Good Morning Ladies, I have a big week ahead of me with appointments everyday except Friday. Monday was at the Doctors for Josh and then off to the Bank and NDIS. I have been thinking of you all; but so busy with medical appointments and NDIS appointments for our Joshua, it has been all go, go, go! I am looking forward to a break over the weekend. Anyhoo, today we have a blood test for Josh, appointment at the Bank, the Job Club and a stop in at Centrelink.
Elizabeth, I hope your party goes well and Happy Birthday to your DS.
Judy, it sounds like you had a delightful weekend. I hope you enjoy your DBPs stay.
Shellie, your garden sounds beautiful. All the best with your DD's formal, I have such lovely memories of our Johanna's. How lovely that your DCousin was able to visit I often wish I were able to visit mine. However both England and South Africa are a tad too far.
I hope everyone is doing well today! Hugs and love to all. oxoxoxoxo

Good Morning Everyone
Jilly - I hope that the NDIS is helpful for you and Joshua, I have heard that they can be difficult (DD is on different funding, am going to transfer over after that runs out)
Today I have the last day of my course. In the afternoon, GP wants to see DD, so we have to rush from school to do that.
Have a great day

Good Morning to all the Lovely Ladies
DH's day off yesterday. 1st up to the Dr, on Antibiotics (that makes all of us still here in the last month, plus DS22'sGF as well - ENOUGH). Then finally to our appointment we've been trying to schedule for 3 weeks. Rest of the day home and DH resting and me unable to settle, so I got some more organizing and decluttering of paper clutter from DMum's. Cooked a nice batch of Curried Turkey Sausages for dinner.
Today is WHB day. Plus 2 loads of towels (almost done), and 2 small loads of clothes (already hung). Then I'd like to get back out into the garden. I have this plant growing wild, self seeds and has taken over, time for it to go, plus another large plant which was supposed to be a shrub but as ended up as more of a tall ground cover. I wanted it to grow tall against the wall between 2 windows, so out it goes as it's not serving it's purpose. Will need to find something 'right' to go there. I also want to hedge prune my other 'Yesterday,Today and Tomorrow' plant (if my shoulders and arms have recovered from the last one). That sounds like enough, but there will also be the folding and the ironing really needs to be tackled.I have been making some grand plans here with the house. What's the saying 'God laughs when we make plans'. Well I'd like to build a 2nd double garage in front of the 1st one to actually house cars (positive there is already a driveway there so no need to pour concrete/negative - the driveway in on a slight grade so not a level surface, I bet that will create problems). Then convert original double garage into 1/2 storage(bikes/mower/old 'but special' toys/pool floats/Christmas tubs/canoes/tools/bookcases/2 single bed frame/etc - many things that can be reused by either us or kids in the not too distant future) and 1/2 'Pool Room' (with glass sliding doors opening out onto the pool area, with a small kitchenette and fridge and seating). Then add a semi-enclosed Pergola with an outdoor kitchen (our BBQ has been sitting on an old work bench owned by previous owners of the house for 14yrs). And we have had NO shade in our backyard for 14yrs (except to odd wind/weather damaged umbrella).
In our kitchen, our floor was laid badly so half the floor is made up of cracked and broken tiles (covered with a hall runner) and grout coming out which ends up up the vacuum. The once lovely black laminate bench tops are now scratched beyond repair and many of the timber doors are scratched, worn or peeling. I dislike IMMENSELY how you can see our sink from the formal lounge room and the privacy screen that hides it from the family room is old fashion and a real 'hot spot', so an overhaul in there is necessary. The entire floor needs removing (even the sheet flooring as it's the movement in that that has ruined the times), then new flooring (probably boards to match the adjoining family room), then replace kitchen in current configuration (can't think of a different way to do it) then replace bench tops and cupboard doors. Also my stove, only 1 hotplate still works properly, other three the thermostat switches have broken so they have 2 settings OFF or FLAT OUT, no inbetween. To replace them would be a minimum of $300 for parts alone (with only a 3mth guarantee), so a new stove might be a better option. So then do I put in an under-bench over and a cook-top instead of free standing stove. Who knows?I would then like to offset some of the costs a little and try to reuse old bench tops and cupboard doors from kitchen as the kitchenette in the pool areaSo as you can imagine, it's a lot of planning and will take a lot of time and money (both which are usually in short supply). I just want to finally finish off the house and yard and sit back and enjoy it. We really have been renovating on and off for 14yrs, just doing what we could afford, then leaving things unfinished until able to afford to do more. We are still starring at the the original 80yr old rusty, uneven metal fence that we approached the neighbours about replacing 12yrs ago (which they refused as it has a mural painted on their side by their then 15yr old daughter). Part of it blew over in a storm at that time so DH thought it was a good time to replace, they refused. So as we have to pool, DH fixed it himself to make it secure and they didn't even pay their half of materials, so doesn't look like we will get any help from them. So that leaves us with having to cover the fence from our side only.
Last night a GF advertised her very very expensive kitchen for sale $8000, EVERYTHING included (Cook Top, Underbench Oven, Convection/Microwave Oven/in wall Cappuccino Maker/Steam Oven/Range Hood/all bench tops, cupboards & doors, some sort of 'cellar'(she is sending a pick of that), EVEN THE KITCHEN SINK. So DH and I were trying to work out how we could buy it, use the appliances in our current kitchen (with a little re-configuring), use the leftovers in the kitchenette and then any other leftovers be of some use to DNiece who is renovating their 1st home. I just can't figure how to reconfigure it. So frustrating, the Range Hood alone is valued new at $3,000 and it's just a Range Hood. The in the wall Cappuccino maker is about $2,000 and who knows what the ovens would be worth. None of it is new, but I know this girl well, she doesn't cook too much. She dines out a lot (they are very wealthy) and I am guessing she suggests a lot of takeaways and BBQ's too. So none of the appliances would be 'overworked'.
So as you can see, I have a lot of thinking to do. 1 hr ago I told DH we won't worry about the kitchen as my brain hurts too much from thinking about it, then I think of that stunning Range Hood (I don't have one that works and it's from the 70's so no wonder it doesn't work). And that Cappuccino Machine and my broken stove and I really really want it.
Ok, time to stop dreaming for the moment and hang a load of washing, quick vac through and hit the garden. At least I know what I want to do out there. Wishing you all a Terrific Tuesday xoxo

Good Afternoon Ladies, well I didn't make it to the Bank! Joshua's appointment at the blood people ran too long but that is okay; I have made another appointment for Tuesday next week. Now we are off to Joshua's Job Club meeting and then stopping off for Joshua to see the Christmas Decorations at the Gate. Catch you all later, love and hugs to all. oxoxoxo
