Good Morning Everyone,
Even though I got a lot done yesterday there was a few things I didn't get to. Today I need to spray weeds, air out the winter doona on the line, (HELLO SPRING! ) wash the doona cover, wash DD's sheets & blankets, S&S x2, ironing, meal plan, declutter, zone, sort some mail, exercise.
That's off the top of my head, I'll see how that goes
Wishing you all a happy day

Good Morning Elasti and all Lovely Ladies
I am up early this morning thanks to my furry alarm clock. I never really sleep in anyway, just can't seem to stay there.
This week is DD17's last official week at school (how did that happen!!!!) So this week, then 4 weeks until 1st HSC exam. After several efforts to have an 'adult' conversation about her study habits and her 'plan' to do this the best she can, we came up with a plan for 45mins per subject per day with a 15min break in between and an hour break every couple to 3 subjects from now until exam time. With an OPEN BEDROOM DOOR policy (so I can wander past as see her actually doing something). (I suggested 45mins as I am guessing that might end up being an actual 30mins - I didn't tell her that). I also warned her if it's not being regularly done she can forget about any socializing that 'comes up' along the way. So yesterday she actually appeared to be doing it. Hoping that some intensive study at this stage will give her some hope to do well (she just has not had the same study habits as the other two, mostly just does assigned homework the night before it's due, so probably hasn't actually learned any proper study habits). This kid is too much stress.
Today is DH day off. No major plans so far, maybe a walk together and I guess he will want to go out for lunch (he is a creature of habit).
DMum seems to pick up a bit yesterday. I wonder sometimes what it is. I know she has a chronic lung disease and she has become more reliant of the oxygen, but that's not usually what she complains about. It's her stomach. So I am constantly suggesting things to try, I can only go on what she tells me. She says she has a hiatus hernia (but to my knowledge never been actually visualized on any scan or diagnosed by a Dr), she suffers from bloating and therefore discomfort which gets worse as the day goes on. I have suggested limiting different food groups (like her Soy milk or the Slippery Elm[natural product]) but she tends to be stubborn about things I suggest. Yesterday I wondered if it's her Ventalin Nebulizer pushing too much air into her tummy so suggested she try using the spacer Ventalin only. We will see if she does that and if it makes a difference. She does a fair bit of 'sighing' and I know for me when I am anxious I do the same and end up bloated and 'windy' (sorry for the TMI lol). Anyway we will see.
Ok, so I need to achieve something before the rest of the family are up and about. Wishing you all a Marvelous Monday and a Wonderful Week ahead xoxo

Good morning, a quick post before school drop off. Elasi, isn't it nice to be able to wash the winter stuff? Shellie, hope dmum feels better soon and am glad to hear that DD17 has a plan for studying.
Today is literacy groups, then grocery shopping, dropping off books to the library and back home for house work. Have a good day

Hi girls It's great to enjoy some Spring weather isn't it?! I think it makes us all motivated again. Shellie - sounds to me you've made some great suggestions to DD17 for studying. Elasti- we have only the one doona. It has feathers and we shake feathers up in Winter and down in summer- or throw off on hot summer nights. Medusa- I bet the teachers at your DDs school love having you help out with different programs. Last night we had a lovely time with out very good friends. It's a pity life is too busy to catch up more often! We will when we all retire l It's a work day for me today and I've hung out a load of washing I washed overnight at 7am before work, I might just text DH a reminder to bring it in After work I've got to shop for a couple of ingredients for a new recipe for me- Pad Thai - we'll see how that goes. I'd like to have dinner a little later and go for a walk first. I also need to water my plants and maybe some ZONE and of course fold that load of washing Hope you all Enjoy the rest of the Day! X x
