I dont really have DHs support to go back to fully doing Dukan but we are doing a PP day today. I need to get off a sugar craving!! Im thinking ill have fruit smoothies and a piece of fruit on my PV days ask its taking me too long to get to my Goal. I know this will mean it takes longer but I need to not miss whole food groups for so long. I will probably have carbs on days we entertain or go out but will refrain on ordinary nights at home. I will also try and do a couple of PP days a week. I am home today so Im going to be accountable here and every ime I read Shellies meals and weight loss I will be inspired!! To be truthful i dont even know what I weigh as I haven’t weighed myself in over a week but i know its not good. It's funny Judy, the bread thing is not bothering me at all. or pasta, rice, potatoes. It's the fruit and, of all things, Avocado that I miss the most. When we were away and had 'anything' we wanted, we did have bread and it just didn't do it for me.
I guess too, that my few cheats were a banana muffin and the odd cookie, so I've satisfied that craving at the time, and the Dukan Muffins are really working for me.
I did have a bowl of fresh fruit for breakfast while away and it really hit the spot, wish there had been more of it. DD20 ate a banana next to me this morning, and I have to admit I got a little cross about it and snapped 'In my ear, really, thanks alot', poor kid hi-tailed it out of the kitchen real quick. Yet when she made her toast I didn't care, in fact I went to buy the fresh bread at the bakery this morning and couldn't have cared less about anything they had. Funny.
So how far are you from actual goal? Just wondering if it would be quicker to 'just go it alone' without hubby and get it sorted over a week or 2 of concentrated 'cruising', then you can maintain from there. Just a thought.
Having said that about bread, I am trying a 'oven baked Dukan bread' today as DH is really missing it. The flat bread is handy and he enjoys that, but I think he'd be super happy with a sandwich for a change. This morning he asked 'could he have Crunchy Nut Cornflakes, and what's wrong with them any way?', so I think the monotony is getting to him.

Thanks Shellie I find it hard to do it without DH on board because he 1) drinks achohol, -a wine with dinner or a scotch and coke after dinner and often a little nightcap late evening just before bed. 2) he cooks muffins or biscuits, for guests. I dont have much will power and thought now that all kids have left home we wouldn’t have that sort of stuff in the house.Anyway Im determined not to have any ANZAC or chocolate chip biscuits today. I only had one yesterday which was better than the 4 the day before and the 5 i had on Friday (i know, terrible, but i can’t seem to stop myself and hate that I did it soon after) Tomorrow we are doing PP again and I am determined not to eat any of the jellybeans in the kitchen cupboard at work. Elasti suggested I have a diet coke instead and that was an excellent suggestion. We are having visitors for dinner on Thurs and the kids Fri for dinner. we need to use the corn cobs we have grown in our garden so they will be meat and veggie type of meals so i mightn’t have the corn and Im making one carrot cake that will be used for both meals for dessert so i won’t eat the L/O desserts. i know we entertain too much but that is what DH does- he loves it! Biut we can’t put our guests on our (quite restrictive) diet - even if we think they should lol anyway i think the trick is to plan ahead so I might make our Dukan bread tonight too BTW how much weight has your DH lost?

About 6 weeks ago I sorted all my jeans/slacks in the wardrobe into 3 piles. NOW, NEXT and LATER. Well I am happy to say I have moved on from the NOW pile (most of those have been tossed in the bin as they were falling apart, there are a few pairs there for the Op Shop). Now I am on the NEXT pile and yesterday I had the fun task of taking them in at the waist. Although I have lost some cm's from all areas, I have mostly lost it through my face, neck and torso at this stage. I have tops that are starting to look a bit baggy and all my waist bands are way too big, most pants are a relaxed fit now in the legs too (you know that day 2 denim feeling without having to wait till day 2). So with the waist bands taken in I can get a few more weeks/months out of these ones. Week 13

Wow Shellie- you are continuing to do great Im still not getting support from DH. He is saying all the right things ‘Yes, Ill do PP only days whenever you want’ but when we decided every Monday would be PP only AND HE AGREED, this morning he came and kissed me goodbye smelling of vegemite and I knew we didnt have any Dukan bread Im doing something new and downloaded and paid for a app (I know probably paid too much for too little) but I will be eating 6 smaller meals each day with whole foods and healthy options. I do get hungry about 4 o’clock and I tend to snack and when I crave something I just can’t resist so I’m thinking having fruit/nuts/yogurt on hand and eating before i get hungry will help with this. .I will still do PP days on Monday and we’ll see how that goes -DH is getting PP dinners on Monday regardless!!

Shellie you are going great! WTG! I really like your idea of 'now, next & later' piles of clothes & I'm totally gonna steal that. BTW - I looked in the freezer section at the shops & couldn't find skinny cow ice blocks, only sundae cups & ice-cream cookies. But there is a 'no sugar added' ice-cream tub that's low carb (I think it's Pauls?) but I think portion control there might be a problem for me. Judy - I don't have support from my DH either, it's hard. Ok, so here I go again. Round # whatever... (you can't say I don't keep trying lol)
I just did a big shop & I want to do a bit of prepping & try some of Shellie's recipes (my word you've been doing your research girl I'm impressed & a big thank you) so I need to go & make something for my lunch & decide on dinner tonight & I'm hoping if the weather holds up to take DS out for a walk later. I'm going to do PP for 3 or 4 days, I really haven't decided yet. The last few times I've fallen at the first hurdle.

Judy, you've got this, you are sooooo close. Just make what you need to have and then add something to it for DH. Being a coffee fiend I often grab a Skim Cap and call it my Snack. App sounds good, what's it called?
Elasti, you and Judy were my inspiration. You can do this hun. Mostly here I just make what DH and I need and then add to it for the kids. I have explained to them and their various plus 1's what we are doing and don't mind it if what we are having is different or weird. Even the plus 1's are being supportive. You are welcome to use my Now, Next, Later piles, no need to steal, happy to give.
And as far as hubby's support goes, we are just fine supporting ourselves. I think my DH is moving onto Stablization phase. He has been feeling low energy. I guess cause I do EVERYTHING for him, he just goes along with it quite happily. Lets see how fun (for me) it will be adding DH Stabilization, to my Cruise along with the Kids whatever. But I am determined. I have never been on a diet that was so satisfying and achievable. Thanks again a million times for continuing to talk about it, so I'd finally get the hint and jump on board.
