Good Morning Girls,
I hope that anyone near the storms in NSW are safe and well, I only just saw it on the news last night, I can't believe how bad it was.
Today I'm planning to take it easy, DH snored most of the night so not much sleep & on top of that I'm not feeling well. I've got washing & a small amount of ironing, I need to PUPA & I'll do my routines but that'll be about it.
Wishing you all a happy day

Good Morning Elasti and those to come We have been pretty lucky where we are, some storms but not too rough. The rural suburb near us has had some flooding, but hopefully that will ease soon.
Today, not sure really. I have been really unmotivated this week, but resting is good as long as I don't neglect things
Hope everyone has a great day

(Seriously) - OK Just found out this pic is a fake, but seriously there was a lot of rain
Good Morning Lovely Ladies
We have been through the eye of the storm and come out the other side. Without power for 48hrs. DS's power is still out, need to check on DMum's and bring her over if still out. A little water damage to the ceiling at DH work. And we have half a hill full of dirt in our pool, but other than that we have been very lucky. Just sent a garbage bag of off dairy and food off to the bins at work. Hoping I saved the freezer food by filling bags of ice and packing it in there and keeping the door closed. At least it all stayed cold and the few times I checked things at the front still felt frozen. Even the trays of drink ice were still frozen after 36hrs in the top of the fridge freezer, not sure about the ice cream though it may be an icy treat now.
School is still canceled today, mostly trees down or power outages. DH work has power but many trees down so they are running a 'working bee' today to try and clean up, I hope the members turn up. Just heard on the News over 200,000 houses were without power, so feeling pretty lucky to have it back on this soon as there are still 190,000 homes without it. Sadly there have been 4 deaths related to the floods about 30mins from here (close to DH work).
The absolute worst was the feeling of isolation and not knowing what was going on beyond our fence line. Hearing bits and pieces on the car radio, but no power, no internet and no mobile service. Thankfully the phone land lines were still working so I could stay in touch with DMum and the roads were clear to get over there yesterday to take ice for her freezer.
After it's all over, I am going shopping for some emergency supplies. We had the BBQ but the storm was so bad, we couldn't get outside to use it. So I'm going to buy a gas hot plate and lantern. And maybe for Christmas all the kids will get 'emergency supplies' for these situations.
Ok, time to get a load of washing in the machine, probably can't hang it out but at least I can hang it indoors. And get onto DMum to see how she is fairing.
Thanks for the love and concern you have shown, I missed you all Sooooooo Muchhhh xoxo

Hi Everyone Oh Elasti, don't know what you can do about DHs snoring (apart from the obvious- I think its called tontine therapy but its so difficult when you don't get enough sleep Medusa- as long as you are doing what needs to be done there is no harm in taking things easy. Im sure you are busier after school finishes with readers etc. Shellie- I glad to hear all is well with you and yours. Its so frustrating without power-cant even catch up on stuff like ironing and such. Decluttering? tidying? that's about all you can do at home. Freezers are so good nowadays and seal so well that food does stay frozen for a long time. Smart girl getting bags of ice I wouldn't have even thought of that! I had a good cleaning day yesterday and feel very pleased with the house (apart from crap that I need DH to 'give up') Now that I have DGD all day Friday, Saturday and half of Sunday I am ok not to get much done at home. I was so happy to have my 1st full Wednesday at home for 6 weeks!!!! Today was an early start for me and Im hoping to leave early too. I am babysitting again tonight but at DGDs house and after she is in bed so she wont even know. I will look at it as being a relaxing evening for me in front of TV Dinner is on, in the slow cooker and veggies already prepared.
Have a Good day Everyone- (even if the house is full of drying washing!!)
