I couldn't resist this picture
Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Happy Mothers Day to you all. I am up early this morning, woke when DH went to work and couldn't fall back asleep. Perhaps I got too much sleep the night before.
Had a fairly relaxed day yesterday, had all the kids (and the plus ones) for dinner, it was nice for them to get together but DD17 and BF are still a bit to young and wrapped up in themselves to be 'joiners'. It's a little annoying. At least we all sat around the same table to eat dinner.
I tried to do some ironing last night, get my new pale pink anorak ironed to wear today. Got the whole thing ironed, turned up the 2nd sleeve to press it flat and burned the bloody thing. I was so damn excited to get it for $27 instead of $80 and now I've burned it. Thank God I didn't pay $80, I'd have been in tears I think. Not sure if I can salvage it so I am going to go try to replace it, it's the last day of the sale today, we have 3 Katies within about 30min drive, so we will see, I know they still had a few left earlier in the week, who knows I could be that lucky.
Anyway, we have a lunch booked at a Thai Restaurant that comes recommended by DD21, hope it's not too spicy. DD17's BF and DS22's GF are spending the day with their mothers (as it should be) but TNB is joining us for lunch (his Mum is working during the day), then he and DD21 are heading to their place to cook Mothers Day dinner for her (on my suggestion) that's good. I must remind them to make sure they clean up well afterwards lol
Anyway, to all you lovely Mothers, I wish you a Super Mothers Day Sunday, I hope you get spoiled with love and affection and today (if not any other day) you realize how appreciated you are xoxo

Good Morning Shellie & those to come,
Hahaha Shellie - I love the pic! too true
I'm home with the kids today, DH has work - another normal Sunday for me (we don't get into the Mothers/Fathers Days) except that DS made a card for me at school.
Today I'm washing sheets & getting myself & the kids organised for the week. Other than that I might read my book if DS is quiet/preoccupied for any length of time.
Wishing you all a lovely day & if you're getting pampered for Mothers Day, enjoy!

Happy Mothers Day Everyone!! haha Shellie- that will be me tonight Bummer about the anorak! Hope you are able to get another one!! Have a lovely lunch at the Thai restaurant. I so LOVE Thai food!! Elasti- hope you are able to get some down time and read your book. DGD made her mum a card at Storytime at the library. It will be her first homemade outside the home card It had a teapot with a split pin that tipped into a teacup with a tea bag inside- so cute! Elizabeth, Medusa- you are probably enjoying breakfast in bed!!?? Have a good one today too! x We aren’t really big into Mothers day. It sort of depends on the year and who is around. My DM used to go on holidays for about 4 months over Winter and wasn’t around very often for Mothers day (can you guess who i take after lol) but she is here this year so we will visit her. My DC are coming for dinner although DD25 is on holiday in Japan (she must have that same gene!) DH is sleeping half a day after nightshift so Im off to church, then to DMs after lunch (DH will be up by then) and then home to make a fruit salad for dessert. Bolonaise sauce is all done and DD30 is making sticky date puddings. I will probably have to suggest that they clean up
Hope you all have a Lovely Mothers day!! x x

Hi everyone,
A lovely Mothers Day, but different from any plans. Breakfast was lovely - I'm a bit OCD and don't like crumbs in bed (nor am I coordinated enough not to drop them), but had a lovely scrambled eggs a la DH. Then it was DS9's rugby game which - I know you will all realise the terrible challenge - was very close to IKEA, so DS and I had a lovely lunch and shop there before heading into town to try to repair DD's phone. A long afternoon of 4 visits to the Apple Store in between other shopping and a nice afternoon tea at Shingle Inn. Came home to DH and DD cooking dinner - Tandoori chicken and rice absolutely delicious!
Busy week ahead and needing to be super organised. Hope the mums had a lovely Mothers Day but also sending thoughts to those reminded of loss today or feeling less appreciated due to choices that society might not so easily recognise.
Also needing healing thoughts and prayers to quite a few friends at the moment with some serious health issues.
