Hi everyone,
Thanks for sharing and your good humour about my event-filled weekend. You're right, Judy - the kitchen was beautifully clean when we got home - great, even if not part of the plan!? I hope everyone had a good weekend.
Today is Heigh Ho as Shellie would put it. I'm leaving early. DD12 isn't back at school until Tuesday; DS9 is getting a lift to tennis before school with DFriends; DH will take DS5. An early start is great when I have an early finish - appt at 2pm, pick up boys at 3pm, teaching at 4pm, DD's music lesson is scheduled for after dinner but I'm not sure she'll be up for it - poor love, her face is bruised - not dramatically enough to get much sympathy but hurts at every facial expression. Hopefully tomorrow will see a good improvement.
Home is better. We're moving a whole lot out - books and toys to the school fete stall, a few bags of clothes. I need to keep going - I read somewhat to aim to get rid of 1/3 of stuff from a cluttered room. Not sure I will get that far, but I'm making a start. It also helps to spend time in each room and have a really good look at it. I keep seeing things that I can now let go.
Work is very busy, but it helps keep me focused. I'm also doing simpler meals - last night chook and salad. Tonight I am planning a tuna, cheese pie and salad.
Wishing you all a good day.

Good Morning Lovely Ladies
After a mammoth push yesterday we got all the yard and kitchen back to normal. I did have to 'direct traffic' a little, I think DD(almost)21 was a little overwhelmed as to where to start, I get that. So with some direction we worked well and got it done, even TNB helped out. And we've managed to eat the few leftovers too so the fridges are looking a little more normal and the naughty food has gone. I am thinking I should have bought DD a Liquor Cabinet for her 21st, the amount of bottles that were gifts was AMAZING, and she's not that big a drinker so it will take her until her 31st BDay to finish it off (and some of the party guests gave her a hand and finished a 1lt bottle of Vodka off for her )
This morning I woke to a Shiny Sink (ahhhh, that feels good). It's DH's day off and our biggest plan is to watch the new ep of Game of Thrones and do 30mins on the treadmill. It's the last day of school holidays here, but another week until DD(almost)21 starts her 10week placement rotation at a local hospital (30mins away) so that will have the house and schedule back to a little more normal (she doesn't have a full lecture schedule like previous years, so is at home A LOT and studying and doing research, so I then think I need to be quiet and plan cleaning around her).
Ok, time to have my green tea and plan my day. Wishing you all a Marvelous Monday and a Wonderful Week ahead.
