Good Morning Today DH is at a video game tournament in Woollongong, DD isn't 100% still, so no swimming. A quiet day at home for both of us.  |

Good Morning to all the Lovely Ladies
Enjoying a much needed rainy Saturday at home too. I have over 1/2 a whiz bin full of extra rubbish to throw out this week. Dad's clothes were in an awful state, between chlorine stains from pool work, paint, mold and moth holes and things being plain worn out there is much to be disposed of. I have managed to give the useful things a really good soak and was pleased to get the long term stains out. I think it's a matter of elderly people don't realize they have got something dirty so put it away for another wear, then pick something else next time. I have been told his wife doesn't do washing, so I guess any washing that was done, was done by Dad. I wish I'd known, I'd have let him in on the secret of washing spray and soaking things. Oh well, he has enough I guess and the nursing home will tend to the washing. I have about a storage tubs worth of replacements/summer clothes to swap out. And 2 brand new pairs of shoes, so hopefully this will be enough for him.
I will also have a good bag full for charity, mostly socks, I've never seen so many socks but few decent clothes. I guess we must have given socks for gifts to often lol. I know I had, not sure about brother. There are plenty of 'heart socks' that I've given him over the last few years, so I will give most of the sports socks away. Along with the cook books, he won't need them in a Nursing Home. I will also check if the NH has a video player, otherwise the videos can go to charity as well.
I am expecting Hubby will be home earlier today due to the rain and then I think DS and GF will be here for dinner. DD22 and TNB are planning to come home for the weekend to go out tonight with friends then stay over here. Hoping the weather doesn't put them off coming, it's predicted to be torrential but it pretty mild now at 11am.
Well, off to do a quick 'room by room', place is looking pretty good considering the busy few weeks. I got the vaccing done late last week and I have the washing pretty up to date expecting the wet weather. Wishing you all a Superb Saturday and a Wonderful Weekend xo
