Here I am in the middle of September, every Monday brings new motivation and determination, now if only every day was Monday. The rest of the days of the week bring challenges/temptations and slip ups. Oh well, onwards and downwards.

Monday 15/9/14 (PP Day) Busy Day/Dentist Day B- Coffee S- Vanilla Yoghurt L- S- Vanilla Yoghurt D- Turkey Rissole, Philly, Sweet Chilli Sauce, Bacardi & Diet Coke S- Red Wine, Coffee
Tuesday 16/9/14 (PV DAY) Had quite a drop overnight after light eating day yesterday. B- Coffee x 2 S- Vanilla Yoghurt L- Chicken Breast, salad (lettuce, tomato, carrot, zucchini), Philly Cheese, Diet Coke S- Coffee D- Dukan Nearly Chilli Con Carne on Roasted Turnip with morMoroccan spice and FF Greek Yoghurt, S- Barcardi & Diet coke x a few
Wednesday 17/9/14 (PP Day) I need to remember Tuesday's menu, I've had another good drop overnight - YAY!! B- Coffee S- L- Lean Pork Chop, S&P Squid S- Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich, Skim Cap D- Lean Pork Chop, S&P Squid, Sml piece of KFC S-

Woohoo Shellie! That loss is fantastic! Don't beat yourself up, you're doing such an amazing job so far. I admire that you can have a slip up, then get straight back on the horse. When I slip up, the horse does the bolt. I'm so proud of you!
Well at this morning's weigh in I've lost 400gr this week. I'll take that! I've done a big grocery shop this morning, put it away & I'm taking a break to post & have a coffee. I'm planning to make Monday 'food day' - shopping & prepping mostly for myself. I figure that half of the day is taken up already with buying the food, I might as well use the rest of it to wash/portion/cook some of it. I'll decide tonight's dinner when I get into it. P.S. Shellie thank you for posting what your meals are, it helps me with ideas

Thursday 18/9/14 B: cup of tea, 3 mini quiche muffins L: tuna & salad D: DH is making pizza - I've thought a lot about this & here's where I'm at - I've decided to top mine with lots of meats & veg, eat it, enjoy it & move on S: 2 coffees, Atkins coconut chocolate bar, handful of macadamias Exercise: none
Friday 19/9/14 B: cup of tea, eggs & bacon L: tuna & salad D: chicken & a few green beans S: 2 coffees, macadamias, yogurt jelly Exercise: 20 min walk
Saturday 20/9/14 B: 2 cups of tea, eggs L: tuna & salad D: quiche S:3 coffees, yogurt jelly Exercise: none- feeling sick
Sunday 21/9/14 B: 2 cups of tea, quiche, grilled tomato & bacon L:tuna & salad D:was going to be steak but DH came home & insisted on making pizza, now in hindsight I should have let him & DD have that & I should have eaten something else - I caved unfortunately, no excuses S: 2 coffees, yogurt jelly Exercise:
Everyday drinking lots of water and a can of pepsi max usually

Hi Girls well I lost .8kg this week so i am very happy with that. 2.6kg since i got back. I only had one meal out and had 2 wines and a couple of days I had a small handfulof peanuts when starving, otherwise ive stuck to Dukan very well. I do keep it very simple with yogurt and oatbran or dukan bread, eggs, chicken,beef and fish and sometimes konjac noodles. I also have smoked salmon and lite ham on PP days.I do intend to buy the carton of egg whites to make Shellies mini egg quiches. Im not off to a good start this week as my Girlfrirnds DD has opened a cafe. I stopped in on my way to work and bought a small (expensive) pkt of lemon, macadamia biscuits to share at work- only 4 here today. I will definately go on the treadmill tonight. I only did it twice last week Thanks for all your encouragement ladies. its so good to do this with you and be motivated by your terrific results!! x x

Way To Go Judy! That's awesome work! You can do this. I'm going to make Shellie's mini quiches too but I'm going to live on the edge & go with full egg yolk.

y es it had eggs and then more egg white but I couldn’t find them at my Woolies ( we have brand new one in my little town ) I found whole eggs in a powdered form in the fridge section but not egg whites. Oh well, ill just use an extra egg

