Went to the Dr today. My old (not so) friend, 'white coat syndrome' felt really strong. BUT, Dr said my BP had 'never been better' in front of him. I am guessing that the weight loss and exercise has helped it out a lot. So onwards and downwards

Hi Shellie We all have times where we fall off the wagon -good to see you are back on it again I have 6 kilos to loose after our holiday (again-grr!) Im back doing Dukan. DH and I have been doing it since Monday and I’ve lost 1.4kg since then. Im not going to write all my meals here as Im using My Fitness Pal app and enter all i eat thee and just dont have the time to do it twice. I dont do all the cooking/baking you do, I just keep it pretty basic. DH made the bread this week. Ive just set up the treadmill in my spare room. Don’t know how Ill go with my arthritis in my feet but hasn’t bothered me for about 18 months so ill start taking it slowly (not because the exercise will probably kill me ) Keep up all your good work! x

Hi Girls, Like Judy said we all fall off the wagon - I have big time. I've been in a sugar/carb/not caring/too hard fog for too long, pretending everything is ok with me when it's not. I want to be healthy. After a couple of days of self-reflection (for lack of a better word) I've decided to jump back on the wagon.
My DH is completely NOT ON BOARD with anything weight/health related & tends to sabotage me even while proclaiming good intentions. So I need to work on shutting that out. I'm not calling it a diet either, that puts me in a bad, perfectionistic mindset. I mess up once & it's all over red rover. I'm going to say lifestyle changes. I'll do some things differently - not Dukan strictly speaking but my modified version of it. Something like 'low carb Elasti style'.
Also I have my rheumatoid to consider. My overall health is dodgy at best & I'm the only one that understands it & can take care of it. I've been thinking about my mum's allergies & how she deals day to day with food choices so I'm going to take that approach. When she's here I'm extremely protective of buying & cooking what's right for her, why can't I give myself the same consideration? I don't know for sure but possibly it's just plain hard work to be 'on' all the time. I just felt I needed to say where I'm at. So today I need to take stock of the fridge & pantry, make a food & cooking plan for the next couple of days & do some exercise when DH gets home from work. I can do this. Ready to FLY

Hey Hun, we don't need these men to be on board. My DH has fallen off the wagon himself, but he has reached his goal so he's happy. He doesn't seem to be doing anything too much to sabotage but has absolutely done that in the past. I'm not even sure he meant to, just doesn't think. I can't tell you the number of Mother's Days that I've been on a diet, probably all of them to be honest (21 of them) and every year he said "Don't worry about lunch, my treat, and them went and bought KFC ) except for this year when he was on a diet. Then he cooked a BBQ and DD's did the salads. But I think it was mostly because HE was on a diet and was highly motivated to keep losing.
Now a days he has
B - No Fat Vanilla Yoghurt, Skim Hot Choc from work machine (Saturdays is an Egg/Bacon W'meal Roll at work) S- 1st piece of fruit L - Leftover meal from night before (that I prep while serving dinner) S- 2nd piece of fruit D - Is Dukan friendly protein (or meat dish) with veg and then the carb the kids have (rice/pasta/potato) S- Skinny Cow Ice Cream or Dukan Cake with Skinny Cow Plus he has Wild Turkey with Diet Coke probably 5/7 nights a week, only 1 or 2 most day but Saturday is a few more at golf too. So far this is working for him. He got new size clothes for Dad's Day today and has packed up his 'fat' clothes (but I won't donate them as we have done this before and had to buy new 'fat clothes' again)
As far as your plan, 'whatever works, then do it' I say. For now 'DUKAN' is the concept I'm following (red wine is on the 'Allowed Food List' RIGHT!!!!!!). I'm still doing PV/PP day turnabout, but having the odd thing not on the plan. I am still losing slowly or maintaining (although there was the gain in August that we won't speak about anymore lol).
We will support each other to get this done, to feel the best you, you can feel, whatever it takes. I will always be so grateful to you and Judy for mentioning Dukan so often and finally giving me the motivation to do it.

Hi Shellie- omg my DH does exactly the same thing - 'the junk food treat' - he glosses it with 'I thought you might like it' or 'it saves you cooking a meal' (which I feel is putting it back on me. I've told him as much & he somehow manages to turn it into 'I'm only trying to help you') When really it's only because he wants to eat it. Grrr. I know that sounds awful - I really do have a great husband but the FOOD ISSUE. I mean seriously. If you really want to help me buy me a diamond or a Payless Shoes gift card or something. Jeez.
I digress. Today was okay, not a whole lot done on the cleaning front but I was busy with planning some very important things. And poor DS has another cold, so very mopey today. Food wise was okay too: the last bowl of a totally addictive cereal that DH bought me ham, pepperoni, cheese & salad 2 coffees 2 sugar free lollies 1 litre+ of water
Dinner will be roast chicken & veg, no potatoes for me & when DH gets home around 5.30 I'll go for a 20 minute walk. xo

I think that's one of the reasons I love our FLYing group, we really are all the same. Can't really talk about these things at a mixed company BBQ where the men are around to hear, lol.
I had a 'good' food day (PP Day), not even a glass of wine , but no exercise today. Got a couple of loads washed, dry & folded. And spent the day giving DMum her dose of TLC and pampered DH a little for Fathers Day.
Don't think there will be much movement on the scales tomorrow (weigh in day), but it won't be going up either (I hope)

Hi Ladies Im also doing a weekly Monday weigh-in here. Last week I ate well on Dukan. I did have a wine or 2 on days when a DF came for dinner and brought some, a lunch with the DGFs -honestly they’d think I was dying, or worse…pregnant if i didn’t have a bubbly with them and Fathers day i had one or two. Those 3 occasions I did PV days and made good choices. The results were good as I lost 1.8kg- I know its the first week and you do lose a lot but its very encouraging. So today and tomorrow Im doing PP and Wednesday will be PV ( I think my DM and DSF are coming over} Also tonight I will start with a little time in the treadmill- I dont want to overdo it but start gradually- bit worried about the arthritis in my feet I had when I did so much walking in the UK 2 years ago. Its not flared up since so i should be fine So hope you guys are traveling well too!!

Well done Judy!
I'm doing weigh ins once a week now too, otherwise I get too obsessive about it. I did it yesterday for the first time in ages - definately wasn't pretty but not as bad as I'd imagined. It just means more work to do.
I went for a really brisk 20 minute walk last night after DH got home, it was a bit dark about halfway through so until the days get longer I'll keep it to 10-15 minutes.
Today I'd like to have a look in my wardrobe & see where it's at for Spring/Summer & I'll probably put some warmer things into storage & clear a bit of space. I like the idea of a capsule wardrobe but that might be something to do down the track.
Since I'm not grocery shopping today (DS is sick) & I'm almost out of a few things, dinner will be winging it.
Monday: B: bacon, eggs & a shake L: D:

Woohoo Shellie! WTG! As you know I've been sick for a few days, although feeling a bit better today. I've been living on vegemite toast & cups of tea, not great for me for weight loss, so nothing to report, but I'm taking it one day at a time & taking proper care of me for once.

Hi Girls, Now that I feel better, I've written a big list ready for tomorrow's grocery shop & I have a rough plan for my meals, breakfast pretty much everyday will be this, lunch will be that, etc, IYKWIM. I'm thinking the simpler the better.
I've worked out where the gaps are in my wardrobe (more like ravines tbh) so I'm using that sad state of affairs in the wardrobe & shopping for clothes as motivation. I've got a few tricks to keep myself busy & will focus more on taking care of me.
I don't expect anything fantastic on the scales after having a cold last week but I'm ready for weigh in tomorrow.
