Good Morning Lovely Ladies (writing this on Thursday night)
Well today (Friday) is my wedding anniversary..Happy Anniversary to Us. No plans. In fact if I hadn't just looked at the date to write this post I may have missed it. Looks like I need to go shopping to buy a card.
This week has been busy, I finally have all the contents boxed up and in 'Lots' for the Auction. The Auctioneer (a long time friend of Hubby's) and his offsider has been there doing their part, but the lions share has been me. The Auction will take place this Sunday. The new owner had requested to bring some things over this week that he didn't want to be damaged on his removal truck. So I have been over on 2 days to let him in.
This is getting REAL!!!!! On Tuesday I just walked around and looked at things, took some photos, touched things, then today I just sat while the man dropped his things off. As I drove away it all became very real, very final. After Tuesday it will no longer be Mum's house, I can no longer go there. Her things will be sold and they will be gone, never to be seen again. Up until now I have had my 'Executor' hat on, I've been all 'business', doing what needed to be done legally, etc etc etc, but today I am just a daughter, I sad daughter who misses her Mum and is feeling very alone. (Sorry if this feels dramatic, just wanted to 'voice' it).
Anyway not looking to be a sookie lala, just sayin'. So after I was at Mums I did some shopping and came home and vacced 1/2 the house, honestly I just never seem to be able to get the whole place done in one day. I got 2 phone calls then Hubby arrived home and needed a foot on the break while he replaced the globe in my rear brake light (not an easy task anymore, it's like that want you to need a mechanic to change a light globe, thankfully Hubby worked it out). And I got 2 loads washed, 1 dry and changed our sheets. I have cooked dinner, shined my sink and made the menfolks lunches.
Today there will be a quick trip to the shops (for the card), maybe a bunch of flowers too, then home to tackle more washing and the rest of the vaccing.
