Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Today is DD17's Presentation Night. Officially 'graduating' from High School. Still have the exams in a month, so will still be thinking like a 'school mum' for awhile yet.
Went to DMum's yesterday. She has moments. I repaired her vertical blinds yesterday (re-sewed the stitching that had perished with the sunlight) while DMum sat on her bed and relaxed and chatted away like her normal self. Then last night on the phone (we call each other every morning and night) she said she wishes she could just go to sleep and never wake up. Now that's a cheery thought for a daughter heading off for a peaceful nights sleep. And it's the same each and every phone call. Every day, twice a day I get 'Debbie Downer', and I try to jolly her along, and not to engage the negativity, change the subject to cheerier things, but she just goes back to the doom and gloom. And I keep getting 'What's your problem?' (I guess that's only lady talk for 'How are you?'). Not much I can do about it, but wow, it gets a little waring day in and day out. Probably a little like my whining here, sorry, I'll stop now.
House is looking pretty FLY I have to say (brag), so that feels good. Could probably mop a room or two (I don't do it weekly) just to freshen things up a little more. I think I need to work on decluttering cupboards. We have an very large shelf piled 10high and 3deep of Video tapes (kids movies mostly, some bought, some taped from TV) what do you do with them? Plus a lot of single bed sheets and now only 1 single bed in the house (and no desire to have fairies or skateboards) so there is some linen to go through too. So that might be a little project for me to get started on.
Ok, time to treadmill and then on with the day. Wishing you all a Terrific Thursday xoxo