Hello girls, here we are all motivated and moving downwards at the same time. Go Us!!!!
Yesterday I didn't eat much between being busy, then anxious about the dentist turned me off and then having a numb mouth for about 4 hours after, so scales were kind this morning. I know it's not really a true reading though, so not logging it here.
I was reading and saw an item on Sunrise about the 5:2 fasting diet. I need to read more but basically it's 5 days of normal eating and then 2 of 'fasting' eating 500cals only. It is supposed to speed up metabolism and mimic times when food wasn't always bountiful. I need to read more to see if the 2 'fasting' days need to be in a row. I am thinking of trying to incorporate this with Dukan. Some days our calories are really low anyway depending on choices of course. I feel my weekly weight loss has slowed, which is to be expected as the body weight drops so I'd like to give it a kick start again. I will do more research. I don't think I'd have too much trouble with it, especially if I picked those really busy days like yesterday to 'fast' on.
Keep up the awesome work ladies, we will have our 'bikini bodies' by summer

lol my reaction- I saw the 5:2 diet on I think it was 60 minutes? You might as well try it Shellie - It might help give you a boost through a plateau.
I did pretty well yesterday, I made the mini quiches, they'll be good to have as snacks or a quick breakfast, zapped in the microwave. I added some leftover onion & they were yummy. I think I'll double the batch & the bacon next time to make a week's worth. DH hard boiled some eggs when he got home last night from work. I'm not sure about what's for dinner tonight yet.

It can be hard eating so much meat but when you cant try eating a 'fattier' protein like salmon. I would have thought I was eating enough. I don't really get 'hungry', 'bored' yes but not hungry.
Breakfasts are mostly Coffee and Yoghurt, but then that's more than in the past which was just coffee
Lunches, they vary, today was a chicken breast with a herb rub and a large plate of salad (tomato/lettuce/grated carrot/zucchini, philly cheese), but other days could be maybe 100g of Deli Chicken with Philly Cheese spread on, so maybe not those days.
Dinners are usually good. On PP Days I try to have 2 types of protein, so either Beef & Prawns or Chicken & Calamari (not usually crumbed), or Salmon & Prawns, White Fish & Prawn Cutlets (yes these are crumbed). Try to stop it from getting boring
Probably my worst thing atm is drinking, I know I know it's not allowed, but some days I have just needed it. That sounds bad. Just needing to unwind a little. So I guess when I am making such a blatant break of the rules, I guess I have to face the consequences. And should consider myself very lucky to be losing anything
I guess I was thinking 5:2 might boost my results given that strict Dukan is not exactly what I am doing anymore

Shellie, I understand completely, if you can't do Dukan properly you're not going to lose the weight you've been losing. I've looked into 5 and 2 as well thinking I'd do that wheni got sick of Dukan. DH has lost all his holiday weight and more. I still have a couple of kgs to go and then 2 more til goal weight So now he's 'cheating'- drives me nuts! For tonight's dinner he's made venison schnitzels(crumbed), and he's making a new potato recipe grrrrr. He's also bought apple/pear juice to put thru the soda stream- no John too much sugar, grrr he bought 3 packets of fetticini last week - we only ever have that once in 3 weeks if that. Today I asked him to get milk while out and he also got 3 pkts cous-cous. I'm so mad at him. I'm so tempted to go out and buy a big pkt of Marvellous chocolate and eat it in front of him and say well he's ruining my diets anyway ( I won't really but it would get my point across!) ggrrrr

You know the potato (or not potato) is not bothering me in the slightest. I just cook parsnip/turnip or suede instead. And my fav vegetable is pumpkin anyway.
What I can't resist is the drink. Not in a '12 step way' but at end of day it's just nice to have a glass or 2 and unwind (and no not every night). But I've decided that I've been doing Dukan for 6months so if a need a glass or 2 a few nights a week, I'm happy to accept a smaller weight loss. The pasta doesn't bother me anymore either, I just shred and steam some cabbage instead and have with the sauce (usually bolognaise that I make to suit me anyway)
Stick with it and get to goal, you are so close.

Shellie a glass of wine isn't bad, you still need to have a life you enjoy. It's drinking the whole bottle that would cause a rebound problem.

Not enough exercise though, I would have liked to do more, I just need to get all my ducks in a row, but that'll come in time. Babysteps. The food is the main thing I'm concentrating on right now. I think you have hit the nail on the head with 'The food is the main thing I'm concentrating on right now.", I am slowly figuring that out, that the food (sticking to the diet plan) is KEY, the 30mins walk a day, well to be honest burns hardly any calories but it does keep the body moving.
