Hi Everyone Hope those not feeling well are getting better and those who aren’t coping too well have a great day today and those on holiday are having a wonderful time. I worked at our rental for 11 hours yesterday. DD25 and her DBF also did a great job and DH came after work (poor guy fell asleep at his desk ) and was still there when i went to bed after 10.30 BUT today is a day off for us as we are going to see The Lion King after work Who cares if the rental isn’t finished by the time the tenants move in on Saturday!! Im not actually feeling really excited about this as I dont yet know if DH is picking me up from work -Ill take my clothes just in case. Im feeling a bit like Ive been dragged backwards thru a bush. My hands are so dry from renovating and Im sure Ive got paint all over me. Not feeling like a glamorous night out at all. Oh well Im sure i will when the time comes. We booked months ago and isn’t it scary how time is just flying by!!
Hope you girls all Have a wonderful Day!! x x

Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Oh Judy, I'd have taken your tickets if I'd know how 'under the pump' you were. "dragged backwards through the bush" I haven't heard that in a long while. lol. You poor thing, you will be so glad once it's over. DH and I were talking about reno's and things the other day (we did much of this place and previous home on our own), we both decided we are just past it now. His back, my hips, his shoulders, my back, lol, we are falling apart at the seams. Thank god we are at least 45kgs lighter than 2yrs ago, we'd be in even worse shape I think
I hope you and DD feel better soon Medusa. I have thought about the number times you younger mum's are sick, we were the same when kids were at preschool and primary school, just so many exposures to new germs/bugs coming from so many directions. Maybe some Vitamens or ProBiotics would help boost your immune system.
Yesterday DMum and I had our visit to the Solicitor, she was so stressed about it, after we left she decided it wasn't so bad. NO!!!! Really? OMG. Anyway we have to go back next week to sign the documents.
We had a talk about what was involved in my being basically the sole executor, DH is too but only a safe guard, he won't actually do anything but some heavy lifting I guess (Brother and I both were, but he told DMum 'her wants nothing to do with it', OF COURSE). I just want DMum to understand what was involved. DMum and I had to pack up my Aunts house when she went to a nursing home so she only has that as a frame of reference and we had other relatives come and take big items that my aunt had given them, so we didn't do it on our own and my aunt made the major decisions. I mentioned to DMum that I could just ring Chris Reilly's Charity and he could bring a truck and take it all away as a donation and brother could have half of that....NOTHING!!!! and I'd have it all done in one day. She was not happy about that. I wouldn't do it of course, but I want her to realize that if I go to all the effort to sell stuff, have antique/2nd dealers come in etc (after brother has picked through what he wants) then why exactly should he reap the benefits of my work and effort. The solicitor explained my role and that ALL out of pocket expenses are to be paid back to me before settlement, so I was happier about hearing that. I didn't like the idea of our family being out of pocket paying cleaners and mower men to keep the place up while it sells and then having to 'bill' brother who would NEVER pay (he would just say 'I said I wanted nothing to do with it' and 'just let the grass grow'). DH suggested that when the time came, "brother could come and collect anything he wanted to take and sell himself", and then we both laughed, that would require him actually doing something.
Anyway, time to get moving. Wishing you all a Terrific Thursday xoxo
