Good Morning Lovely Ladies
Yesterday was a pretty good day. DH day off, so got the yard clean up and we have nice clean cars (for the moment). DH has put together the single bed into the spare room and I've rehung the curtains. Just need to vac mattress and make the bed.
Today it's Heigh Ho Heigh Ho for me. Bare essentials today only. What's for Dinner? Roast Turkey Breast with Veg. Don't think I'll get my walk in this morning, so I'll 'schedule' it for the arvo.
Wishing you all a Terrific Tuesday.

Hi Everyone Shell- you’ve had a busy weekend. So is DS21 the messy, noisiest one?You will notice a difference in family dynamics. The biggest difference for me was DS27 as he always had so much washing. Then DS20 as he always left it to the last minute to tell me if he and his DGF were home for dinner. The novelty of being an empty nester hasn’t worn off yet after 3 weeks lol Sys- good luck with your property inspection, although you probably won’t need it as you sound so organized! Elasti- I have done anything in the ZONE for a couple of weeks so hopefully I will later this week. Medusa- have a good day! Dr Sarah- I too am working 4 days this week -its hard to fit in what needs doing at home! Yesterday I went for a walk after work -Yay! Finally! and then we went to DHsDSs for dinner with all his siblings as it would have been his DMs 90th birthday Today Dh is back to work after 4 weeks off and is a work day for me and after my walk! and dinner we are going to the local theatre with Dfs. We have yearly tickets and it always seems to fall in my busiest week! Ive taken out some L/O roast pork and will make a gravy and veggies for dinner
Hope you All have a Great day!! x x

Going to the cake decorating shop to pick up what I will need for DD's cake (because it is on my mind, still plenty of time), pick up Dfriend's laundry to do, housework...... Hey Judy,
I don't know if I will notice the difference much. DS21 is very quiet. He has been doing his own washing and ironing for nearly 2 years (after quite a showdown between us). Kids are too old to fight so noise level won't change.
He was the one who put the rubbish/bins out (when requested) so I guess I'll miss that and he was always good for 'can you duck to the show and get.....', or 'pop over and pick your sister up from......' so DD19 will have to pick up the slack there.

<sigh> Don't know about a terrific Tuesday - got so much to do I'm feeling stressed out just thinking about it all!
Empty dishwasher Order repeat prescriptions online Get kids up & off to school Take back library books Clean out/bag up old nappy bins (ready for my husband to pass on to a work colleague) Empty house bins Empty recycling bin Empty kitchen bin 10 mins on exercise bike Vacuum & mop kitchen floor Shower Shopping Finish work letters Any results/incoming mail from work Draw up list of diabetic patients at care home Figure out who's due for review next at care home Phone probably about a million places trying to find holiday childcare for children Phone school nurse Pick kids up from school on time Get packed lunches made for tomorrow Get dinner on
And then there's still the list of stuff I wrote out on Monday - educational modules to do, the ironing, e-learning modules - oh, and I found out I'd completely missed a page of the e-learning modules I'm meant to do for work, so there was I thinking at least I'd got down to only two left when in fact it's something like seven.
I know I just have to keep plugging away, but... right now, it's overwhelming. I'm going to spend the whole day doing stuff and still have a massive list of stuff at the end of it, and no prospect of any time to really catch up any time in the immediate future, either.
Oh, well - I feel better for just having vented, so thanks for being here, you guys! I'll plug away at it, I'll make a bit of time for myself because I deserve it, and I'll remind myself how good it is to at least have so many of my other things from my to-do list done with, thanks to all the great work I put in so far this year. Happy Tuesday to all of you!

Happy Tuesday to all of you! Deep breath DrSarah, you can do this.
When my list is long I tend to group things together, prioritize most to least important, then hit the tasks room by room. Then you will know once that room is done, you don't have to think about it again until tomorrow.

Hooray! I found childcare! I FOUND childcare! I can't tell you what a weight off my mind this is!
Thank you so much for your kind words! Shellie, very wise - what was really stressing me out most was the prospect of having to keep phoning people about childcare, because it's so unpredictable when you get to the end of that job. I mean, it's possible to spend two hours phoning people and be no further forward. If you spend that time cleaning or decluttering - well, it's a pain, but at least at the end of it you can look at all the stuff you've accomplished. The prospect of spending all that time getting nowhere, plus all the usual boring jobs I have on a Tuesday, plus all the other stuff, was just overwhelming. Well, thank goodness that problem's sorted out!
Anyway, after writing that I got the kids ready, dropped them off, and got my head down and rocked today like the Goddess of Rocking Socks:
Empty dishwasher Order repeat prescriptions online Get kids up & off to school Take back library books Clean out/bag up old nappy bins (ready for my husband to pass on to a work colleague) Empty house bins Empty recycling bin Empty kitchen bin 10 mins on exercise bike Vacuum & mop kitchen floor Shower Shopping Finish work letters Any results/incoming mail from work Draw up list of diabetic patients at care home Figure out who's due for review next at care home
Phone probably about a million places trying to find holiday childcare for children Phone school nurse
Pick kids up from school on time Get packed lunches made for tomorrow Get dinner on
So I'll try to get the work stuff finished later on. Thanks again!

OK - took me a while, but I've finally caught up with all letters at work *and* drawn up the list of diabetic patients. So, another job done! (Of course, by tomorrow I'll be behind again because that's what always happens, but it still feels good to be caught up for the time being.)
Husband is going to phone school nurse. For the rest, I'll just keep on plugging. Sorting out childcare and catching up at work makes a really big difference; I'll just keep going and it'll all get done in the end one way or another!
(Funnily enough, in the end this turned out to be a really good day. Got childcare sorted, got some books I wanted from the library, and it feels good to have the nappy bins dealt with and ready to pass on as not only is that job done but that phase of my *life* is done. Hooray! I actually inhaled the nappy bin smell on purpose while I was cleaning them, just to enjoy the knowledge that I wouldn't have to deal with them any more!)
