Hello to all the Lovely Ladies
We are finally, as of this afternoon (29/3/16) connected to the nbn
. It got disconnected on 8/2/16
Now of course no one from Telstra or the NBN Dept have contacted us to let us know, lol. I just made my usual pass by the router and was going to reset it before my hundredth call to Telstra, as I've done many times before hoping for a glimmer of life, and there it was green lights everywhere. So YAY!!!! I am no longer in the dark ages, no longer alone on my island using only a coconut phone and smoke signals.
So I have been a little hit and miss around here on all levels.
I have let my weight get away from me a bit, it's been 6months since DMum passed, plus Christmas, Easter, the 3 January BDay's and the 2 week long vacations, so I shouldn't be at all surprised it happened. BUT time to get that back in hand, began Phase 1 of Dukan again yesterday, so far so good.
The house, I get some good marks for washing being very up to date (including the ironing and folding away), the Laundry room hasn't looked this clean and tidy for 12months, Bedroom is tidy and actually got dusted this morning and I have vacced front half the house today. Deep 'Zone' cleaning is just not happening.
Hubby is ok but we think he has Rheumatoid Arthritis, very painful joints, so been to a specialist and having some tests done. Hopeful there is something to bring my young husband back.
DD18 has settled into Uni life and settled down a little. We had a run of nights out and 18th BDay parties that felt like it would never end, thankfully she is more settled now. She has a little part time job teaching dance class 2 evenings a week and still dances herself, she gets paid to teach, then I get to pay for her lessons, lol, I am such a push over.
DD21 (almost 22) is having her graduation ceremony Thursday night, no job prospects yet, I feared this would happen. Mentioned to her again this morning, time to cast a wider net and look for some part time work anywhere until the 'right' job comes along. Too much time spent in her flat is not good for her I think. Sadly she missed out on doing her Masters Degree which would have put her in the field and into a job, maybe next semester. She has been doing some School presentations on healthy eating but this is volunteer work, looks good on a resume but no money. Has also applied and got an interview for a very part time job (3hrs a week) doing healthy eating training days with teenagers, hopefully she will get that and it will lead to more work.
DS23 is going good, still doing his degree part time, so taking the long way round to get there. Working for Hubby 3 mornings a week and still working at the movie theater. So he is a busy boy.
We have a buyer for DMum's house, he moves in on the 18/4/16, we are having a contents auction on 11/4/16, so I have just a few weeks to get things sorted. will have to meet with auctioneer so he can show me what I should be doing. Then we will have to arrange for someone with a truck (Vinnies, Sally's or Mission) to collect what doesn't sell and have it removed.
Ok, time to get on with the rest of my day. I hope you are all well, FLYing high and enjoying your families xoxo
