Good Morning Ladies, I am so happy to say I am feeling so much better, I still have a sore back but at leased I don't feel like vomiting every minute of the day any more.
Medusahair, I am so pleased your DD is feeling better it is so awful when our children are sick. I hope you enjoyed your Bible study yesterday.
Judy, it sounds like you had some wonderful family time. Sad about the lawn, I am sure it will get done soon. We are also having trouble with our Beagle Boys hair I have no idea how he can lose so much and not be bald; honestly I am over it and thinking of shaving him!
Ladies I hope you all have a great day love and hugs. oxoxoxoxo

Glad to hear you're feeling better, Jilly! Hope you all have had a good day.
Today's the first day of half term, so I'm at home all day (other than getting the children out for a walk. DS will spend the entire time on one electronic gadget after another other than the bit where I haul him out kicking and screaming to get some fresh air, but DD will probably want to spend at least some of the time playing. Let's see... what do I want to accomplish with the day?
Specifics I need to get done
Empty dishwasher Get DD ready (hair brushing, breakfast, make sure she gets some clothes on) E-mail childcare place E-mail son's new school about a couple of details Get into town to get haircut for son and take DH's glasses to be repaired One educational credit Exercise Dinner tonight (nothing complicated so won't take long)
General areas to work on
Desk Work stuff Appraisal preparation Living room (can keep that really brief, but I'm trying to get at least a few minutes done in there every day) Some of my own writing
Hmmmmm.... think that's it. I'll probably think of something else once I get started, but that covers most of it.
9 am here. Have done some of dishwasher already but had to stop when DH & DS got up so stopped to have breakfast/enjoy a bit of relaxation with my computer. So, will get back to dishwasher and take it from there.

Hi, Judy! Pumpkin frittata sounds tasty and I wish I could try it! Enjoy your rest - sounds like a productive day for you. Half-term lasts through till the end of next week, although I'll be working on both Fridays and the Wednesday (children will be in holiday club). Still, that's several days of getting to stay in bed later, avoiding a big rush-round in the morning, not having to clean out lunchboxes... I can feel myself relaxing just thinking about it. Lists updated as, of course, I did forget a few things: Specific tasks - additional items
Change and wash towels Check what dinner is being served at holiday club tomorrow Packed lunch for me tomorrow (both children have opted for the holiday club hot lunch, which is cool as it saves me trouble Phone paediatrician to chase up prescription (only if it doesn't arrive in today's post, so waiting to see on that one) Go to pharmacy (which I'll combine with the walk for errands that was already planned) General areas
Have a look at Flylady's Holiday Mission for the day and see whether it's something I can do (can't remember what the usual one is on the first Thursday - although come to think of it I bet I could look back in my inbox as probably have them saved from previous years!) However, have been making progress - have accomplished the following: Dishwasher emptied Both e-mails sent DD ready (good god, it's wonderful not to have to fight over homework as well as hairbrushing) Towels changed and going through washing machine Checked holiday club dinner Worked on my desk - caught up with two months' worth of bank statements for my current account that needed reconciling. So, pretty good start to the day. On the downside, I checked my work e-mail in this flurry of organisational fervour and found out that I'll need to do appraisal about a month earlier than I was expecting to have to do it. So, that'll mean a blast of work trying to get it all done!! Oh, well... my fault for procrastinating and not getting moving earlier. I think I can do it if I get my finger out, and the plus side is that I'll at least get it out of the way instead of having it all hanging over me at just the time I'm trying to make final arrangements for the children's birthdays, which is what happened last year. Right - time to get on with things again. I'll see if I can get my credit card account updated as well and make payment on it, and then sort out lunch for the kids.

Oh, well, that one got derailed - DD wanted to build our cardboard 3D model of Tower Bridge. Great fun, but took about an hour and a half. Sigh.
Anyway, to try to make up some time I logged onto work over lunch and got through a huge stack of blood results - also now typed a letter that's been in the pipeline. Still something like nine letters left to do, though, plus the incoming stuff and my appointments from tomorrow to go through, so still lots to do there.
Also got packed lunch done. Don't have to phone paed as the prescription actually turned up!! Flylady's Holiday Mission is to go and stock up on stuff like sticky tape, and I'm not doing that when I've got both children in tow, it'd be chaos, so that's getting left to another day. First lot of towels now in the dryer. So, what does that leave?
Into town for errands (pharmacy, Specsavers, barber) Exercise Dinner Something on appraisal (taking something I have to read for this into town, so at least that's something, but I'd like to get more than that done) More work stuff
That'd technically cover it as the writing is optional, but I'd still like to get more desk stuff done as well. Sigh. Why does everything seem to take so long? Because I let it all build up, that's why it all seems to take so long. Oh, well, at least I've worked hard today even if it's going more slowly than I'd have liked. Hanging on in there...
