So here I am, another Monday Morning with new and fresh intentions. No loss this week, which just exposes all my 'miss's' last week. I need to stop 'frigging' around and just get this job done. I am so close to my 2014 goal and my plan was to have it done by end of Sept or Oct and to have moved onto the next goal. I think I have 'stupidly' decided that I have Dukan in my back pocket so can stray from plan and 'go back' when needed. Well that's well and good if I actually get to goal. NO MORE mucking around!!!!!!!
So AGAIN, with renewed commitment and determination (I am seeing a group of friends in 4 weeks that I haven't seen since I started Dukan) I am going to 'straighten up and fly right' on the Dukan Plan.
NO MORE - Red Wine (for the next month) NO MORE - Missing the Oat Bran - it's important NO MORE - Lamb (I think I will still have the occasionally LEAN Pork as there is heaps in the freezer) NO MORE - Sneaking a piece of bread or a cookie or a cracker or a Pringle NO MORE - Missing my 1.5 ltrs of water per day (and substituting with Diet Coke) NO MORE - Taste of Not 'Allowed Foods' to make sure they are ok for others NO MORE - Excuses for not getting my 30mins Walking a day
So with that list, you can see why the scales were not kind this week. Onwards and Downwards from here.....

Hi Girls WTG Elasti! You must have been so good all week for that result! Shellie- love your attitude of moving on with more determination I ate really well all week (Next weekend is going to be a difficult one! ) the scales didn’t change much until this morning. Probably because I did get on the treadmill yesterday- i need Shellie’s determination here So I lost -6kg this week and total is 3.2kg PP today and tomorrow and meals all planned

Just 3 hours later and my 'plans' have changed. DH has suggested lunch out, which is nice but kind of ruins my PP Day. So swapping for a PV Day then having a 3 day PP "BLITZ" for Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. Wanting to kick things back into motion.

Yesterday I was mucking about in the kitchen when I made my yogurt jelly pudding thing & I melted a low carb chocolate bar in a little dish with some smooth peanut butter & threw in a few macadamias. Weirdly, it smells like a Snickers bar. After a while of chilling it in the fridge, I broke it into about 4 pieces so it'll be nice for when the sweets craving hits.

Sounds AWESOME, but a little too tempting for me, lol.
DD16 actually 'cleaned up my environment' yesterday. I had it all cleared out when we started Dukan but with DD16 sick with Glandular Fever and me needing to tempt her to eat again, then having DMum here and needing to be 'feed up' and then DD20 with her cold and her make me feel better cravings, all the crap had crept back into the house. So DD16 took a zip up shopping cooler back, and bagged up everything 'naughty', even the Peanut Butter (a real weakness of mine) and has put it in her room. She also checked the cereal (another weakness) and chucked anything stale and put the rest to the back of the pantry out of my sight line. And true to character, at about 11.30 last night, in my usual insomniac night sweat, I was prowling the pantry. AND there was nothing in there and I couldn't go into her room and disturb her to get something out of the naughty bag. I grabbed a few slices of Ham and a drink of Chocolate Skim Milk and took myself back off to bed, NOT having broken any rules. I am hopeless after dark. Very well behaved throughout the day, but after everyone has gone to bed, I can get really naughty. I need supervision. I am very grateful to DD16 for helping me out. I just hope she can resist going into the bag too often herself.

Oh Shellie- I am just like you and cannot have anything in the house! I have no will power! Today there was an afternoon tea at work. i made sure I ate a good lunch and brought a can of diet coke to sip so i wouldn’t eat. Everybody got given a glass of champagne as they walked in the lunchroom and one of the girls had brought me and my colleague something to ‘taste test’ before hand. Im just no good at being firm and saying no when actually handed something. I have no excuse for the second glass of champagne tho or the extras i ate, but once I break the diet its easier to eat a bit more. I had a small turkey roast for dinner and nothing else and now I’m off to the punishment room (the one with the treadmill! ) so hopefully I’m back on track until friday- lunch out with DH and my girls for DDnearly25s birthday

It is with much reluctance that i post in here today I have put on 1.2kg this week I lost .2 Tues put on .6 on wed (after work party for Boss's retirement, stayed the same Thur, Fri, Sat and put on .4 on sun (after dinner at DSis) and put on .4 this morning (after dinner at La Porcetta last night) So what have I learnt from this…dont ever go out haha Work party- I did the right thing and had lunch and brought a can of diet coke for party- probably should’ve opened it haha- I was given a wine but should not have had the 2nd I could’ve made a better choice at La Porchettas- they had salads on the menu I thought I did well at my DSis -didn’t have 2nds. I did have 2 wines and then a baileys at about 1am-probably shouldny have stayed so late haha oh and I only got on the treadmill once .. i honesty just forget its there. Maybe put it on my to do list and actually print that list?!
Oh well a new week and its probably better to post here what I actually eat
MONDAY -PP B- coffee S-yogurt L- Dukan bread with tuna S- salmon with Philly cheese D- chicken soup with egg, chicken We had mussels instead

