Two quick things... 1. If you haven't walked much before, some of your fat loss, may indeed be replaced with muscle. This in the end, will help you lose more weight due to increased metabolism...don't feel too disheartened. Do your clothes fit any differently? 2. As a nearly Naturopath, I'm happy to look at your food journal and make some suggestions if you like. Its a minefield out there...so many things that are pushed on us as "healthy" actually should be banned from production in my opinion!!! PM me if you like. Cheers Thanks so much Rochelle. I might take you up on that offer soon. I was reviewing myself last night and I could see some issues. Just wasted calories. I am trying to do it as 'gently' as possible. I don't expect to lose 'biggest loser' numbers each week, that would not be sustainable and those people don't have ANYTHING else to do but lose weight. I'd be happy with .5 - 1 kilo a week, so I just need to cut food (or add exercise) about 500cals a day +/- for that to happen.
See that's one of my greatest frustrations, I know it's just simple maths, I am just not good at maths apparently lol

Wow Shellie- well done! I went for a nice walk today. Had to -was with 7 other people haha. We went up a very steep hill and I wasn't the unfittest there - yeah I was surprised too! I really enjoyed the walk- yes we were on a lovely farm in Alexandra with gorgeous views and mountains all around but I'm hoping it will get me started to do more walking at home. We live in a lovely semi rural area too! Tomorrow we are going to DSIL and DBILs for dinner so I'd have to go before work. Also had a bit of rain at home over the weekend while we were away so may rain again tomorrow but that shouldn't stop me I have a lightweight rain coat You are such an inspiration Shell!! X

Glad to see you out for that walk. I reckon having company really makes the difference. Over the school hols DD15 and I had some fun walks. I'm too slow for DH (him and his freakishly long man legs), so now I just put the radio on my IPhone and chuckle away at Jules and Sophie.

1/4/14 - Missed today. Work day instead. Stuck with the diet so that's a step in the right direction 2/4/14 - Treadmill 30mins - 200cals burned 3/4/14 - Missed today. Still not back to walking yet but we are still following the Dukan Diet and 'cruising' along well. Planning to get back to more walking. Going to try to do 5/7 days a week. Just too rushed on work days. Foot is just going to have to put up with it or get better. Enough time wasted.

I have set a June goal to lose 5Kgs. It's a push as I lost 4.4kgs in May and only 3.6kgs in April, but I'm hoping with some more consistent exercise I can do this.
