Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Posting Wednesday night. It was very quiet here yesterday.
Yesterday I had a day doing chores for DMum. Banking, Bills and Groceries. Did manage a few small loads of washing before a huge storm hit here yesterday evening. Had heaps of rain so outside got a good wash and the yard got a good drink.
Today I am hoping to do a quick whip-around with the vac. Then maybe head to the shops with DD19. I'd like to look at the exercise equipment that Big W have had in their recent catalogue. And of course my exercise.
Wishing you a terrific Thursday.

Good morning Shellie, Medusa & those to come, I did 20 minutes of weeding yesterday before my joints complained too much & I needed to stop. today for me is taking the kids to school, dropping DH's phone off to him (he forgot it) & grocery shopping. after that I'm going to make some phonecalls, update my budget, file & cull some papers. The procrastinating/indecisiveness I have with paper & important things like phonecalls is tough. It's probably my worst habit. I don't know why, I guess it's fear of failure & fear of getting things wrong. anyway, I'm keeping on trucking enjoy your day everyone

Hi Shellie, Thanks for opening - I love logging on and seeing the day started already. Joining in on your Dukan efforts. Probably not quite doing it to plan, but progress, not perfection. Also was spontaneously roped in to share a PT session with a DGf on Tuesday and it's been great - reminded me that I am capable, not of everything, but of quite a bit. Feeling a bit more positive re health which is rubbing off a little on other things.
Hi Medusa, I was just thinking of the quote, "When life gives you lemons, make lemonade" and just loved your orange story - "When life gives you oranges for 5c, make cakes." Hope you have a great day and was admiring all your extra small persons - you are amazing!
Hi Elasti, Humungous (my DS8's favourite word) (((((Hugs))))) coming your way. You have a lot on your plate (understatement!), but you can do this. Please be gentle with yourself. You are doing an amazing job with lots of challenges. I hope you can do what needs to be done, then celebrate and congratulate yourself. Hope your joints settle down again soon too. More ((((Hugs)))).
Hi everyone,
A home day today until 2.30pm run around until 7pm. I'll make taco mince so anyone can heat and eat when they need dinner. I've also planned to take DDog for a walk while DD is at training - a treat for me and DDog. After PT on Tuesday and starting my protein, I'm feeling a little more capable of these healthy choices. Also read those articles Shellie, they seem to come around on rotation. Agree in so far as fibre and veg are definitely part of a healthy diet, but I'm finding the protein good for slowing digestion, fullness, and weaning me off the sugars I'm addicted to from the high carb diets. I'm sure there are many studies on high carbs, sugars, processed foods and such like that are common in Western diets. So I'm with you and the gals on giving it a good go.
Work is still a struggle to fit in, but I'm getting some done.
Wishing you all a great day.

Hi Elizabeth, GOOD FOR YOU. It really is all about making yourself a priority. Dr Phil (I love Dr Phil) has said it many times, if you don't look after yourself, then who's going to be around to look after your family. Wise man that Dr Phil.
I ended up finding the DUKAN Diet book at the op shop, plus a copy of Dr Phils Ultimate Weight Loss Solution. I have been pouring over the Dukan one so far, cute little post-it notes sticking out of important parts. I will turn to Dr Phil once I have Dukan firmly in place. Dr Phil can train my mind while Prof Dukan can work on my body. Just need a copy of "The Commando's" book and I'll have all the boys looking after me
There are some great sites about the Dukan Diet, so much so, you might not even need the book, unless you really want it. Here are a list of the ones I have bookmarked for future reference. And if you have any questions, just ask, I am by no means the Dukan expert but I'm happy to look up the book for you. thedukandietsite.com/www.dukandiet.co.uk/low-carb-diet/4-phaseswww.dukandietmeals.co.uk/www.squidoo.com/DukanDietmydukandiet.com/There is plenty of reading in this lot, I have barely begun to scratch the surface with some sites. The recipes are good to flick through, just to get some ideas. I am yet to perfect the Dukan pancake/gallette, but I am just having my bran in my yoghurt, and I'm not hating it at all, adds a different texture to it to help with variety. Oh and we are having Diet Jelly for dessert each night, not exactly Dukan but it ticks all the boxes and it's a lovely little treat after being good all day. I am keen to get to both DH and I being on Phase 2 so I'm not making 3 different meals each night . Hoping that I'll get organized enough to just cook doubles of the Protein on 'Protein and Veg day' to use on 'Protein only days'. Well that's the grand plan anyway. And again, I am not the Dukan expert but I have listed my food daily on the Food Accountability thread if you are looking for ideas.
I hope it works as well for you as it is for us. I am amazed at how little I am feeling deprived. And with some planning the meals are not boring. xoxo

Hi Shellie,
Just loaded Proboards on my phone so should be able to check in more regularly. Thanks for the encouragement and all those links - will keep me busy for a time. I've found a couple of Dukan books at my local library.
Walked DDog this afternoon while DD was at cricket. So pleased - just have to keep it up.
Night night....