FRIDAY-PP changed to PV B- coffee, yogurt L-Dukan bread and tuna S-half a biscuit D- mashed pumpkin/sweet potato ( I know... but DH bought 4 ) with spinach, onion, bacon and egg
SATURDAY we are going out wine tasting today and to a winery for lunch, then a grazing platter for dinner- cheese, crackers etc etc..this will not be good. Ill be the driver -that way I can’t drink too much but I will have a bubbly at Chandon!!! Do I have to weigh in on Monday?? -Fridays look so much better!!

Hi Girls, where have you been this week?? So today Im pleased to announce that Ive lost a kilo this week, even with going out all day Saturday and having a grazing platter all evening/night for dinner on Saturday. I went on the treadmill once that i can remember -last night- maybe I did earlier in the week when I was disgusted with last Mondays weigh-in??
Week 5 lost 1kg Total 3kg
MONDAY- PV B-coffee S-yogurt L- chicken, boiled egg S- lite ham. lite, no sugar added ice-cream D-steak, fried egg
TUESDAY- err PV and carbs B-yogurt L-pumpkin soup S- D-chicken fetticini, Dessert being brought by DFs ONE WINE

THURSDAY B-coffee L-chicken, fried edd on dukan bread-no chicken ate that for dinner S- yogurt and far too many jellybeans-(not even mine) apparently its good to keep them in my bottom drawer at work out of everyone else’s way D- fish and? Chicken and cold sausage

Hi Girls, I'm still here, well I am maintaining (still 23kgs gone). And at the moment that is so much better than gaining, which I am surprised I haven't. Today DMum is going home. I am hoping that I can start dedicating some more time back to ME!!! 2014 was supposed to be 'all about ME' as selfish as it sounds, but I have NEVER EVER made myself the top of my list and this year I decided I had to in order to get this done. But between DD16's Glandular Fever and DMum's month of illness I just haven't been doing right by myself. And the house has been filled with food to tempt the unwell, that is also tempting to me. Plus I tend to be an emotional eater. Doesn't seem to matter which emotion, happy, sad, mad or content, I had a pretty good handle on this early on, but it has slipped some lately. So with renewed resolve (that usually is born on a Monday) I am going to log Food and Exercise again.
Monday 6/10/14 (PP Day) 12 days until I see my friends
B- Coffee S-Skim Cap L- BBQ - Steak, Turkey Sausage, Egg, Bacon, Chicken Kebab (I am stuffed), Diet Coke S- Red Wine D- Leftover BBQ, Red Wine S- DeCafe coffee, Lite Milk & Dorito's Exercise - 30min walk with DH So I started out strong but fell over at days end. Just really 'needed' those couple of glasses of red. And then the Dorito's were calling my name and the resolve was weak. Need to stay away from the wine, it weakens my determination too much but it really does help me relax
Tuesday 7/10/14 (PV Day) 11 days B- Coffee x2 S- L- Turkey Sausages, Cottage Cheese, Gherkin Spread, Deli Chicken, Philly Cheese S- Coffee, Skinny Cow Ice Cream Sandwich D- Lamb Kofta, Salad, 1/2 serve Dukan 'wrap' (trying Micro bread in round container), Tablespoon Lite Cheese, Greek Yoghurt S- DeCafe Coffee, Skim Choc Milk, 1/2 serve Dukan Wrap with Vegimite, ProActive, Tablespoon Lite Cheese Exercise - Not today The Micro Dukan 'Wrap' worked well. On a clean micro plate, lined with baking paper, pour 1/2 Micro Bread mix on Baking Paper and rotate and tip to spread thinly in a circle. Cook for about 3min 30secs. Consistency and 'rollability' depends of thickness and cooking time. But taste was great
Wednesday 8/10/14 (PP Day) 10 days B- Coffee, Vanilla Yoghurt S- Deli Chicken & Turkey, DARE Ice Coffee (1% fat) L- Grilled Salmon and Garlic Prawns S- Dukan Micro 'wrap' with sprinkle of Parmesan Cheese and scraping of Vegimite D- Baked Chicken Pieces, Garlic Prawns S- Diet Jelly, Vanilla Yoghurt Exercise - And again, not today Trying to get back to basics a bit more. I think I have pushed the boundaries a little to far with somethings like Lamb. Pork and the Skinny Cow Ice Cream (as a rare treat, ok, but I think I'm choosing it too often). I just keep finding Pork and Lamb bargains at the meat section ;-|and not cheap beef. Hoping the Dukan Micro 'wrap' with Vegimite will quieten the savory cravings. And made the 1st Diet Jelly in ages. Need to push the water more and I haven't been regular on the Oat Bran (although I have been regular (rofl)TMI).

