Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Yesterday ended up being a really lovely day. DD21(especially) pulled out all the stops trying to fix what DD17 (and co.) tried to break. Thai Lunch was delicious and Dinner was Pizza (haven't had Pizza for over 18mnths, so it was nice). We watched some Footy as well as a few movies in the arvo/evening. Very restful day. DD17 did seem to be trying to make amends too. I must say Mothers Day was much different to when they were all younger, then it was Mothers Day Stall gifts (often the ones I'd donated as the kids thought they were cool when I was making them) or little things I'd bought for them to wrap and school made cards. That was very sweet back then but now they are older they really do need to realize it's the one day they need to get grateful and show it. I never use to 'demand' such things in the past, and DH just doesn't think that way, but I think I've done myself a great dis-service by not requiring more of DH and the kids. Change is coming, slowly, but it's coming.
Tomorrow is DH BDay so we are having an early BDay outing to the movies today (he'll be at work tomorrow) and going shopping for some presents. Not really wanting anything in particular and kind of hard to shop for. Tomorrow night all the kids will come for dinner again so I'll cook up one of DH Fav's.
It's clear sky's in all directions this morning, but super windy and cold. Thanks to kids I have a new black and white shawl or a super thick pink scarf to help keep me warm. I am watching some big trees in the back neighbours yard swaying in the wind and hoping they decide to fall down. They are mostly ugly and messy all year round and drop stuff into our pool. The house is at no risk from them, but the garage and pool area are. Lets see what happens.....
Ok, time to get DD17 moving and motivated for school and get on with the rest of the day. Wishing you all a Marvelous Monday and a Wonderful Week ahead xoxo
