Shellie- you sound like you are determined to give this a go! Doesn’t work for everyone. One of my friends couldn’t stand all the meat-she doesn’t eat canned fish at all and hasn’t eaten a roast chicken since she tried Dukan lol Ive lost 2.2 ks this week- didn’t lose or gain anything this morning but thats ok Today we are doing a PP day
Brunch- (guess who had a big sleep in?) Dukan bread with philly cheese and vegemite on half, the other half with fried egg
i will also have yogurt this afternoon and some smoked salmon with phlly cheese for a snack
dinner - seafood mix with a little green curry paste and some yogurt mixed in Steak
Ive had 2 coffees, will probably have 2 more plus a diet coke (gotta have that sugar taste somewhere!)
Tomorrow we are going to a bbq lunch so Ill have a fruit/vegetable smoothie ( I know no fruit but we are trying this as we’ve had this for breakfast for the last month or so) for breakfast. At the BBQ i will have more salad than meat and NO bread! I will also allow myself ONE wine! Dinner will probably be out and maybe with DFs. If it is at our DFs we will eat what they serve up and try to make best choices i.e. ONE wine etc
I have to say that yesterday at work when some really good quality chocolates got passed around I DID NOT have one- this is not what i would’ve done in the last i dont know how long!

DUKAN Diet Start Date 21st Feb, 2014 1st attempt to cook a DUKAN Pancake with prawns. OMGoodness, I think it tastes ok, but it looks more like oatmeal and prawns. There was no form to the pancake. But I will persist. ![:-/](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/undecided.png)
Is there a limit to the amounts for each meal?
Is it 5 small meals per day?

I will have to work on my pancake skills a little ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)
I just made some yummy Chicken.
4 Chicken Breasts 2 Heaped Tablespoons of No Fat Plain Yoghurt 1 Tablespoon of Curry Powder 1 Teaspoon of Dried Coriander
Mix together, marinate for 1hour, place on baking paper (on tray), bake in oven on 180 for 30mins or until cooked.
Yummy, Tender and all allowed (I hope)
So I think Day 1 went well
Breakfast - Coffee and Bacon and Egg Roll (minus the sauce and roll) M/Tea - Can of Tuna Lunch - 15 Prawns in a pancake that didn't work is it was more of a savory porridge B-|egg white only Dinner -Fish Fillet cooked in a bag (from Woolworths) with Herb and Garlic sauce which mostly gets left in the bag Snacks - Chicken thigh baked in oven and a couple of coffees through out the day Supper - Diet Jelly with a Tablespoon of No Fat Vanilla Yoghurt
I still logged my calories and I was under for the day until my slip up - Multigrain bread with peanut butter - my calories were still under by days end but my fat content was up because of the peanut butter, before that it was good
Feeling hopeful ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)

Hi Girls, Well done Judy!Shellie - you're going great! The only problem I see there is the bread (but you knew that) ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png) Other than that, it's fine. Just make sure you're drinking 1.5L of water everyday too - including the liquid in coffees, etc it's not too hard to attain. How are you feeling? I'm doing my first day of PV today after attack because yesterday was supposed to be PV but I forgot & did an extra day of PP! YesterdayB: oatbran porridgeL: crustless quicheD: baked lamb chops & curry sauceSnack: 3 no carb no sugar lollies (I get the Double D brand from Big W/Woolies)2 cups of tea, 3 coffees, 1 litre water, 1 can pepsi maxSo far I've lost 1.5kgs!! Woohoo!!Sunday's plan:B: oatbran muffin in a mug - (trying this one out, I'll let you know how it goes) not too bad, but needs yogurt & fair bit of sweetenerL: crustless quiche & saladD: rissoles & veg

I haven't made the best start this morning.
I did have a little sleep in after a bad nights sleep. I got a small load on the line and went for an 1hr 20min walk.
BUT....I didn't start eating until noon. And I am guessing that just isn't good.
Noon - Pork loin with lightest Philly spread
SO SOME QUESTIONS:
If the attack phase works well....
Can I continue it longer if I have the nerve?
Can I repeat it later on, maybe after a month of PV/PP Phase 2?
Could either of you tell me your way of making DUKAN Bread. Do you follow a particular recipe? Could you please post a link?

Hi Shellie - A good thing about this diet is there's no restrictions on how often you should eat, or how much. It's - if you feel hungry, you need to eat. The hunger & cravings will (and it sounds like they have for you) disappear so sometimes you have to make yourself eat more. (and your body won't think it's starving)
Is your attack phase working? Was it 6 days you said? - you might get sick of all the protein, & don't forget that once you switch to the Cruise phase, you'll be having PP days every 2nd day. I think I read somewhere between 3 & 7 days is average - otherwise under doctors advice. I think if you feel okay & your blood pressure is fine, do an extra day or 2 if you want, unless your weight loss peters off, then you need to just go on to the Cruise.
I think you'll only need to repeat the Attack if you fall off the wagon or your weight loss completely stops for like a week. (there will be plateau days) You'll be having PP days every 2nd day & the weight will still steadily fall off like magic so you shouldn't need to. ![:)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/smiley.png)
I've posted my microwave bread recipe in the recipes thread. HTH. You're doing great!
Judy - I found a philly cheese pizza base recipe & it's not bad!

Thanks Elasti, much appreciated. I will have a look at the bread recipe. I need to get onto making it
I am not feeling hungry. DD19 (studying Nutrition and Dietetics) has explained why and why the diet is actually working. They have studied about it at Uni.

Don't mean to be a killjoy but pork and lamb aren't allowed on Dukan until you're at goal i think they are too fatty. If you're losing weight it probably doesn't matter too much but if you aren't, that might be something to stop eating I lost 1.8kg last week as I'd put on 400g on the weekend. I often do but it's a new week and today I'm doing PP. tomorrow I'm doing PV as I'm going to a thermomix cooking class and there'll probably be some tasting (well I hope so! ![;)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/wink.png) )ill have to do PV on Wednesday as DS27 and his wife are coming to dinner and again on Thursday as DS20 has invited us for dinner! I'm hoping if I don't eat much during the day I might even lose some more weight???- not likely!!! Keep Going Girls! X x

Thanks Judy, that is just the sort of advice I need. Got myself a bit carried away on Protein, Protein and more Protein. I can be a little like that, reading the headings and not the small print ![(rofl)](//storage.proboards.com/forum/images/smiley/rofl.png)
This was the page I read, and I can see now there is NO LAMB, there is lean pork but I will try to avoid best I can. Mainly picked Pork at the Deli as it was less salty than ham (but same animal), and I decided to roast the Lamb Shoulder, well just cause I felt like it lol (I love Lamb)www.dukandiet.co.uk/low-carb-diet/food-listI have mostly oven baked all meat, or put under grill. Avoiding frying. I have been marinating the chicken and pork in no fat yoghurt with herbs and spices, in an attempt to 'spice things up a little'. I have lost 3.4Kilos so far (4days), it did slow down yesterday, so that might be the reason. I am 'attack'ing it with full vigor again today, so hopefully I will be get to that perfect Ketosis again today.
Please girls, keep the good advice coming. I am so happy and excited that finally I am seeing some results. The dark cloud I was feeling is lifting at last and I am feeling my efforts are finally starting to pay off. Thanks for everything.
