Good morning All Sys- how nice to have DS17/18 home for the weekend! Have a fun party! You will be busy but nice to have 4 days off in a row We had a lovely time with DGD she is very cuddly in the morning when she first wakes up...so cute. just for a change we are away for the weekend again. This time for a wedding. We are staying at a farm in Alenandra that some friend own- 3 couple and the wives are sisters. One couple runs 600 acres with gum trees, cows and sheep and they all own the houses together. They don't live here but holiday and spend weekends with one couple coming every Friday to check the place and animals. Such a lovey family with their kids all coming here too. Anyway there are 4 couples here this weekend and the wedding is today in Mansfield. We are having a lot of fun and it doesn't hurt to get the k's up on our car. hope you all Have a Great Weekend too ! , x x

Good Morning Lovely Ladies (and so many here before me this morning, how good is that?)
Yesterday I was in and out alot, kind of achieved/kind of didn't. My morning walk was great 1hr 15mins. Pretty stuffed when I got home. Besides some gentle MR and menu planning not much done.
Then we visited DS21's new flat, and let me tell you there is NOTHING NEW about it. I am guessing the house is well over 100yrs and has all the old features of wide window/door frames, high ceilings, closed in fireplaces, not a square room in the place (odd cut off corners for doorways or where fireplaces have been sealed). It has had dozens of coats of paint over the years and none of them ever finished properly, so looks a little scrappy. It is carpeted and somewhat wall papered. NOT exactly a hovel but not what DS21 is use to. It was cleanish and they are going to clean tonight before move in tomorrow. I may have offended DS21 when I asked how long his lease is, 6mths, so I said start looking for something else in 5 months. It's just drab, small and a little depressing (in my opinion). NO fans or a/c. It does have good security, window locks on all the wooden windows and double lock on the front door. Today they are trying to get some furniture, there is a shop called AMart that does package deals, hopefully nice new furniture will make an improvement.
After DS21 and DD19 went home and I called at the groceries for a few supplies. Then evening was spent making dinner and preparing DH's 'diet' food for today at work. This diet has created a lot of extra work for me with having to prepare his tomorrow food, today.
So today, I need to vac back half of house (still) and do 3 loads of washing, 2 washed already just needs hanging. Trip to Big W to find some clothes racks for DS21 and look at microwave containers. Usual daily routines. I have missed my walk this morning, my heel is giving me hell today, so might jump on the treadmill for a shorter walk. It seems to not hurt as much when I have my joggers on.
Ok so there's my long story, wishing you all a Super Saturday and a Wonderful Weekend.
Judy, travel safe and have a great time at the wedding.
SYS, so glad to hear DS17 is home with you for the weekend. Happy 18th Birthday to him. Enjoy the party and try not to work too hard.
Medusa, I hope you and DD have a lovely day and find fun things to do that don't create any more mess for you to clean up. You could have a special girls video afternoon, with popcorn and snacks maybe and then at least you can sit and rest. Enjoy.
And to all the other lovelies, I hope your weekend goes just as you'd like it to. xoxo
