Hi Everyone Good to see you again Jilly. I hope Ant is able to sleep better with his machine and its good to hear Josh isnt having the fits anymore. Medusa- I love the butterfly house too. Sounds like you are having a great holiday. We might have to send out a search party for Elizabeth! Sorry I didn’t post yesterday. I went to work and then dinner at DD30s, so no FLYing for me. All I did was put out the bins to the kerb and feed my dog Today Im going to a DFsDMs funeral and then to babysit for a couple of hours while DD30 goes to physio. I dont know whether it will be worth my while to go home in between or just kill some time at DD30s and maybe do her vacuuming and mopping. Ill take a frozen homemade pie out of the freezer and just do some veggies with it for dinner. Its supposed to be my WHB day as well but as Ill get home well after 4pm I dont expect to get too much done esp as I’m going to have to wash, dry and straighten my hair in the morning before I leave. We’ll just see if I can get some done and then finish the rest after work on Thursday?? I hope you are all enjoying the school holidays with your kids!!
Have a wonderful Wednesday!! x x

Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Well it's been a few days since I even turned my computer on, the house is looking 'pretty FLY' and I am keeping up with things pretty well. The weather picked up yesterday so I got an unexpected load dry and all the folding/hanging got done from the 3 loads day before (except DD17's basket of towels chore which she will do in time).
I have been in a "100days of 'Shiny Sink' challenge" on a facebook group(with photo's) and have just completed 100/100. (scored 9/10 previous to challenge but now a solid 10/10). Accountability is very motivating on those 'too tired' nights. We are keeping it going as it's a nice bunch of girls taking part.
Heading to DMum's this morning and taking her to hospital. She has been fighting this visit off for a week or more, but has to give into it we think. Not really sure what is going on, but seems concentrated around her digestive system (diarrhea, bloating after lunch, discomfort/pain, inflammation, not wanting to eat, and of course now weight loss), so we really can't mess about any longer. She has a hiatus hernia (although never been seen on a scan) that everyone agrees will have been caused by all the coughing from the lung condition, this makes eating a discomfort anyway and with the other symptoms on top she is having a rough time.
The other night she announced she should 'go into a home', NEVER heard her say that before so I am just processing that atm. Only 2 weeks ago she was having anxiety over a visit from her Care Co-ordinator as she would 'put me in a home, don't let her put me in a home' (which she has NO power to do that) and now she says this. So I am just processing that and will have to see how she feels after hospital visit. I have in the past been quick to say, well DMum can live here with us, but now as her condition deteriorates and I see the extent of her needs, I just am not so quick to make this statement. I said to Hubby last night, if only she could move in next door that would be perfect, I could be on hand 24/7 but we could retain our privacy and distance. With 2 kids gone and 1 getting so close to 18, we are about to enter a new 'unencumbered' phase of our lives and to be tied down again knowing full well there will be no chance of respite from my Brothers family to help me out, just seems too much. I am really split on this issue and will need to give it much more thought.
Anyway, time to tick some 'Daily's' before I head out today. The weather has turned cold and rainy again, so I will be unpacking a few winter clothes again that I thought I'd washed up for the reason.
Judy, enjoy the babysitting (I know you always do. I am a little jealous of that, but I guess with kids all under 22 I can wait a little longer, lol)
Medusa, enjoy Coffs H, seeing your 'check in's have memories coming back of our visits there.
Elasti, how wonderful to be compliments on your kids, they are the true reflection of what a wonderful Mum you are. Well done Mum (and kids).
Wishing you all a Wonderful Wednesday xoxo

Hi Shellie- sorry to hear your DMs health is deteriorating again. It is a lot of work to look after an elderly person in your own home and I dont think you can do it without other help from siblings as you need to have time away too, otherwise you will begin to feel resentful and used. If she needs it, a village or hostel near your home would be ideal in my opinion. My DM is in a village and is enjoying the activities- she can choose what she wants to be involved it- and the socializing with others there. Im surprised how many ‘younger’ elderly people are there. There is also a hostel there and people in the village can easily go there when needed. 100 days of shining your sink?! Wow! Good on you!! I was proud I did mine this morning haha Ive decided not to do my WHB today. Its all pretty good with DH away and DS21 and I haven’t been home/inside very much. Ill do it on Saturday and then again Wednesday a week and a half after that to get back into my weekly routine. Its not often i have 2 things to go to on a Wednesday.
Have a Good one ! x x

Have a Good one ! x x Thank you Judy, I thought you would some experience and thoughts on this issue. The kids and DH was be great to help out her, but we don't have anyone to rely on if we all wanted to go out or go away. Brother (and his family) just don't have DMum's back (let alone mine).
Thankfully I got the great news today, a Level 4 Aged Care Package is now available. These are scarce as hens teeth. DMum was assessed Level 3-4 after her last hospital stay but still only received Level 1-2 (time/subsidy) as it was all that was available. So I can't believe how lucky we are. Right when I didn't know what was next, this becomes available. Thank goodness. Level 4 is a much much higher subsidy and therefore much more time.
DMum was admitted, suspected Pneumonia. Guessing it will be at least 5+ days as they will do some rehab after she begins to recover.
