Good Morning
Spent yesterday being pretty thorough in 3 rooms. (Ensuite, Main Bedroom and Lounge Room). Was going to continue my way through the house (room by room) but Hubby came home early and set up camp on the Family Room couch. Not long after that DD17 and friend set up on the Lounge room couch. So I went grocery shopping instead, then cooked up a killer Lasagna and made a huge container of fresh fruit salad.
Today I am going to concentrate on the Kitchen, Walk in Pantry and Dining/Family Room/Back Entry. Everything needs a good dust. I have things piled at the back door to go back to DMums so I'll load them in the car between showers of rain. Need to clear up a few hot spots and try to sort out a filing system for DMum's paperwork (this will be hanging around for a while)
I think DS22 and GF will be here for dinner so need to think about something from the freezer (wanting to 'eat it down' before Christmas buying starts)
I felt sick last night, not sure what it was (but it WASN'T my cooking ) so for the 1st time in the longest time I didn't finish off the sink. I left the electric frypan to soak. I have the dishwasher already on, and I think I will run it twice today. I am hoping it was just a matter of being completely exhausted from missed sleep on the formal night.
Going to find a photo of DD17 so will be back to finish this soon.
Out fit.......................................................Hair.........................................................'Artsie' photography with a 'Friend' (trying to keep it in the friend zone) Off-white halter top with black lace skirt (petticoat was shorter than lace). This is our 6th formal (counting all the kids), previous there has been an array of skirt lengths from quite short, mid-length to flowing (should have been taken up) gowns. This year all (except DD17) chose flowing gowns or plunging backs or fronts. Also lots of very long splits in skirts. DD17 was very happy with her choice (as was I), we felt she looked elegant and her age. AND we can reuse both pieces a lot. Her Yr 10 formal dress has never been used again.
Ok, time to get moving. Wishing you a Super Saturday and a Wonderful Weekend.

Hi Jilly, Shellie and those to come,
Cricket this morning with DS10 and I'm scoring. After that we'll pop by the shops to look for things for a couple of his birthday vouchers. This afternoon it's the family hullabaloo - affectionate name for my in-laws visiting - I think we only have about 15 people coming, though, so it's a smaller one. I've decided to make it simple, Red Rooster chooks, potato bake, green salad, fancy salad, cake for dessert. DSiL is bringing nibbles and we have left over mini soft drink cans from his party with his school mates earlier in the week.
It's been a big week so I'm on slow and steady. I slept better last night and really have to start focusing on my health a bit better. Living on coffee and sugar and lack of sleep. (Won't be changing much in the coffee - but the other two need work )
Wishing you all a super day.
