.
But wait.... There's more ....
Another yell and DS5, our birthday boy is crying and coughing. Says he's swallowed something not food, small and silver. So back to emergency... To make sure it wasn't a battery (not likely but really scary), X-ray, something metal, round and loopy. Dr was lovely and left DS5 with strict instructions to go eat lots of cake.
So DS5 has had cake for dinner; DNibblings tidied up, and it is, I'm told to be remembered as a most unusual birthday. Exhausted now, but very blessed that all will be well.
But the best part in terms of making a good story was that poor DD did her head during cleaning - such a good girl! She was cleaning her blind standing on her desk and didn't measure the distance to the fan as she jumped down.
I'm kind of proud, it's a 'cleaning injury'!?!