Friday 10/10/14 (PP Day) 8 days B- Coffee, Vanilla Yoghurt S- L/O Turkey Meatballs, Cream Cheese & Pumpkin (I couldn't resist that 1 little piece) L- Deli Turkey/Chicken with Gherkin Relish S- Grilled Salmon D- Slow Roasted Roast Beef OMG YUM) with Garlic Marinara Mix S- Diet Jelly, Skinny Cow Ice Cream, DeCafe Coffee, Handful of Coco Pops (I needed the crunch) Exercise - None today I seem a little more focused today. Less 'boredom'(emotional) eating. I went meat shopping today and got several beef bargains, Rib Roast and 2 Scotch Fillet Roasts, and after tonights 'slow roast' I am planning to cook the others this same way, so tender and yum.

Bacardi & Diet Coke S- DeCafe Coffee Exercise - Nope I really need to kick this Bacardi/Red Wind habit. I am 'good' all day with the diet, good choices and then I 'unwind' with a drink and all sense and resolve goes out the window. I am really starting to think this is my actual undoing. The 1st 4-5months I didn't (WE didn't) have a single drink and we were going great guns, losing each week. Now that DH is maintaining he has a drink or 2 most nights after work and I join him. He is not even always offering it to me, I just decide, 'yeah, why not'. Well I think there is a very good reason 'why not?'. Tomorrow we are going to DBinlaws, and this can lead to me wanting to have a big drink when I get home, so we will see what happens. Sunday 12/10/14 (PP Day) 6 days B- Coffee, Vanilla Yoghurt S- L- L/O Slow Roasted Beef, Grilled Garlic Seafood, Chicken thighs S- Fresh prawns, diet coke, coffee D- Chicken Kebabs, Turkey Sausage, Philly, Bacardi & Diet Coke S- Coffee Exercise- nope Well, today we went to the in-laws. 22kgs lost and not one, NOT ONE, person commented. Not surprised really, they are like that. BUT I'd like to thank them for my renewed resolve to kick these kilo's to the kerb. If they are going to ignore my weight loss, then I sure as hell will give them something to ignore!!!!!!!

As for me - yikes. Long story short, too much veg/salad & no carbs has really been giving me grief, feeling pretty sick & headaches, so I started eating bread & crackers again. I've had other problems (side effects) with my arthritis meds lately as well, & lacking motivation to exercise, so it's not working all round. I'm frustrated & tempted to just give up. In other words - complete trainwreck here & I just don't know what to do. Life shouldn't be this hard. Seriously. (I just wanted to fill you both in on where I'm at.)

I read this when you posted but I just didn't have the words to reply. I was feeling a little 'trainwreck' myself to be honest.
Yesterday I seem to have gotten myself back on the tracks and my head cleared a little. Trying to go back to the basics that have been proven to work. Now DH is maintaining and kind of doing his own thing, I can be more simplistic with the cooking again and hopefully not have so many opportunities to bend the rules and cross the line. I have got the food environment much cleaned up now, thanks to a shopping bag 'hidden' in DD16's room and sending a bunch of stuff home with DMum, so there are many less temptations. Now I just need to plan ahead again. Chin up Elasti, we know this works. Please remember that YOU were my inspiration to get started on this. You know you can do it, you just need to get your head in the right place. Imagine getting to the end of October and being another 2,3,4,5,6 kgs lights. Honestly after the last few months I think I'd be happy with any of those numbers xoxo

Oh Elasti- sorry to hear the diet is making you feel unwell. have you looked at the 5 and 2 diet? Ive talked to may people with good results and when DH goes to maintenance and then leaves me to cope on my own i thought Id find it easier to do that- big hugs!! xx

Sunday 12/10/14 (PP day) B: oatbran porridge, tea L: crustless quiche D: lamb chops S: coffee, a couple of bites of sugar free chocolate snack I made, tsp peanut butter & some almonds Exercise: 15 minute walk
I just realised that I'm not fully PP with the almonds, etc that I've had. Hopefully it won't be anything major tomorrow on weigh in.
